    Nice video. I do a similar techinique to the first except I create an extra slice left and right of the bit cut out and then stretch them together to make sure i don't lose the ambient noise. This can be helpful if the cut you makes affects the sound.

    Really nice and useful video Jay, but it don't sound to me like you are using audio from the track - sounds like a mic in the room - and it would sound sooooo much better if we could appreciate the playing. Mix the mic and track signals for the video audio (like I do in my TH-cam vids!) Apologies if I got it wrong!

    Very helpful advice Jay. It's also caused by wound strings, a finger tip going along the windings on a wound string produce a squeak. Same method to edit them out whatever the cause. Only problem can be if too much is taken it can effect the timing? BTW a student once asked me how to make that sound.....

      No, Pro Tools but can be done in any DAW.
