If we got an independent cape the amount of unbelievable talent that would step forward to lead it would be so great. Why on earth would we pick Mr Mckenzie; we would have access to leaders who could compete on a global level, not Gayton for goodness sake.
Everyone talks about independent Cape, but without the actual first people of the Cape. So this so called independent cape is only invented for the benefit of the Whites. Please now, don't tell me it's for So called Coloureds too. We not included, we not mention, we not even called. So like the Codesa agreements that's how I see this independent cape structure, formation and implantation. Exclusion of the first people of the cape. So that the Whites can find some security. I would like Alec to ask Rob next time, what he thinks about the PA joining the ANC-EFF coalition in JHB and Tshwane? If its out of spite for the DA, surely he's making the residents of these cities suffer because of personal reasons. What does it say about Gayton's integrity? Rather stay as opposition then, but giving power back to ANC-EFF can't be right??
I think that has been answered by Gaton, Corne and Herman. Helen Zille is the problem. Nothing to do with spite against the DA, both needed the PA to have a majority and after Helen bit the PA in the hand, the PA went the other way. Why does that put suspicion on Gaton's integrity? I made the comment that Alec asked both Gaton and Herman if they would be able to go back to the discussions, and after both said they will not if Helen is involved, but at the end says, yes, they will for the greater good. When the same question was asked to Helen, if she would step down for the greater good, she said NO! Whose integrity's at play her?
@@hansielategan969 You clearly didn't listen to Helen Zille's response at the same Biznews conference. She is just the messenger. She takes all the coalition requests back to the DA's Federal Congress. Then the congress makes a decision and Zille brings that message back to the coalitions. She is not the one calling the shots so even if she steps down, nothing will change.
@@rgee I listened, but that does not mean you as an individual cannot take a stance if it is in the greater good. Is it not obvious there is an issue with a person and not a party?
A point that Alec and Rob are missing about the lack of success of these coalitions is that, why would the DA want a successful coalition? Just listen to them properly. They have been complaining about smaller parties. Their main campaign for the 2021 election was to not vote for smaller parties. So now coalitions make smaller parties look good and if smaller parties look good, the DA loses more votes. If coalitions do well, the DA will lose more votes to ActionSA, if coalitions do well, the DA will lose more coloured voters to the PA. If coalitions do well, the DA loses more afrikaner voters to the VF+. So coalitions are a lose lose for the DA, so I am not surprised that the biggest hinderance in their success is the DA. Their claim to fame is being the sober alternative, and now that there are other sober alternatives, why would the DA want the others to succeed?
Most South Africans just love and appreciate Rob Hersov and him shouting out!! But why the heck so much emphasize on Gaton Mckenzie?! He is not fit for government.
I'm not sure how Rob can so strongly support the PA as a viable alternative to the ANC when they are handing control to the ANC all over the country. Definitely backing the wrong horse!

I'm sensing a really bad vibe from the likes of Rob Hersov and Frans Cronje in regards to the 2024 elections. It seems we can admit a defeat to the ANC which honestly gives me the chills. Hope it not a point of no return from 2024 onwards. God bless SA!
I am sure you saw the dejected look Alec Hog's face when Frans said ANC support has stopped declining and the opposition support has stopped increasing? I suspect some DA supporters will vote for the ANC just so that it doesn't have to go into a coilition with the EFF.
If we continue to vote for small, troublesome Opposition parties, then the ANC will easily remain the largest political party in SA for a long time to come. The only way to close the gap on the ANC's electoral dominance in 2024 is for us all to collectively vote for the Official Opposition or DA, which is the second largest political party in SA .It really is that simple!! ( strategic voting is best)

It is not just ANC voters who are to blame for our predicament. If we continue to vote for small opposition parties, then the ANC will easily remain the largest political party in SA for a long time to come!!. The ONLY way to defeat the ANC in 2024 is for us all to collectively vote for the second largest political party in SA, which is the Official Opposition or DA. Gayton is unfiltered, I'll always trust that kind of person. Too much diplomacy and politeness is what lead us to disappointments like we are with Cyril Ramaphosa. He can't be worse than the ANC that's for sure.
Start promoting Action SA and the PA in the townships, and you will get the coalition. Keep backing Hellen Zille, whom many blacks do not care for, and ANC will team up with the EFF and inflict more pain. Choose your battles carefully. Mashaba needs to take on the presidency
I like your views 👍, to avoid the EFF-ANC coalition, the Action SA and PA are the best options, Black people (me included) lost hope in the DA / Hellen Zille and that explains why the DA along with the ANC lost support to Action SA in Gauteng which went from 0 to 16% of the votes in Johannesburg
This is no solution, just moving the goal posts. Complete change as being advocated by the Organic Humanity Movement is the way forward for EVERYONE in South Africa.
You cannot trust a Ex Criminal who is a cameleon which change colour and stanze daily between which parties they support. The PA is just after all the big positions in municipalities to commit corruption, that is why they are after it regardless with Coalition or ANC.
Well, If you ask me Rob is a Johnny come lately in SA politics compared to Hellen Zille. a Guy who boasts about getting rid of ALL foreign workers in SA the very next day after he is elected and calling for the resignation of Zille is to be taken with a pinch of salt. The DA and Zille have eons of experience with SA politics and now Herov thinks he can buy a gangster to run the Western Cape better than they do.. sorry, doesn’t make sense
Agree with all positive input but Mckenzie really? We are in deep deep trouble because of lack of leadership and qualifications, experience etc. Surely there are more qualified people to truly lead the Western Cape going forward. Rob, get of the Mckenzie thing.
The anc makes running a business already close to impossible in this country. Doubt most business owners have the energy to poke the hornets nest. They talk with their vote but there’s not that many of them.
Please adk Rob what is his fascinating with Gayton? Gayton is giving the anc a foot into the western cape. He allowed them back into Beaufort West and other small municipalitys in the W.C.
If Gayton runs the Western Cape we all may just pack up and leave. Watch a sobering interview on this channel with Helen Zille on who mr Gayton really is when it comes to money and power, and who is keeping the ANC in power in some areas.

I am so dissapointed with corporate business not supporting you and finding their balls. They are in a comfort zone and dont want to lose what they have a comfy life.. Why are they are so apathetic? We should be rising up. Anytime you stand up you stand alone. Fracking is a disaster. Just know this has all been looked at before you.. Use your energy well but look where you are going. Dont just crash in. Do look at what has already been evaluated and preserve our environment at all costs. Please dont let them get those powerships. Andre was right. This geriatric government will be sipping cocktails in Dubai in a years time and our children will be picking up the tab.
Keep up the superb work. Thank you.
Rob is definitely motivating me
I love Gayton's positive energy!! ! He can have my vote!!!
A vote for gayton is a vote for the anc, look at johannesburg, tshwane, knysna or cederberg if you need proof.
Thanks Rob.
And yes...SA's general public has gone soft!!!
Well done Biznews! Well done Rob! Keep at it please.
Rob, we are not complacent as you think, we are waiting for the right time.
Love your work Rob, and heres the thing: There are ALOT more South African who arent woosies, and are well prepared to stand up and be fully confrontation than meets the eye.... The reason for that is that the MSM ( for now) drive the narrative but that is slowlly yet surely changing, one person at a time.... Keep on keeping on with much Love from a fellow Cape exitie

Why are we not invited, informed, included. And dont tell me about Peter Marias he is not one of us, he is not our people. Don't talk about Calvin Cornelius you guy spoke too, involved. He is not our leader, never was and never will be. He is no king. Fraudelent title he invented for himself. There is no Histirical facts about his ancestry that he should be king or was a king in his family history.

GOOD WORK...
Gayton is a two face corrupt thug. Whow can he get in to bed with ANC and EFF?
DEFINITELY having an impact! Sorry about the negatives, Rob. Most people don't like the truth.
Rob, send it, we need you. ANC voetsak
Please Rob crying out we need you!! Keep strong & keep going in what you believe....God bless.
LIZETTO
Because PA, EFF is the ANC Alliance wing, like the tripart alliances

Rob Hersov is the leader we thought we did not have.
Look at the UIM and Neil De Beer if you want someone with a vision and the courage to follow through!
Wonderful Rob, as always.
If only and only when and until these politicians can stop their own power agendas and work together for OUR country collectively and in unison, we have no hope.

Helen Zille is a huge asset. She is brave courageous and brilliant.. Gayton is outspoken, but sometimes he must be careful what he says. Words have meaning. He needs to show sensitivity to others. We are all born in G-ds image.
Gayton is unfiltered, I'll always trust that kind of person. Too much diplomacy and politeness is what lead us to disappointments like we are with Cyril Ramaphosa. People who are always too careful and always lying and making people hopeful. Zille is too filtered and I personally won't bet on her to lead the country. She could just be another Ramaphosa. Those kind of people always stand on the fence, you don't know what they stand for. That's very risky. People who would never give you a yes or no answer, people who are ĺke warm about everything, they speak in tounges and riddles.

Gayton speaks the right language, his heart seems at the right place, but it's hard to really trust him. He is a business man and a reformed thug. Can't wear off the feeling that he is playing his cards right. It's a business phenomenon. Win customers over, close competitors or run them out of business, then increase prices or basically act back to your prime instincts. I can't vote for him but will understand people who do. He can't be worse than the ANC that's for sure.
Cape Republic will have to adopt a similar system of government like Switzerland as a confederation of states.

It's amazing how common sense it's not so common
You are logical
The Gayton / Helen sideshow is something that Gayton conceived to cover his love for the ANC
Start promoting Action SA and the PA in the townships, and you will get the coalition. Keep backing Hellen Zille, whom many blacks do not care for, and ANC will team up with the EFF and inflict more pain. Choose your battles carefully. Mashaba needs to take on the presidency
Most sensible comment here yet 🎉
I like your views 👍, to avoid the EFF-ANC coalition, the Action SA and PA are the best options, Black people (me included) lost hope in the DA / Hellen Zille and that explains why the DA along with the ANC lost support to Action SA in Gauteng which went from 0 to 16% of the votes in Johannesburg

Agree with all positive input but Mckenzie really? We are in deep deep trouble because of lack of leadership and qualifications, experience etc. Surely there are more qualified people to truly lead the Western Cape going forward. Rob, get of the Mckenzie thing.
Why are there no more business and thought leaders speaking up like Hersov does? What would it take to get them to grow a pair?
The anc makes running a business already close to impossible in this country. Doubt most business owners have the energy to poke the hornets nest. They talk with their vote but there’s not that many of them.
