    My adhd is super noise sensitive. Looks cool but the grating up and down would drive me cray. I also prefer smooth fiddling surfaces. Rather than rough. Great review though.

    • @MewithADHD
      @MewithADHD  2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      It's actually more of a satisfying sound in person but yeah I could see people not loving the nosie though :) but thank you I'm glad you watched it anyways!! I'm thinking about doing some more ADHD related reviews in the future :)

    • @iyaayas
      @iyaayas 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like the noise, feel, and fidgetability as I imagine it to be in person but if I had that pen in 90% of situations where I'd like to use it, the noise would become disruptive to the class/meeting. When using it to take notes for my inspections (as a QA Inspector), the bolts would get in the way. LOVE the idea but too noisy for the relatively silent environments I'd use it in.

    I'm a fan of stimming to focus. But, the fact that ADHD is all about forgetting and losing things, why are there no stoppers at each end of the pen? Tilt it upright to write with it and the nuts fall off. Tilt the pen horizontally to put it in a desk drawer and the nuts fall off. I'd say that is my nightmare pen, just another thing to keep track of in a world of endless things to track.

    don't think you'll see this, but i have a bit of a problem with adhd
    i myself do think I have adhd, and multiple people that I know with adhd have told me I most likely do, because I have almost every symptom you typically see.
    the problem is that I am not allowed to take a test for adhd. I am only 12 (almost 13) and my parents don't believe in mental illnesses, or if they do, they don't believe that I could have adhd or even add due to the fact that I have good grades (A's and B's, but its really hard for me to stay on track with this). So I don't think they would take me to get a test for any mental illness
    here are a couple of things i think are symptoms that i have
    i have trouble focusing on tasks if there is too much background noise, I'd have to wear noise canceling headphones with nothing playing, or I can't focus. If i play music I would just stop doing my task and listen to the music.
    im not sure if this is a symptom but i am really fidgety. its hard for me to sit still in a classroom or honestly anywhere
    i find it kind of hard to pay attention to people talking to me, I would just randomly stop paying attention and or zone out
    I can extremely focus on stuff but it would be sort of like everything else disappears to me
    this part is kinda strange, I have some fidgety or focus toys that I use but I get unfocused focusing on the focus/fidget thingies.
    I also have moderate anxiety symptoms, but once again, i don't think my parents would agree to getting me tested, due to the fact that they don't think I have any mental illnesses
    does anybody have any advice for me? or can somebody tell me if there is a chance of me even having adhd? it would really help me out
    thanks

    hey, u seem to know a lot about adhd. i have a question for you. i'm 13 years old and i've known about and been medicating for my adhd since about age five. recently, as i've gotten older i've had to study for more tests, and not just cram the night before. physics in particular, i just cant seem to remember any knowledge on that. it always just seems to slip through my grasp.
    but anyways, that comes to my question. my parents will do flashcards with me, and they'll ask me like the definition of something, or an equation. i'll often know, or think i know, the answer, but the answer just kinda floats around in my brain, and i cant put them to words. that usually ends up with me making frantic hand motions while i get really frustrated cause my mind isnt doing what i want it to do. often just little bits of words or sentences will start coming out of my mouth that dont really make any sense.
    is this a symptom of adhd, or is it just me being really bad at physics?
    hope this comment wasnt too long. as someone who has adhd, i usually skip over long and what i assume to be probably boring questions.

    Seriously though, I have several different pairs of sandals, tennis shoes, and work boots BECAUSE I'll misplace them and don't want to waste time searching for them. Each set has a door or suitcase they belong with, sometimes they don't get put back...that's where all the backups cone in and when I see a pair hanging out, I can put them in the path that leads to where they belong for me to put them there when I actually walk that path later.

    Hey. I have ADHD and was recently diagnosed by a neuro-psychiatrist. He gave me meds and after taking it i was weak. Like when you have fever and feel lathergic and do-not want to move, its just like that. It made me sleepy but my Sleep cycle just break down after every 3 seconds. When at night i am sleeping my sleep is disturbed by don't know what and i try to sleep again but after an hour or so my sleep is broken down again. My neck just pains so much for spondylitis that after taking for 4 days i had to stop taking those fkng meds.
    What should I do now. Pls help.

It sounds like you are having pretty bad side effects so I would talk to your psychiatrist and start taking something else. You should not be feeling weak and lathergic on ADHD medication lol, it should be the opposite. It's a stimulant that raises your blood pressure and dopamine release so you should be feeling full of energy and active.
