Btw, the conductor of the orchestra is Lea's younger brother, Gerard Salonga.
It's very obvious that Esang got a lot of coaching from Lea with her ENUNCIATION. You can clearly see it even with that distant shot.
Very talented people.
It is called the Mark of Lea and this is obvious in those she coached. Please see an example in Voice Kids Philippines Cyd Palangca singing When We Were Young. One of the mark is injecting emotions.

According to esang coach leah had a very sharp ear.... even a dot mistake leah could notice thats why esang really paying an attention during her rehearsal coz she dont want to mess up....and she look up coach leah a big tree a legend that she idolized since she start singing and choose as a mini me.

Lea started to audition at the age of 6 and got in on her first musical at age 7 then her first lead role is as Annie when she was 9.. Lea can definitely see herself in Esang.
Much younger I think. I have been watching her show on TV titled Love Leah at the 6 with Gerard. But before that at the age of 5 she already did the musical show.
When Esang auditioned on The Voice - Kids, of course Lea turned, along with all the other judges. She kept saying she'd been waiting for Esang to come and told everyone that Esang is her "mini me". Esang's conversations are usually in straight Filipino, but when she sings she obviously has perfect diction, as coached by Lea herself! I've watched an interview of Lea where she looked almost like an excited mother, talking about how Esang has been asked to audition and join several theatrical productions abroad.

Its Lea’s anniversary. In that same show her special guest was Simon Bowman , the original Chris in the show Miss Saigon , singing sun and moon and the last night of the world. You will love it!

I LOVE Lea Salonga SO MUCHHHH😭💜 she is one of the reasons i got into BTS as she is a huge of fan of V from Bts . when she mentioned about V in one of her interview . i checked them out and lmao got to know that i had been listening to Vs song sweet night on spotify on loop everyday as i was unaware that he V was from BTS .
I hope you can also listen to their other songs. Bts also have many great song.

It was the first concert I had ever attended and it was worth every penny.
Esang actually played the title role of 'Matilda' when the show was brought to Manila.
Esang joined a televised talent show when she was young, she was imitating Lea, that is why she was dub Lea’s “mini me”. Lea probably heard of her through that talent show, so when Esang auditioned on the voice kids, Lea was so excited to see her and she said “i know you, you are mine”.
Esang was also in “your face sounds familiar” with the TNT boys, she’s had some amazing performance there as well - one of them was to imitate Lea. Please react to those video when you have the time. Thank you

This is another wonderful reaction to Esang de Torres. She truly is a Lea Mini Me. This is making me miss theater so much. Both your points of view are so nice to listen to. She has been trained by her dad who sings but is really a lawyer. When her dad saw her potential, he decided to nurture her love of singing. Lea mentors her on her theater career too. There is an interview of Esang by CNN Philippines that would be nice for you to watch although it is in Tagalog. Unfortunately, I don’t think there are English subtitles on it. Yes it is from lea's 40th anniversary concert.
Lea's mother also recommended Esang to musical theatre producer Cameron Mackintosh, she was invited to audition for the role of Little Cosette and was casted to play the role on the Les Miserables manila production.
