Hahaha I knew you would enjoy that part! New Haarlem is so sexy and they did amazing with the new batch! If it were not for trying to have more fragrance diversity on my channel, I would easily own 10 more Bond no.9 fragrances right now. Governors island, Dubai black sapphire, Dubai jade, Dubai citrine, Dubai platinum, Saks 5th for him, So new York, shelter island and a few from the Harrods line up as well etc. Just so many bangers! And she knows not to touch my collection or she will be out on those streets 🙃😂
I was just playing around lmao, New Bond street and Scent of Peace are hers mainly because I could not stand the Carolina Herrera good girl she would wear 😂...That stuff is so sharp and awful to my nose. I don't normally tear apart certain scents because a lot of people may like it; however, that one in particular deserves the " its synthetic title" literally smells like nail polish and nail polish remover with poor fragrance oil added. I literally could not be in the same room when she would spray it 🤢🤮. One of the worst scents I have ever smelled no questions asked haha
@@universalfragrance LOL that’s me with anything powdery (like baby powder) or incense. It smells like a church. There’s one very niche house who made a scent that’s literally the smell of a church and I hate it so much
I feel you on that!! Thankfully the incense note just adds depth and a slightly toasted marshmallow smell to mashumaro, other than that you would never guess incense is in the fragrance!
It is love hate for sure. They use tons of real ambergris which is certainly batch depended as a natural ingredient! It is a violent green/marine fragrance that ages beautifully.
@@universalfragrance as for the creed rant don’t even get me started lol . I tried a sample of that new creed absolute 🙃 , come on .. lasted about 35mins and was gone . They’re officially dead to me .
Yeah man, years of corrupt corporate ownership riding the family name has really sent them downhill. Sad because I loved Creed in the 90's and early 2000's. Thats why I love Bond no.9 so much, they have been independently owned from the start and remained that way. Even though they are large now they are luxury, niche and a true Indy house as Laurice has full control over every decision for better or worse!
Have not heard from you in a while, hope you have been well! I really think you would enjoy Dubai Gold and Indigo but it is absolutely worth getting samples or decants of them first. Gold is absolutely stunning especially on skin while Indigo is a very exotic take on a blue fragrance with masculine base notes/unique florals and fruits at the top. Can't wait to do a top 5 for summer with Dubai Indigo and my others!
Thats excellent news for you!!! I am in a very rural area so between these stupid high gas prices and the drive time it's cheaper for me to order everything online since I am hours away from any of those stores 😂
Hello, could you give me your top 2 best gourmand frags from this house ? I’m thinking of getting my hands on some. Could you recommend two for me. Your top 2 sweet frags from Bond.
I liked Amethyst, but most of BN9 I just didn't like. Most are not worth the prices in my estimation. I tried more than 25 of them, and enjoyed 3 or 4.
Yeah, I said that in the video about their prices. Thankfully they are not counterfeited often and you can pick them up well below retail like Amouage and other fragrances 😉. They may be like ARGOS then, just not for you. Kevin Samuels (RIP) was certainly not wrong, it is a secret weapon house that was his most complimented and it is also easily my most complimented house I own over Xerjoff, Amouage, Orto parisi, Boadicea etc. They must be doing something right and I appreciate them being privately owned instead of selling out to larger corporate overlords like multiple other "niche" companies. They truly have full control over everything.
Exactly right 😂...people read one form or watch a video and think every fragrance now has tons of Iso E super or ambroxan then say everything has "fixatives" or is synthetic. Or if they just do not like a certain house they go to that as a default lol. It was interesting meeting Laurice and hearing how she tries to be between 60-70% raw natural materials in her fragrance compositions, which is actually incredible. Roja Dove does an entire video on this speaking that most common designer fragrances are only 10-15% natural raw materials while he aims for 80-85% natural raw materials in his fragrances. Somethings have to be changed into acetates such as grapefruit oil as 100% natural grapefruit oil can be toxic to skin and cause reactions. With that said, even though I prefer my fragrances to be mostly natural, synthetics and high-quality aroma chemicals are very important to all perfumery now as the rules change on what can be used as natural ingredients.
Appreciate it!! Roja Dove has a ton of cool stuff on his TH-cam channel going into detail about all sorts of fragrance related nuances. Great info from him
I am part of the New Haarlem cult lol Great collection Dale! Your gf must be happy to get free reign of all these LOL

Riverside Drive has always been my favorite. I also love the signature scent.
We certainly share the same taste!! Those two are classics in my book
Thanks for sharing,
Keen on Wall Street soon as hear it’s not for everyone (I’m listening )

I have four out of your seven. I need to try Dubai Gold and the Dubai Indigo before I buy them

New Haarlem for sure then Coney Island or So New York/Greenwich Village. Coney Island is the most fun while So New York is the most chocolate forward.

What does smelling synthetic even mean?! I feel like people just throw that term out, or repeat things they heard with misguided confidence 😂
