Saw you on the professor's channel recently, and I really appreciate the way you narrate the deck tech and games. Makes it easier to understand from someone who has never played constructed much
33:52 - Here you could Float mana with Saga, get Sol Ring, have 7 mana (3 of which is white), hand and cast Lurrus (Lodestone makes it so zero mana floating), recast Lotus from grave, and cast Time Walk. Even if you don't hit on the extra turn, Lurrus's lifelink keeps you alive if they attack with both (trade with Lodestone).
I thought I saw the same line. The turn after you drop Lurrus and cast Time Walk you have the mana to repeal a threat, waste the Academy and go from there maybe?
20:30 this feels like a mistake here because you say it right after, you're shadow realmed by wasteland. You could keep land in hand, next turn Lavinia, then I think you actually win this game
I feel like these lurrus control decks really want some preordains, no? I'm kinda not a fan of just hoping that you draw the right cards at the right time, I think a reactive deck like this would be better off with some more card selection.
I'm in m5g2 and I don't think you've cut lavinia once, which is surprising to me. I know she's a powerful card and one of the main reasons to play the deck, but when you're playing against strategies that she doesn't disrupt well, it seems like something you could trim. Specifically, the reanimator matchup seems like a bad spot for her since they presumably play a reasonable number of lands and only need to get to 1 mana noncreature spells. Against dredge she's the lock piece that makes your hatepiece stick but overall seems replaceable if you're running low on deck slots. Shops also seems pretty mid for her when they're on a creature-based strategy. She stops moxen (until they hit a sphere), but doesn't stop creatures at all. Unless you turn-1'd her, I don't think she would have impacted your opponent's draw during that matchup except as a grizzly bear that gets bounced by karakas.
To your point about this deck not really having a win button, I was MUCH more impressed by the Bowmasters deck than this one. DT Timetwister Bowmasters is at least a package of broken you can go. Wholly agree this is much too fair, not impressed by this one. At least BUG has something busted it can do
Both Vintage and Legacy have been so cool lately. Super healthy across the board and loads of viable strategies. Tons of fun.
Yeah both formats are great!
Sometimes BoshNRoll just Styx it to us with these titles.
Ba dum tiss 🥁
Thank God Todd in the Shadows did a video on Styx with that line from Renegade in it or I'd have never picked up on that.
He has too much time on his hands coming up with these.

Thanks! Glad you found me :)
Good job on day 1 kinda that was really dominating.
Straight to the dog food factory ….almost fell off the treadmill lmao

I think you dropped Lurrus lines at some point by thinking it cost double white to put in hand

Congrats taking 1st place in vintage swiss rounds and 12th in legacy. Good luck to the top 8 today.
Bosh, I love these videos, but they’ve been so short this week! We’re due for a good old 2 hour bant control video or something like that!
I have a massive testing session coming out next week where Pokemoki and I just run the same control matchup over and over. :)
God. I love vintage content!
I literally this week decided to get into vintage and this is the deck I chose. Hoping for a good league and analysis!!!
Can I ask why no black mox? And why sol ring instead of mana crypt?
Mox Jet IS in the deck. The one missing is Emerald.
Is there a home for mainboard Lavinia in Uro Soup in legacy? Would love to see her oppressing in multiple formats.
I gotta start using “roflstomped”
6:30 what is the upside of getting the lurrus in your hand right away by sacrificing lotus? Thanks for the answer
That you can play lurris and have black lotuses forever
There's probably no upside other than playing around removal, but now playing into discard.
Straight to the dog food factory just ended me, and I had to explain to my coworkers why I laughed so hard just now 😂

Now do one about Come Sail Away

Totally agree. I’d play 62 to get some Preo’s in here
Hello!
Hello!
This matchup isn’t about grinding just stuffing 😳
Dropping general life advice
BnR is busy playing at eternal weekend right now we can type whatever we want in the comments
DO YOU KNOW THE INTERNET EXISTS? 👀

Too much time on your hands, Bosh.
