Have you tried Valerian root to the kitties? I discovered a couple of my cats behaving like the lions getting high on poop, a part of the root was above the soil, so I googled - “Valerian root is a stimulant for cats. It promotes play, reducing stress and anxiety,” says Sakura David, a veterinary consultant for CatPet. I was thinking about Suja. It doen't effect all cats though, just like catnip.

I still remember watching the part when Meg and Amy started to mournfully roar in the rain. Such an epic moment to see.
I will never forget that. It was amazing, spine-chilling and heartbreaking. It still puts a lump in my throat right now.

Loved seeing this recap of Meg's adventures, glad that she found companionship with Icarus after losing Amy. Always emotional seeing Meg & Amy footage, those roars were something else ❤
That was Meg's call to Amy to say "we be lions to the end", Amy had a fantastic life. Thanks Kevin and all the sanctuary staff for all you do.
Amy was such an adventurous gal. Seeing her made me feel both sad and peaceful. It seems when Meg lost her sister, she developed a mellow and mature temperament. This was a positive effect for her next life stage with Icarus. I think he was very happy to have Meg to live with. A guy could get used to having a pretty girl around😉
I remember when Kevin took Amy to the Vet and found that she had cancer. They didn't expect Amy to pass away as soon as she did. Kevin was away a couple weeks on vacation. When he came back, Amy's condition had deteriorated. Kevin was visiting with Amy and she passed with him sitting with her and caring for her. Amy was so attached to Kevin that she held onto life as she waited for him to return, then with him by her side, she passed away. It was a gift to Kevin also because he got to see her one last time. I always remember Amy with such fondness.
So many memories of Meg an Amy. I’m so glad Meg accepted the partnership with Icarus. The thought of her being alone for the rest of her days was unbearable for me, given the nature of Lions. Thank you for all you and your foundation do for these and other endangered species, Keven. The world needs more people like you! ❤

I took the story of Amy and Meg into my heart, and she'd tears with you at the loss of dear Amy. I continue to follow and cheer for Meg and Icky! I'm so happy they don't have to be alone. The care and never ending compassion and efforts to meet each cat's needs is awe inspiring! My hat is off to you, Kevin, and all your staff, not to mention the care and dedication of Dr. Caldwell. Kevin, this is a very sweet video. Although I did cry a bit seeing Amy again and hearing in your voice how grief stricken you were. So glad Meg and Icarus are doing well. I wish I could visit your sanctuary. I’d die happy if I could meet you and your precious animals. Thank you for everything you do to protect the magnificent wildlife of our world. The Meg and Amy roars are something I well remember. Losing her was so heartbreaking - especially again after seeing the footage at 4.37 on where she looked so happy and content and the news that Madam was feeling much much better 😥 So it was great to see the footage of her and Meg getting up to their antics - especially the porcupine bit. Oh dear Amy! So happy that Meg and Icarus have both found companionship again! And the spirit of Amy lives on :) 🦁🦁
This episode was so significant to me in particular. I was very fond of Meg and Amy together. I was really attached to Amy and cried my eyes out when she passed. It was rewarding to see her in video again. Thanks Kevin for this heartwarming edition of the Lion Whisperer.

Remember the first time I stumbled over one of your videos, a video with Meg and Amy back in the days. So much time has passed since then…We are so happy that in the meantime we were able to come by and meet your furry family in person. Unfortunately, we never got a chance to also meet Amy, but we were singing for beautiful Meg for her 20th birthday last month. It’s so amazing what you, your wonderful crew and the foundation is doing! Looking forward to our next time❤️🙏🏻🐾🦁

I miss Meg and Amy as a pair of sisters. I think because of their gentle and affectionate nature, I fell in love with lions and then Kevin's efforts with lions, Leopards, Cheetahs and Hyenas and that has extended to all animals. Thank you Kevin for changing lives, both animals and humans.

I loved Meg and Amy. It was so sad when Amy passed. Those two lions were literally rescued by Kevin when he found they were given away from the lion park that he was working at. He was determined Ed to get those lions back to safety and he did, thank God. There’s a special bond there Kevin has with them. Wonderful to see. ❤❤

This is a very nice short but sweet recap of so many of the experiences that we have all shared on this channel. A beautiful memorial to wonderful creatures.
Those roars were sister Queens Amy and Meg talking to the other lions and hyenas and leopards
Letting them know Queen Amy was going to be leaving earth soon. She was a gorgeous lioness...and along with Meg made so many lives ❤️ better. Rip beautiful girl. So happy to see the one and only Meg and Icarus as a pride. Wow 👌 👍

It's been awhile since Amy past but the tears still swell when I see a video of her
I still remember very clearly, with Amy on the table under anesthesia, the doctor showing Kevin the extent of Amy's cancer, and raising the dreaded issue of what would be the best way to proceed with her. The doctor commented afterward about his experience with other lions, and how they had spared Amy much misery by making the hard decision to let her go. We all miss her very much.

The beautiful Amy, gone but never ever forgotten. Would love the opportunities to go to S. Africa. All of Africa holds a special place in my heart but an illness prevents travel. Good luck everyone x

There is alot more to meg and amy's story. Like when meg went swimming and how kevin saved them from a bad place. And i remember a video of Kevin saying " after a long day of working with the lions its good to go back home to meg and amy" they used to love jumping on him and taking him down. I think this was before this channel on youtube. Meg is very special in other ways too for those who remember her mane phase haha. I miss Amy very much. To me they are the duo that started everything

When Meg got up on her feet and started roaring very loudly after you said "she'll just live her life until she can't" about Amy, some people will always say "it was just a coincidence" but I personnaly truely believe she understood what you were saying, or at least knew you were giving bad news and that she was basically saying "no I can't let it happen" and that breaks me every damn time. And when Amy join her and roars with her just like she was saying "I'll be fine sister"

I WISH I could come down and see my darling friends. It doesn't matter how many times I see these lions, I feel the same surge of affection, strength, patience, and magnificence as I always do. I just feel something akin to them much deeper than just admiration for their animalness. I just love watching them. I wish the lucky recipient of this prize all the happiness and enjoyment of it.

Really great Meg and Icarus have both accepted each other, that was an excellent idea and they both prove it everyday.
The sanctuary does a great job led by someone exceptionnal, we deseperately need on earth more people like you KR. The wild is dying slowly but surely, it will be soon too late to reverse the situation and to have some sort of '' leaders'' to warn us and show us that things are possible ... brings some hope.

Meg and Amy together were two of my favorites. Doesn't seem like she's quite as taken with Icarus who like many male lions can be a bit of a bully but she still seems like a happy lion. Another great post Kevin.
