Very helpful...thanks for sharing.
Very well explained, look forward to the next one. I'll go and check my stick out now. Cheers
The I’d pitch that blue tungsten. Thoriated is the red tungsten. 2% radioactive which helps with the flow of voltage and stays constant with the weld arc. And thoriated tungsten keeps its shape and doesn’t pick up contamination like the Lanthanated blue tungsten. Are you using more of a cleaner stainless like 316L or 304L with less carbon steel and more nickel. I have the Lincoln TIG 200 in my shop and I love this machine. Do you do any #4 grinding 32RA on any of your projects for sanitary conditions? Also running a 120-180 grit square block lightly over your weld joints would relieve a lot of stress and the joints would be less likely to crack out do to vibration. I subscribed to your channel. Your doing great work. Glad to see young people getting into the welding fabrication trade. Great career and opportunities.
I like the lanthanated tungsten but I also use the layzer tungsten, don’t see a huge difference between those two and the 2% thoriated. I mainly deal with 304 and 321 although I want to try out some 316. The tig 200 is a great machine just think it should have more settings for the price, my next machine will be an everlast since they have all the settings you could want for 1/2 of the price. Not sure what you mean about the #4 grinding. I prep all my pipe on a belt sander for flatness, deburr, wire brush, and acetone wipe. I’m not really worried about stress cracks with the penetration I get and it’s all purged. I really appreciate the subscription. Check out my instagram account and shoot me a message i’d love to talk more and exchange info!
Thank you good videos
great insight thanks well explained - For stainless do you need pure Argon or can you get away with 15 to 5%%co2- argon mixes?
Thank you. I would definitely pick up some pure argon.
