That was the most absurd vintage cube deck I've ever seen in my life.

Same, super entertaining! The draft part was my favorite. One broken card after another. 👌
The only other I can think of that's close is when he got dream halls, breach, brain freeze, LED, reanimate, imp seal, archon of cruelty, thassas oracle, entomb, griselbrand, atraxa, and some other crazy stuff and 6-0d the draft. Was a few months back.

@@jacobarnoldmusic That was a sweet deck, but I think this one was a notch above. The absurd amount of power plus all the draw 7s just made it super consistent. Turn 2-4 kills everygame and doing so consistently is pretty ridiculous.
The worst thig about drafts like this is that they end so fast.

He’s explaining how they’re the best cards to first pick. A late pick Black Lotus will probably be better in more decks than Time Walk. Drafting all three is insane anyway.

The best thing about first picking Time Walk is that you can follow it up with other spells to complement it like Ancestral Recall, Sol Ring and Black Lotus! :D
LSV is out here doing bad math to get us to comment that the average turn is 3.1666 not 3.8 and get that algorithm working on his favor. This man just out played all his viewers.

This deck was so good LSV debated including displacer kitten and it won 90% of his games
I love how "does this deck 3-0?" was never the question. instantly jumped to "can we average a turn 3 win?"
You miscalculated your average kill, there were 6 games, so your average turn kill was 3.167 (3.1666continued, 19/6 whereas you calculated 19/5 for 3.8), crazy impressive especially considering THREE of those games were mulligans

Dream halls is absurd. Hey also got teferi and kitten which with any zero mana artifact goes infinite. This draft was a gift lol. I mean 15 pick Urza is hilarious.
I like how there was never a question about whether or not this deck would 6-0 in 3 rounds, just a question of how fast.
Took off the team draft ankle weights and dove right into the mtgo queues... this is an all-timer right here.

I just love how your opponents are over here playing arbor elf and accelerating into wormcoil engines and your over there like 'so anyway I started blastin' as you do the most busted shit possible with 10 different infinite combos and say "I dont even know what their playing"😂😂
It’s such a good honest dig too. I’m like “those decks are what my Cube decks look like!” Although I’m floored at how little interaction he ran into.

This is the first vintage draft I’ve seen that’s genuinely laughably good. This deck is so utterly busted and some picks like the sol ring, getting the underworld breach, or getting almost every card the deck wanted to wheel, is so absurd all I can do is laugh
This draft answers the question "What would happen if you wheeled every card you were hoping for?"

absolutely insane deck and draft! But why 19 divided by 5 for your average win? I think it was 19 divided by 6 games = average kill on turn 3,166666? Insane!

LSV i've been saying that the power 9 archetype is the most OP one in the cube but you've never listened to me and drafted a deck like that.

It probably is, but he had one a few months back that was pretty insane, I think it was reanimate with a bunch of win conditions and tutors and counters. I’d love to see those decks head to head. I’d put my money on this deck, but that deck was was really resilient.

It's not for everyone, though. You need to be One with Storm like Luis to be able to effortlessly make all the correct decisions every time. Remember this is the man who won games with a storm deck that had no win condition.

I agree. I think LSV still wins most of the time, but with practically zero interaction in his deck, I would have loved to see how he navigated against a Dauthi Voidwalker, Thalia, or some counterspells.

Peak magic. I think this supplants the Mono Black Reanimator Storm deck as the most busted I've seen you draft. Spectacular.

This definitely was a fun one, I don't remember seeing time walk, lotus, and sol ring in the same deck in vintage cube before. That pause from the monored opp in the last game makes me wonder if they had an instant piece of removal and forgot that dream halls is symmetric.
In the past sol ring has edged out lotus as the overall p1p1, not in this iteration of the cube, imo (and this cube iteration is much improved as well) Overall top cards in vintage cube now are 1. Black Lotus, 2&3.-TIE- time walk and sol ring.
In particular the Displacer Kitten + Tamiyo loops were neat. Thanks Luis!

Also this is exactly what I was saying in the last video, it's not just that the opponents are building worse decks for LSV to fight, it's actually incredible that we get to watch LSV take all the busted cards because people just let him
Apologies if you do notice that throughout the video, but on minute10, cant avoid adding that Displacer kitten+Tamiyo+Time walk seems to be infinite turns
Added: truly loved the echo of eons mulligan. I was almost hearing you say, after they went forest llanowar and you said they got to redraw, "this deck's average 7 beats most 9s", and "if I draw land I get to play it before echoing so I'm over 50% (17/33) to have mulliganed into an 8-card hand".
Also I believe Teferi, time raveler+ displacer kitten+ any 0 drop is infinite card draw!
And with sol ring infinite mana too

Wow LSV actually getting a Dream Halls is more miraculous than opening lotus/time walk + being passed sol ring
19/6... not sure why we are dividing by 5. Average win was turn 3.17, or simply turn 3. One of those turn 3 wins was on a mulligan to 5. The turn 1 LED into Echoes flashback win was great.
This might be the "free-est" Vintage cube draft I've seen in my life. That deck was insane.

@@matthewwhiteside4619Pearl and Ruby in their respective mono color decks are arguably better, yeah. Ancestral... we know that no one else in the pod had Spellseeker, and so maybe someone took Ancestral over Sol Ring because they had Snapcaster, but I think that's wrong

There should be a play until you lose format with 3-0 decks in vintage cube. We would have loved to see how many wins this bad boy would rattle off.
Oh man that reminds me of an anecdote on infinity wars tcg. I remember discussing with some dude that was HAUNTING the draft ladder with his absolutely insane >100 wins deck after him ruining a few of my runs back to back. Turned out that dude was a pro mtg player that just went there for the lulz which kinda makes sense cuz I'm pretty sure those opponents felt about as helpless as I did back then lol

okay this is the new LSV best lol. was kinda disappointed you took the iconoclast over the reservoir, i assumed reservoir would be better bc you can cast infinite spells pretty easily and it’s less annoying to cast

Your camera is in front of the storm count. Not usually a problem but it is a nice thing to see in a storm deck.
I also loved that with mainly basics a 4c deck was still so consistent. Not many splashes but still😅
