Largest out side of SF. All those "Tong" buildings and Gastown were built with ballast from the grain tall ships returning from China: those are Chinese red bricks. Since the ballast had to be unloaded for gain, they were basically right at the Portside for building. Been in every one of those buildings. Found walled off rooms and old beer unopened. !!
