    Simple football nothing too complicated however Zidane can motivate his players, they are ready to die for him that is for me most valuable trait in Zizou. But regardless for me Zidane has to improve. Because Ronaldo Ramos Modric won't be there forever. Perez needs to supply Zizou with good players and he will do the rest.

    My man, first of all, congrats on the video. In my opinion, Zidane is a great mental manager. He can put every player focused on the team. But, in terms of tactic, he isn't that great (at least in Real Madrid). Everything that you said was correct, but what you showed in the video doesn't happen in every game. A lot of the times, BBC don't care about defense. So, there are 7+1 players to defend. Which is very poor because if the opposite team includes the full-back(s) and the midfield in the construction process, there will be less RM players. Kroos, to help the team, sometimes has to run to the sides to help the 2x1 situation against Marcelo. And Modric does the same in the right side.
    I'm not even talking when Marcelo advances and forgets that he's a defender and has to recover his position.
    In terms of attack, you were right. They use to play for the wingers and then expect that their individual quality solves every problem. But when they're not inspired there are no mechanisms that surprises the opponent.
    In substitutions, he isn't the greatest. Look, for example, what he did in San Mamés, against Bilbao. He switched Modric for Lucas and he lost the midfield. He could have lost easily the game if Real didn't score in the corner kick after the equaliser. A lot of times he is very slow to change the game and to give instructions to the player to switch the way that they are playing.
    It is my opinion. Real is all about individual quality.
    But keep up the good work. Best wishes from Portugal!

    • @atp919
      @atp919 7 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      very well said, man, couldn't have agreed with you more. This year Real's major weakness has been on the defensive end. I think Zidane in some games has not read the opponent better than he should. In the game vs Valencia, he sent full court pressure, pushing the defensive line all the way up to the midfield, and in 10 min he was already losing 2-0, instead of taking a more relax approach to the game. To "smaller" clubs, he's been pushing the same approach, and the rivals always score on a fastbreak due to having that back line so forward and having to run back to the keeper side and not being organized. They are conceding too many goals, every team usually score at least a goal and that's bad managing on Zidane's and he hasnt been adjusting. Last season he was relying on Navas but he hasn't been on top level. If Real adjust defensively, they will be close to being unstoppable since their offense always goes through.

    I dont know how long back people have followed Madrid. But Zidane is doing what he played in early 2000s with greats like Roberto carlos and Salgado as left and right backs. That gave Zidane and Raul freedom on their positions. With Figo and mcman in center. Look at Zidanes famous goal against leverskusen in CL 2001. Carlos was the one who passed the ball

    • @teerificbitch
      @teerificbitch 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ankur Rawat That logic does not work as 'simple as that'. No manager believes in Attack is the best defence. Even Ferguson stated that "attacking wins you games, but defending wins you titles". No team can keep scoring 3-4 goals per game just to keep up with a leaky defence that breaks in every counter, you will never have 100% possession. So how can you say its as 'simple as that' Thats a huge joke. Even City's strikers defend more than most team's wingers of which are supposed to cover for fullbacks in defence. In the philosophy of attack, breaking opponent's play and winning back possession is crucial. The simple fact that Zidane's team was often exposed at the back says it all. Mourinho's balance at Real was built upon nothing but sheer hard work of the players to give their physical best to every game they are played. Stamina? If Inter & Porto could do it, whats Real Madrid lacking in Stamina?

    After many years (30) watching Real Madrid games, I can assert that you can see quickly the coach's hand when they sign a manager. Only Valdano (1st year), Capello (1st year), Mourinho (2nd/3rd year) and Ancelotti (1st year) were able to shape that team. 24 coachs in 30 years, and only 4 could managed to play as a real team. What about Del Bosque or Zidane? Del Bosque is a relaxed and psycological coach, knows how to handle the stars and knows how Real Madrid works as a club. Zidane looks like the same kind of coach. Buy the better players and try to keep calm in the looker room. No more secrets. No big tactical work, only talent in big moments.
    So, not worth a try to analyze how Real Madrid play, they only put the ball in the back of the net when they needed. They won 3 Champions League in 5 years (Galacticos era) with 4 diferent coachs in that period!! and won 2 Champions with 2 coachs signed in December with only 2-3 months to work with the team!!! (Zidane and Del Bosque). So, you can't expect a comprehensive analysis of the RM game. They simply play and win de UCL. No matter if they play counter-attack or not, press high or set in the back (they're more confortable settled in the back, for sure, because they can't press high without tactical work behind as Mourinho played sometimes with their teams).
    They can lose against Barcelona 2-6, 0-4- 5-0. They don't care in long term about these defeats, they always managed to come back and win again, somehow. So, why think in it, it's simply Real Madrid.

    • @jameswalker6864
      @jameswalker6864 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Zidane is a tactical genius. Zidane's Real Madrid played a highly effective football. You are terribly underrating him here. Zidane is the only manager in football history to win 3 consecutive Champions League finals. Guardiola never managed to win 3 Champions Leagues in his whole career. Zidane did it in 3 years. Zidane >>> Guardiola. Guardiola is a great coach, no doubt about it. But he is usually a bit overrated. Guardiola won the Champions League twice because he had arguably the best team ever. Period. No tactical analysis is needed when you have Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Eto'o, Henry, etc. Without Messi and Barça he couldn't win the Champions League and he has only proved himself in giant teams never in a small team. Jupp Heynckess won the Bundesliga and Champions League with Bayern Munich in 2013. Guardiola took the same team the next year and was utterly unable to win the Champions League with Bayern. Heynckess >> Guardiola.

    Zidanes game is understood by many coaches but the problem is the players making difference. For instance any cross from low or lightly high will meet players head in the box because first of all morata, ronaldo, benz, and bale are strong & tall. Additionally their central midfielder like modric stays on edge of the box that means he is capable to take shoots or play a thru pass to the attackers already inside the box.. this is why they scored in almost every single game.. if anyone need to stop they need to control their fullbacks by doing so their game will be impacted and opponents no.9 should be running down the wide channels so some center attacking mid becomes a striker as soon as the cross or pass gets in reals inbox.. who is capable to do this? Barca definitely no, bayern at times did and scored in first leg from vidals head but it is quite difficult...

    Real has many star players and it seems that all that zidane did is like a tactic of someone playing PES.
    In other words, Zidane took a lot of time improving teamwork, what the previous galacticos (beckham, zidane, makelele, ronaldo) lacked.
    This madrid is better.

If they had Tottenham at White Hart Lane in the FA Cup they'd lose but at Wembley, with the displays from Tottenham so far this season, I think it's Chelsea's to win and they'll meet Man City In the final. Two manufactured plastic teams - this is what is wrong with football today - two formerly shit clubs are suddenly big ones because wasteful individuals want to pour billions into them.

    To be honest, it's not that Zidane was excellent tactically, but that he was clever enough not to tinker with a successful formula that was already there (Mourinho + Ancelotti). Rather than to say he is a great manager tactically for having won the UCL, you should say he's a great manager by virtue of doing little wrong. He managed to keep egos in check for as long as possible, and did not impose much new tactics to their gameplay.

    • @Whocares0009
      @Whocares0009 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bullshit i dont know how this narrative got over that he is not great coach. Have you watched how he destroyed Sevilla 3-0 with his pressing. For first year he made Real madrid the most threatening team to play against. In his first season when he joined as a manager (in middle of season) Real madrid was 10 points behind Barcelona, at the end of the season we lost by only 1 point to them. Second season he won la liga. It was his only 3rd season that was bad. He made very good system of quick 1-2 passes and he had one of the best counterattacks. It was one of the only teams which can do both possesion holding and could counterattack fluently.
      In Supercup second leg vs Barcelona Real Madrid had more possesion than them. It has never happened to Barcelona. Even Pique said in interview this is first time he felt Real madrid were really superior to them after 1st Superleg where RM beats them by 3-1. They were stealing goals from opponents by pressing so hard and staying organized and after staeling converting into goals in seconds. His subsitutes were always masterclass. Morata, James, Pepe, Asensio, Isco, Vasques everyone was in their form of life ang giving 100%. His training methods were pretty good so players do not get injured often except Gareth Bale. He managed the squad so well where James was not even in the bench. It is never easy to rotate. He basically played half of la liga matches in 2016 with the mixture of A+B team.

    In my opinion the strongest weapon in Real's arsenal in terms of attack is ability to play long. Many players in Real's line-up (Kroos,Modric, Isco, Ramos, Marcelo, Carjaval etc) can play long balls. Real is able to widen the pitch to tire their opponents and cross the ball inside (Ronaldo, Ramos, Pepe and Bale are great on air) or make immensely fast counter-attacks.
    Another thing is (as shown in the video) fluidity of Real's front three. They can change their formation easily. Real's front three has clinical finishers, especially Ronalo. Whenever Ronaldo is in the box with ball, it is almost a guaranteed goal or a really dangerous threat. This, coupled with long shot ability of Real, makes the team dangerous.

But in some other matches it goes Barca's way it's all just bad ref performances I really don't think clubs with that type of quality do match fixing especially with their players. One thing is Barcelona fans always look for the smallest reasons to criticize Madrid. Just to make themselves feel better .Madrid fans do too but not as often. The barca fans are the most irrespectable fans on earth remember what they threw at figo.but how often do Madrid fans comment on your players tax fraud stuff.

      enrique took over a team which was performing and was full with confidence, zidane took over a madrid team whose defence was a complete mess, if it was the other way round and enrique was coach at real u would be saying how shit he is just because he is in real, u dont deserve to call yourself a football fan u r a disgrace to football so please f**k off and watch cartoons

      jonh 866 what are you talking about?Lucho failed everywhere except celta and like I said at Barca he has won it all.Not because hes a great manager but because the front 3 are so good.His strategy is give the ball to the msn and let them do the rest.Zidane isnt a great manager either ,idk why youre so mad?

    Most of football fans will surely agree that the real strength of real madrid is not their strikers but their defenders . Both Marcelo and Carvajal are extremely talented, skilled, know how to score goals and most of all know how to cross the ball in the D-area. I mean look at marcelo ? name me a better skilled LB ? That guy has skills half of the strikers dont have . He runs past 4 bayern defenders in the '105th' minute of the game . where comes all this stamina from ? Benzema and ronaldo are very lucky to get service from them , not to overlook their poacher nature in front of goal

  • @thefourthchairman4151
    @thefourthchairman4151 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    of course Zidane is a great manager
    appreciate your work here, but being a great manager is not only about how he deploys his strategies
    This team consist of superstars with their each own ego, the board and the fans demanding success year in year out
    I mean, Zidane inherited a collapsing Madrid back then and Zidane had a 0 experience of being head coach before
    To see what he has achieved with Madrid today, just unbelievable, especially if you remember he only made 1 incoming transfer this far

  • @Yuri-sd6gm

    Real Madrid has 2 worldclass wing-backs (Carvajal and Marcelo), 2 worldclass playmakers (Kroos and Modric), and 3 worldclass strikers (Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema) who are strong not only in the ground but in the air (the 3 are tall and good headers). So, they basically switch passes until it opens a space to cross to them. Not to talk about Ramos monster heading in corners and free kicks. So, Real Madrid is basically the best team in the world. Almost unbeatable in the wings, in the midfield, in the striking and in free kicks. The only way to win them is by perfect counter-attack with a fast player, like Sergi Roberto did in the last Clássico, or with long shots like Rakitic did as well. And of course you'll need a striker who doesn't fail often, like Messi, who scored 2 goals in his 2 chances. Real Madrid in my opinion is the perfect team. Juventus will have great trouble in the UCL final. Of course, 1 game, everything can happen, a counter-attack (as I said is the only way to win Madrid) but if things develop naturally, Real Madrid will dominate the game.

      I didn't say that. I said it's extremely difficult to beat Real Madrid, not Juve. Although Juve is also a tough team to beat, R.Madrid is the best in the world.
