The potential downside is that yes, demand is enormous now but it has to stay that high while new stuff comes out and takes away the focus. Probably with enough time stuff will still go up but it'll take a lot longer with Scarlet and Violet stuff IMO. To a point where it's more interesting, funand profitable to flip singles
For sure! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. As a general theme, I’ve been spending a lot of time trying to figure out how to navigate the current demand and what it means for the long-term of the hobby. In this video, I make a positive case for it and really believe the points I made. But, I can’t ignore that this level of demand is unprecedented and creates a lot of risk too. It’s certainly an interesting time!! Thanks for watching 🙌
@@tcgbuyersclub exactly. Demand and supply are both unprecedented. Who blinks first? 👀 I enjoy watching but I find myself needing to add the 'but what if'. The state were in now is so different to before, it's difficult to make predictions based off the past. Even the SWSH rise feels unnatural to me but hey, can't argue with the numbers. Just got to watch them and see both sides. Keep up the content mate. Ace production value 👍
I gotta respect the younger generation for their love of Pokémon. As kids, we didn't have the variety available today. We eagerly awaited each new generation, but kids now have the privilege of going back and playing retro Pokémon games from their parents' childhood. Learning over 1,000 Pokémon must be a lot to take in when they aren't being introduced gradually throughout your entire childhood.
That’s such a good point! I had it so easy with the first 150 (I refuse to accept that Mew was actually available in Gen 1 😂) plus another 100 (or so? I forget) in Gen 2. Today, I still don’t know soooo many Pokemon and am always learning something new 😊 I hope the absolutely enormous number doesn’t make it harder for them to love Pokemon as long as we have 😅 Thanks for watching and for the comment bud!!
We as kids had the TV show on during the daytime. It fed us engagement daily. Today kids have TH-cam and binge watching. It’ll be interesting how that changes the attachment to an IP. I believe a big part of the success for our generation to be connected was the games and tv show. I’m curious if it’s strong enough with the new games and shows.
This is a great point - there’s certainly no guarantee the engagement from children today translates into the same kind of adult fandom as my generation saw. And the changes in media distribution are important! There was a time in western culture when everyone watched the same shows on the same handful of channels. And listened to the same music from the same handful of radio stations. The limited sources of media contributed to enormous cultural trends. Whereas today’s utter diversity of options via the internet reduces the focus on any one IP, artist, show, etc. I’ll be thinking about this more - thanks for providing this input! 🙇♂️
The bulk really sucks, it’s true 😩 Japanese booster boxes have a bit of a better balance in my opinion: you have less bulk for the hits you get. But it’s a problem either way 😭
It's not the death of Pokemon because they're only (mostly) printing what's being ordered. Pokemon is making their money. It's the stores ordering too much that are going to go out of business. And people always move on to the next set.

Pretty good vids mate! Please Post more of this awesome content!
Thank you, I will! I’m working on my next video as I type this 😅
Thanks for watching!! 🙏
For me this is where DC HRO have an interesting USP, in that each card is numbered so adds another layer of value.
I’m not familiar with DC HRO - what game is it? And thank you for watching 🙌
@@tcgbuyersclub it's actually not a game but trading cards for DC - I'll be posting some content about it soon if you are interested

151 sealed products are gonna go way up when they stop selling regularly
I sure think so 😊 I’ve got a decent number of sealed Japanese boxes of 151 😊
This is the key. Staack 151 and you'll be ok
The value in Japanese 151 keeps getting better and better too 👀 The current prices are amazing!!
Thanks for watching 😊
I just keep thinking about all that bulk. What a waste. Instead they should increase pull rates on mid tier cards. No one wants bulk.
The bulk really sucks, it’s true 😩 Japanese booster boxes have a bit of a better balance in my opinion: you have less bulk for the hits you get.

Totally agree, the supply has to meet the demand, I would be more worried if the amount being printed went down by a similar amount.
This guy gets it 🙇♂️ Thanks for watching!!
Pokemon investing is just a matter of time the longer you hold the less of sealed product there is, even with high print runs
I couldn’t agree more 😊 Thanks for watching and for the comment!
Does that number include to recent surge of production in the simplified Chinese market?
Great question and I don’t know for sure. My understanding is it is global production, including all language variants!
Thanks for watching 😊

Man, my wallet feels like it bought at least 1 billion of those cards last year, haha.
LOL! Going after master sets will do that to ya 😉 Thanks for watching and for all the support 🙏
@@tcgbuyersclub 🤣🤣🤣
let's be real, 62.8 billion of this is all bulk.
Absolutely 💯. There’s a huge difference between the total number of cards printed and the number of actual chase cards.
Sub 716 👋🏻
Thanks so much for the support 😊
