2 weeks ago i upgraded from the mini 2 to the air 2s (fly more combo),a huge upgrade and i’m really happy with my choice to upgrade to the air 2s.

I own both the Air2s and the mavic 3 .. I thought I would be flying my Air2s less once I bought the M3 but find myself flying them both,each has its own unique camera styles and I can get some really incredible shots with different dimensions to choose between or mix together…if your a photographer and your really serious about aerial photography and can afford it it’s worth owning both drones….heck I still use my mini 2 quite often as my dedicated daily travel drone just in case …other wise I use the m3 and Air2s primarily…for example I did a wedding and between the two I was able to get some photos that were both unique and memorable without interfering with the wedding either by being a distraction or noisy…..

I still have the Air 2s since its launch over 1.5 years ago. I think the Mavic 3 classic is better in every way but not enough to upgrade for me since I don't fly professionally. The next generation of drones, Air 3 or Mavic 4 will probably have enough extra features to pull the trigger.

I do think the Air 3 looks good. I fly and make videos for fun and not professionally. Based on the Air 2s having 5.4K resolution for cropping in during post and the 1 inch camera sensor still being excellent, I have decided not to upgrade. I think that the upgrade to the Air 3 is worth it if you are interested in night videography. The night footage to me looks nearly as good as the Mavic 3. Also, if you are not happy with the battery life of the Air 2s, then the longer battery life could be a good case for upgrading to the Air 3. Just my opinion.
Great video. I opted for the mavic 3 classic from the air2. Hugh upgrade in every way. I’m blown away with the dynamic range in the files and especially when filming in dlog.

Thanks for the explanation of both drones. Being a photographer I wish I had the Mavic 3 but the Air2s is much more compact and lighter for travelling and is why I chose it.

I have the Air2S and love it. Being that I'm a professional Photographer, there are some features I need from the Classic. Controllable aperture is #1...I need my f stops. #2 is the ability to automated flight in movie mode(not hyperlapse). Sometimes, say for instance, I need a semi-circle around a property. I can try all I want manually and for some reason, I just can not get it smooth enough. I'm hoping automation fixes that. #3 is the longer battery life...that rocks. My backup drone is the Mini 3 Pro, a great drone in its own right. Thanks for the comparisons.

As for the waypoint issue on the A2S, have you researched the RedWaypoint Pro or Rainbow Pro apps?

Great video. Thank you. I have the Air 2S and am impressed with it, and the quality of the video and stills. BUT, with no side sensors, I have a habit of not looking where I am going sometimes and keep having little mishaps. With side sensors, on the Classic, that will not be happening.
Being retired, I cannot justify for price of the Mavic 3 PRO.
I am waiting to see what DJI offer with the Air 3 which is I believe is due for release in July 2023.

Thank you for a really great video. I finally decided on the Mavic 3 Classic over the Air 2S. Not really enthused over the 1/2 tele lens on the M3. Just two questions, do you think DJI will ever release a SDK for the Mavic 3? and, where can I find the payload rating on the Air 2S and Mavic 3 Classic? Cheers, Ron
According to what I can find, it appears both are payload rated at 500 grams. Was hoping the Mavic 3 would be a little more. Cheers.

I recently bought the Air 2S because you cant use 3rd party software with the Mavic 3. Something to consider if you do mapping or use apps like litchi. Great comparison. Thank for the info.

I have the Air 2s and got a good deal for the Mavic 3 classic though not flown it yet as I live in the UK and all we have since I bought it is Rain every day, Roll on a bit of sun.

Great footage throughout the video, Dan. One of the advantages of the Air 2S is transportability, being smaller and lighter. It also folds down more securely than the more 'fidely' thinner arms of the Mavic 3, making it easier to handle. There is an automatic crop on the Air 2S's 4K 30fps and higher. Also, Airsense is not available in 4K 30fps and above on the Air 2S. You do get every dollar's worth with both drones. DJI do not overprice. If you can afford the Mavic 3 Classic and you need its features, then you won't regret paying for it. The Air 2S though is a great all-rounder.
I originally thought the same but if you consider the accesories, 3-4 batteries the weight is more while M3 will be lighter cus you get more flight time with less batteries, so... damn :/
They are both fantastic drones, whichever one you get, you’ll be more than happy with.
@@DansTubeTV I am/was happy with Air2s however the crackling issue appeared on one of the legs on the exact same spot as all other people showing the defected Air2 building material. It's really annoying that even after repair it seems like it will appear again. Just like that out of nothing.
@@dicekolev5360 I meant only that the Air 2S itself is easier to handle. Yes, I realised that extra batteries would result in more overall weight with the Air 2S. However, handling the Mavic 3 takes more care (to avoid touching the various sensors) and the lack of 'solidity' resulting from the motor arms when they are up against the drone body. It's a more awkward drone in your hands.
"Airsense is not available in 4K 30fps and above on the Air 2S" - this is incorrect. AirSense remains active in ALL video and photo modes.
Everything you would expect from a newer more expensive drone in the M3C.The new slightly lower prices for the Air 2s make it a good choice but the Air 3 must be just around the corner.

It's happy flying with my Air 2S~ for the price its the more affordable drone for everyone with the pro level features, and also its smaller than and lighter than M3C if you will going out for travel or hiking or something etc.,

The fixed aperture means that you lose a lot of details compared to the Mavic 3 Classic, which offers you a wider range of f 2.8-f11
It does, this definitely makes the M3C a professional offering above the Air 2S.

For me the Air2S ist one of DJI's best drones and I can watch as many comparisions and reviews and I already compared them by my self (M3C from a friend), but there is nothing for me that justifies a changes to the Mavic3Classic. Espacailly when I think about my photo bag, where I can put the Air2S vertical in and save a ton of space!

I look back with fondness to the Parrot Anafi drone; a 20 MP camera, magnificently smooth Waypoints (even at higher speeds), while up and down control of the gimbal; considerate FPV modes for precision flying. Alas no obstacle avoidance, but around $900.00 😐. Stooped production I believe. Now we at at the mercy of DJI.

I bought the air2s to replace my Mavic 2 zoom 3 weeks before the Mavic 3 classic was released. Would have preferred the mc3 mainly due to the larger size sensor and definitely adjustable aperture.
Hasselblad is just a brand name that DJI bought the rights to a while back. There's no 'in-house Hasselblad' color science or any other specialty Hasselblad design. Both came out of the same department at DJI.

Huh? Hasselblad is a MANUFACTURER of cameras - lenses. DJI became the majority owner of Hasselblad because they have foresight, now only DJI drones will have Hasselblad cameras. In other words, you won’t see a DJI drone with a canon, Sony, Nikon etc camera.
@@FrostedNut I think you have it backwards. You won't see other drones with the Hasselblad name on it. Without actually knowing, I would almost guarantee any DJI drone without a Hasselblad camera has a Sony.

No body talks about the bad digital sharpness that Air2S's got in videos, we wonder why, is it for marketing? We guess it is. Being the owner of Air2S we can say that the video quality of Air2S without any defusion filter on it is very digital, not at all cinematic, guys don't get fooled by all these YT reviews of Air2S or lower quality drones as with these you will never gonna get cinematic footages, try us if we are wrong in this opinion...
Interesting point you make, the Air 2S can still capture phenomenal photos and videos, it is also ideal for most people’s needs.
@@DansTubeTV yes of course! But the point we are making is about the digital sharpness in Air2S's video footages without any mist filters, that makes this drone a hobbit's choice for videos and not for the professionals, sorry we are being honest in this topic...

Hasselblad has in no way shape or form created this camera. It's not the Swedish company it once was, and all the color science is created by DJI. It's a gimmick.
