Everytime, every person does the sectioning wrong. You need to keep the front ponytail right in the middle of your brows and your back ponytail super high. Wrong sectioning is why you get choppy layers.
I have a very small forehead and face overall. If I section it to the middle of my forehead the sides of the triangle or circle whatever it is end up covering up the end of my eyes

@@lapetitefleur3482 Yes, that's the reason. Short hair will look great in just two but for longer and thicker hair it doesn't make much difference. There were no layers visible at the back when I cut mine this way.

1. Your pony tail is not high enough! 2. You NEED to cut a considerable amount of hair on the front side at least up to your chin to see the results. 3. Try to cut the same amount on both the parts (it really doesn't decrease the overall length of the hair).

Secure another ponytail about 3 inches up from the bottom. Cut right above the elastic. Take it out and it should fall perfectly. Less is more the first time.

Si queda bien en cabellos ondulados, pero acá no se hizo bien la parte de atrás,la coleta de atrás tiene que llegar más arriba en la cúspide de la cabeza, y en la parte de adelante cortar un poco más y tratar de cortar la misma medida de cabello atrás que adelante, así se notará mejor el corté .
Hair in the front isn’t low enough should be in the middle of the eyebrows and the hair in the back ain’t high enough it should be high on the apex you gotta have the front pulled out at an angle same with the top .

I have the same hair type as you. I cutted it like this(the actual correct way). I don't regret it. Cuz I have curly hair it hides all the mistakes (if there is any at least), it's even better for your curl pattern if you have layers (according to Brad mondo). If you cut it and doesn't turn out pls don't blame me or brad or the video inspiration your looking at. Make sure your hair is wet. Make sure that the top ponytail is between your eyebrows. Make sure if the inspiration video is correct (this video is wrong), you can look at comments to check if it's correct. Hope this helps

You cut wayyyyyy too close to the hairtie and also you cut straight horizontally across when you more so wanna make little diagonal snips until you get little triangles in a way
Actually she did this wrong. Idk why she parted her hair and had two pointy tails like? What? Your supposed to brush allll the hair to the front, super tight, tie it up in a pony tail at the very tip and center of your forehead and then cut a straight line. Then, u twist the hair to the right, cut again. Teist the hair to the left, cut again. And it looks AMAZING!!

For long hairs, 3 ponytails are needed. Then it works.

And thick hair too, the layers look more gradual. But for medium and short length 2 is good!

I think for an amateur DIY haircut. She did a decent job. Add some lovely big roller curls and it should look nice 👍

Your supposed to cut ABOVE the rubber band so when you cut your hair, the piece you cut off stays in a ponytail, not a big handful of hair lol
