Richard's original release of this song is the reason I even like gospel music today. As a teenager, I could not stand gospel music, and then they played this song on WVON. I've never been the same since. God bless you Richard Smallwood.
I get chills whenever Charrisse sings!!! and not just now...from as long as i could remember. her singing really touches me in a special way. Keep singing for JESUS Charrisse!!! keep touching lives. God bless you. God bless you.
Every time I hear this song I feel the Holy Spirit spoke to me showing me the size of my God and me that despite being just dust he loves me with a love of the same size, then start to cry!
When we sing like the brothers and sisters here at Pastor Richard Smallwoods congregation, we singing like King David unto the Lord God Most High, the man after Gods own heart, i thank God Almighty 4 dis worship team, very amazing, it glorifies our Almighty God. im very thankful.
Totally riveted and blessed by Psalm 8 this morning!!! The more I reflect on this the more I'm in awe and filled with joy, praise, and thanks!! This song really captures a piece of that!!
Amen, sister! You know I come from Spain, and I worked for a couple of years as a research fellow at Indiana University. I joined the African American Choral Ensemble (no kidding, and I was not the only white European there). It was an amazing experience from the musical, personal, and spiritual points of view. We sang this song. By the end of the performance I could see some of the tenors crying. Peace!

At 2:38 when the full choir goes into "Oh Lord," is that a split in the tenor parts? I hear the altos and a note just under the alto note and then a lower note. Or is it just me?
@PrazHymn83 I'm not sure about that particular part, but I know there are some parts where there are 4 parts sung. I just taught this to my choir from the sheet music and there are a few splits throughout the song.
@LaRue1212 LOLOL!!! I'll see what I can do! I'm glad you like them. I thought they were nice and some of them were pretty funny like "when do I play?!" LOL!!!! Be blessed!!
I love the dialogue bubbles... wish you had more of them (not overkill, though... maybe one per minute or minute and a half? LOL). And also can you put "w/ bubbles" in the description so I'll know to look for them when I see your vids? LOL!! I'm LOLing, but I'm kinda serious. :-) Oh and one last thing: CHARISSE ROCKS!!!!! Whew!!!

@gplus46 There may be four parts (baritones). But sometimes, some low-pitch instruments sound like another part.
I love all of your vids esp. this one. And lol at these captions!
At 2:38 when the full choir goes into "Oh Lord," is that a split in the tenor parts? I hear the altos and a note just under the alto note and then a lower note. Or is it just me?
@kireiichi Look online at any sheet music site, and look under Richard Smallwood, for the songbook to 'Persuaded: Live in DC'
@PrazHymn83 I'm not sure about that particular part, but I know there are some parts where there are 4 parts sung. I just taught this to my choir from the sheet music and there are a few splits throughout the song.
