You can get as warm as you want if you get doomfire and emperor on the field at the same time. Your opponent special summon cook and if lose battle against doomfire cook
I like that they didn't go the easy way and just gave them a floodgate or omninegate boss monster, they updated the playstyle of the deck in a cool way

Interesting to note: Volcanic's as noted don't have many trap cards currently printed. BUT they do have 4 anime only trap cards as well as some spell cards. PLUS the next Animation Chronicle is on the horizon. Just saying they are likely to never have a better chance to get those cards printed, so we could get another wave of Volcanic support shortly after this one.

Fire Ejection is a Foolish Burial for Pyro-type monsters should more of those come out. But a thing that's kind of cool with Volcanic Emperor is that it gives Lavals an actual win condition outside of drawing Rekindling
I'm sure the ishizu cards will be played in the deck, they're generically useful to use for GY effects, a rank 4 engine, etc. It'll give them some sort of response and interaction with their opponents boards
I (and someone on TH-cam) kind of already did that back in November (Ishizu Volcanics, anyway), and it was pretty nutty. Then the Ishizu cards got limited, so now they're just a small possible engine in the deck.
Seems like a pretty obvious eldlich splash to me. Doesn't use your normal summon, benefits off of the blaze accelerators, PLUS they both benefit from floodgates like skill drain. Not to mention that the current weakness of eldlich is time rules, since it's a control deck that pays life points. Volcanics put time rules in your favour.
One thing about that battle quick play spell: it doesn't target, and it can either non-target bounce the defending monster, or non-target destroy both. Also, if I understand correctly, this will then cause a battle replay, so you can go to battle with this in hand, attack your opponent's boss monster, use this to non-target bounce it, then continue attacking with that monster somewhere else? Funny thing is that Corrupted Gem of Rebellion Snake Eye can target your own monsters, so it is bad against but good in Vaylantz maybe?
I love that they basically managed to cover all their bases with this wave of support. The cards build on the Volcanics' existing playstyle, while giving them good basic support to increase their consistency. I don't even play them, but I'm so happy Payne96 can finally rest easy lol
With 5 banished Pyro monsters, 3 more in the GY, and a Blaze Accelerator and Emperor in hand, you can banish 3 for the summon, deal 4000 burn, activate Accelerator, wait for Emperor to go to the GY, then banish the Accelerator to summon Emperor again, dealing 4000 more burn.
I would argue about the viability of scattershot, send 1 with fire ejection, deal 1500, and it gives you an instant 3 pyros to banish for emperor, dealing another 1500 with the greatest of ease. I swear someone at konami smacked around the others in R&D with scattershot because Inferno and Volcanic Blaze are so specifically targeted against Scattershot. The inferno only shuffles back 2, the Blaze accelerator only targets 1's
Scattershot has to be sent by a Blaze Accelerator. honestly my problem with this is that this is built more around a banish playstyle instead of improving volcanics graveyard centric play. you can't recover any of the banished accelerators in archetype, and now your banishing pyro's for the Emperor? fire ejection i do think is good though, because you can drop in shell or emperor.
@@DarkCT why do you need that much recursion in a deck that aims to kill on turn 2. Scattershot is still viable with that 1500 burn alone. And now you had a ton of way to search Blaze accelator card on turn 1. You can even use scattershot turn 1 by destroying the token, by dumping it with BA reload field effect if you accidentally draw scattershot, or use reload gy effect. Turn 1 you can realistically get more at least 4000 burn without additional step if you are not banishing other pyro card.
@@GranMaj 4k damage sounds impressive... except it being burn aside nowadays you can do that with a number of decks, some of whom have built in recursion or other defensive edges, and don't have to sacrifice and one of the two things they are known for to do it. it's not that I don't like the new Volcanics, it's that this feels more like an entirely different playstyle. they are putting a lot around emperor resolving burn and stacking up pyro banishes, but in a deck that was better known for being able to..well, Reload.
How much damage can be done turn 1 in a “normal” set up? It could be interesting if it gets your opponent so low that the big guy + scattershot pretty much wins the game
The easy best case-scenario is Trooper with a Blaze Accelerator Reload in hand to discard. Between the 1500 from Scattershot, 500 from the Bomb Token, and 500 from the Trap, that gives your opponent 10 Summons to play through the board and destroy Emperor.
Don't listen to the other guy. If you play a Purrely package you can get a level 1 for Relinquished Anima, who unlocks Greater Inari Fire by being a Spellcaster. With that setup, the absolute max is 7800 damage in one turn. An FTK because even if they have a board breaker or two, they don't just have to worry about the Emperor, as soon as they activate a monster effect you can trigger the new trap to kill them.
I'm pretty sure the most competitive set up you will see, assuming people will play this in Runick, will be Volcanic Trooper, add Volcanic BA, activate BA, send Rimfire to pop the Bomb token (500), banish Rimfire to send Emporer, banish normal BA to summon Emporer (500), and then do some Runick stuff. So you will still have 1000 burn immediately on top of a summoning tax for the opponent, on top of having Runick cards to help control.

I’m actually really excited for this. Trickstar is one of my all time favorite decks, and tbh is just seems like a better version of that. I’m definetly taking this to a few premier events
Magicians souls comes to mind. Sending the spells if needed for a draw 1 or 2 alongside a few small link plays. Since basically a lot of the effects can be used in the graveyard it might be interesting to try there.

This is all pretty good support. Even Fire Ejection, the arguably worst card in the batch, is still somewhat useful, because it helps you set up your graveyard. You can send Rimfire to the grave to set up Shell while thinning your deck more or send Emperor for 800 burn and setting him up to be summoned later since Emperor can be summoned from the hand or graveyard with its effect.
I feel they need a field spell that protects them. Similar to the traptrix field spell that it allows an extra summon or the protection of card effects instead of battle. Still, been awhile since I played the deck or against it.
The fact he mention Trickstars, the Volcanics are the masters of Burn Damage and looks like they are here to reclaim their throne. And Boy, Volcanic Emperor is likely going to be perhaps one of the most powerful monsters ever created in the game. I even saw Volcanic Emperor in action when watching a video of a Yugioh Pro video featuring this card. 8500 points of Damage.... On a very FIRST TURN. Not even Pre errata Chaos Emperor Dragon was capable of achieving such a feat. Volcanic Emperor had the potential to become beyond legendary. Even an Egyptian God Card or any it’s counterparts would tremble in fear at the sight of this blazing behemoth.
12:53 them's fightin words! we're 100% still playing scattershot. still does everything we want it to here: raigeki enemy board, do burn damage, and fill grave for emperor shenanigans. not to mention drawing scattershot becomes much better because rimfire can put reload face-up straight from deck, so i don't think that the argument of scattershot being garnets holds up, at least not anymore.
This wave looks like it'd make it playable in the current game environment at the very least. And it helps fill up the main deck (going from like 4-6 playable cards to 10+ playable cards). There's also using Axel's manga Planetary boss, The Blazing Mars which has decent synergy with this stuff.
So. Rocket + Trooper. NS Rocket -> add Volcanic BlAcc and activate it > ss Trooper to search Emperor > send rimfire to ss token > Rimfire eff to place reload on field > Discard Emperor with reload to draw > Link Trooper + Rocket for I:P Masquerena. Now either 1- Banish Rocket, Trooper and Rimfire for Emperor and do 1500 and search other trap. 2- Banish vanilla BlAcc and have 2 disruptions.

that spell counter xyz could be good in endymion if it actually gained counters by its own effects, since you could do something like add instant fusion for winda, etc, but the fact that it doesnt single handedly ruins it.

Then when that isn't enough, they get a link one that adds the field spell

That corrupted snake eye card is proof that they are trying SO HARD to make crystal beasts playable without actually giving them playable monsters.

1- Banish Rocket, Trooper and Rimfire for Emperor and do 1500 and search other trap.
2- Banish vanilla BlAcc and have 2 disruptions.

that spell counter xyz could be good in endymion if it actually gained counters by its own effects, since you could do something like add instant fusion for winda, etc, but the fact that it doesnt single handedly ruins it.
