@@Seanraven7 She said her first kiss was when she was 6.. but like real kiss was with Simon because when she started in Miss Saigon she haven't had any boyfriend yet. Her first boyfriend was in her early 20's i think.

What an epic...so bewildered to see these two main actors in the world-renown musical theater show Miss Saigon singing together after many decades of its first show in West End in 1989 running for several years. Truly an amazing reunion! A long affair working and maintaining friendship. A classic act!
It's even written on Simon's website that Lea has never kissed a bloke when they started Miss Saigon. People were asking him if the love between them is real. The chemistry 100%.
Miss Saigon was on Broadway in '91 but started in London in '89. Lea was 18 and Simon would've been 28.
They have the best chemistry ever! Their genuine friendships has remained the same through the years..

After the song, Lea talks about the beginning of Miss Saigon and explains how frightening it felt for her when she was about to rehearse the love scenes with Simon, having had no experience with a boyfriend, let alone love before. Simon could see the anxiety in Lea, so he took her and her mum aside and told them: "You can trust me. I will take care of you. Don't worry, I will not take advantage of you." With the pressure of the leading role in a world premiere musical and the entire nation watching her, as well as in light of MeToo, this obviously means so much to Lea and she'll be forever grateful to Simon that he kept his promise. You can see clearly how deep their bond goes. Great respect for Simon Bowman!
Miss Saigon was my first musical I ever watched. It will always be my favorite. I was lucky enough to have see. Lea perform as Kim on Broadway when my family visited NYC. Once in a lifetime opportunity. Yes, Lea is… Broadway Royalty, Living Legend, certified Disney Legend.

Also, Simon was around 27-28 when he worked with Lea. He was not part of the Broadway production in 1991, but was the original cast in the west end (1989). Efra did his best with the math, but he counted 2021, 2011, and 1991. He skipped 2001 =))))

No matter how old their performances were, it always puts a wide smile on my face. I was a few months old when they performed in the 1st Miss Saigon, and yes, I'm in my early 30's and I still love them.
Hope you can also react to Lea's real-life "Chris". Her husband surprised her in her concert and sang with her. Just search for "LEA SALONGA AND HUSBAND SINGING 'I do" and WITH YOU I'M BORN AGAIN" .. her husband is a CEO and not into limelight so this will be exciting for you both to watch/react. by the way, that was Lea's 40th-anniversary concert because she started her career at age 7, auditioned at 6.
nothing beats the original. In that concert, Lea sang with her daughter. Hope you can react to that too, They sang "SHY" and her daughter is really shy in person so this song is perfect for her. Lea's not always wearing make-up when going out or not performing and she definitely looks WAY YOUNGER than in this video, it might be the make-up here or the light. I've seen her barefaced up close and she got nice skin and hasn't aged at all.
Both their voices are overwhelmingly dreamy and romantic feels is soo great!, not just the singing but the acting is superb too. Wowza!

Just discovered you guys. So great to see young people admiring and respecting two very greats of both London and New York theater. Simon was 28 and Lea 18 at the start of their years together in Miss Saigon. When you look back at the chemistry that these two were able to portray on the stage, they had to be in real love. You can obviously see that great chemistry which they still share after all these years in the clip which you have recently observed. Also they were blessed having been the first Kim and Chris to interpret and bring to life that great musical score. Thanks again!

I forgot that you guys reacted to Lea's audition (actually part of her callback) for MISS SAIGON when she was 17. We see her learning the song "Sun and Moon" from the composer and then singing it so beautifully. And this concert was almost 30 years after that audition! And you reacted to the longer video titled Lea's audition but actually includes footage of some of the MISS SAIGON rehearsals and a talk show appearance when Lea and Simon sang "Sun and Moon" together (roughly 29 years before this concert).
