Personally, I would work in McDonald's if I had no food. If I was married to someone working in McDonald's we would manage. It's not everybody's destiny to find a career path or a passion or to be financially fortunate. For some its about the journey! I've lived all over the world. I've met awesome people. Never got much by way of handouts from my parents but if I needed I could ask. I didn't! We have invested a lot in hiding our souls! If you want neither you settle for a modest living. Creativity--is it a birthright? Is it learnt? Is it attained through plagiarism? Can it be received with the help of ayahuasca, dimethyltryptamine or amanita muscaria? Most importantly is it attained via a childhood trauma? (or as I like to refer to it as 'the spark of life') I'm a creative person and I sense most or all are too! 'Luck' is the ingredient the successful will behave in an obtuse manner towards at its very mention. The game gets crazy sometimes is all. Abstinence is just one of many options!
You are the best bro!! Keep going and follow your dreams.... my dream is to become an archeologist but i came under pressure and studied for neet (med school entrance in india). I passed and got a good score. I had 3 months before joining a good med school . But in those 3 months i thought a lot and decided being a doctor is not for me. My true love and passion is ancient history. Its like the love of my life. So i brought my family together one day and explained to them . They were not so understanding at first like all indian parents are. I told them that ultimately it is my happiness. I told them being a doctor is like being stuck in a souleless and mundane marriage. They understood. So i am taking a one year break and joining majors in history next year. Hopefully i can travel as much as you did. Lots of love from india!!
Indian parents are not understanding because they care about us a lot and once they understand what real caring is they slowly become the best version of themselves 🙏♥️

Just one quick suggestion with all respect. Since you have gotten this far with your college studies, I think you should complete the last step and obtain a degree (if it is still possible). Afterwards you can go back to following your passion. I mean, having a college degree will make things more easier for you, whatever you are planning to do afterwards.
Thank you for that video. I'm now on my second gap year after school, I'm 18 and feel like I came up with the idea of what I want to do based on things that I tried. And it turned out that I enjoyed making videos for my friends and writing posts about social problems and my experience during deep self-research. I learned how to write a script, edit, draw simple cartoons and delegate some things to other people (I have so much more to learn though, but taking into account that I tried to cut a video for the first time a year ago, it feels like a lot) And I feel like I have no need to go to university, especially because It's quite expensive for my family. But I have no idea how to start. I have no camera (I know that you ideas and skills are much more important) and I have no idea how to earn money online. So, it feels like I know what I want. but not good enough to start

If you just have your thesis left before graduation, I suggest you write a thesis and graduate. Finishing something that you have started like your college education is a good indication of what you will do in the future as well. Dropping out with just your thesis left is really too bad in my opinion. It makes me very sad to hear this.
You were Portuguese stud that's why you got into iit, so easily. Our 18yr olds have to sit through a heck of a entrance exam for 1000 seats, even dropping few yrs to get into the mecca for indian engineers.
I am no expert in video making and travelling. But as an avid viewer and compulsive subscriber, I can say that successful vloggers/ film makers create a niche for themselves like Bald and Bankrupt and Harald Balder who show viewers that others don't- daily lives of the common man, routine conversations with normal people, street food, daily markets. The road less taken.

Totally respect your decision to leave computer science and go into film. IT is not a guarantee of a good salary. In fact IT professionals are often the 1st laid off when companies need to save money. Jobs are often outsourced and the industry is constantly growing like the branches on a tree. You really need to pick one and hope it works out.
