The Para Ordnance frame was extremely popular in the Philippines, hence why Rock Island Armory’s double stack 1911s are Para pattern rather than Staccato/2011 pattern.
i think at one point in time during prohibition in America there was a notorious gangster named Baby Face Nelson whos signature weapon was a full auto 1911 with a fucking thompson grip instead of the inverted mag grip
Funnily enough, the M1911 was adopted into service by the US military because they found their .30 cal SAA revolvers did not have enough stopping power to take out a charging Filipino Moro rebel, with many instances of Marines magdumping an SAA into a Moro without him going down. The .45 was considered enough stopping power to take down a coked up Filipino, so the US adopted the 1911. The idea of Filipinos taking the 1911, which was designed to kill Filipinos, and turning it into an automatic weapon, is ironic.
Automatic 1911... Really rare to see though... (Although some 1911 customization really have select fire capabilities in even earlier decades, but really exotic rare to see)
Only rare gun that are the Lost Media Guns like that AWS 1911 Machine Pistol, and you can't even find them unless you're lucky one to find the most rarest lost media guns out there.
This is one of those guns i'd like to get my hands on purely for the idea of owning one. Imagine showing off your museum piece and its a full-auto beauty of a 1911 variant.
Even when gun ownership resurged after Marcos, all of the laws pertaining restrictions on gun ownership remained, specifically 1 short & 1 long firearm limit, restrictions on caliber greater than 9mm except revolver cartridges. Furthermore, the US commonwealth-era Act No. 2711, which basically granted limited sovereignty to the Philippines, stated that you have to get the Philippine president to sign your gun license/permit application until 2013 when the current gun law superseded the firearm sections of Act No. 2711. It also said nothing of full-auto firearms which allowed civilians to own them until 2013. With so much red tape and ineffective implementation of gun laws, most gun owners then are actually illegal, and therefore cannot purchase this firearm, which I believe really led to it's demise, along with almost the entire Philippine defense industry, and not just firearms in general.
Not really, the AWS 1911 failed even at the technical level as the recoil was considered uncontrollable and technical failings. And the lack of buyers resulted in the closure of AWS long before the 1911 reached the wider market.
I'm a Philippine guy and wala ako kaalam alam na may machine pistol ang Philippines. Ang first na alam ko na machine pistol is galing sa Austria-Hungary and it's 111 years ago.
Funnily enough. The Elisco tool company m16s was not the one my uncle had in sevice. He had the original m16 as i saw the US colt pattern. I dunno how he got the weqpon from the armoury.
trust phantom forces to have every gun that existed...
Exept the colt phyton .357

you are right, they were custom made by a gunsmith
both him and john dillinger used the lebman machine pistols in .38 super
it's odd that the grip wasn't included in cod vanguard
At least the m1911 has a scope in vanguard

Fucking christ what a horrible history, amazing that they turned that shit around though. Love from Puerto Rico.
Wasn't a SAA it was the new army colt in 38. they tested several other pieces to the 1911 before they found that it killed cows without stoppages
.45 Auto is Gods caliber lmao. Really fked up history tho, but it’s pretty cool that the Filipino’s made a full auto one 😂
@@scorpionjaxxer339 ironic too since the Philippines was where we decided we needed 45

Damn, the AWS 1911 could had so much potential, sad that due to technical limitations and financial challenges, it had to stop production.
Yeah, the funding... it's always the funding...
@@StupidBlyatfunding and Filipino don't go well together
I remember a fictional 1911 made machine pistol in Saints Row 2 called Kobra, instead of a grip, it had a laser sight
that looks like some serious badass devil may cry shit, we really need to revive this weapon
Wow I never knew this existed and I like 1911's but this was cool thank you.
