Hey Everyone ! a very special video to share today. This is the Winner ( Amanda ) of the Foundation campaign from last year and her recent visit to the Sanctuary. Some on the move action in the Helicopter, it helps show the important conservation work we undertake and always a challenge but satisfying. I have to say, with the rhino she reminded me of Dr. Alan Grant when he was laying on the triceratops while it breathed in Jurassic Park, pure joy.

The pure joy in Amanda’s voice and in her eyes was so amazing! She certainly has a story to tell! Kevin’s is right. Seeing this through her eyes made it that much more special to see the work you are doing. It was almost from our (the viewers) perspective if we were there. I know that feeling.....
Helicopter rides....
My Pilot was a Vietnam Vet....
He was giving rides for $15 per.
Taking 5 ppl per trip at the local Fair....
I spent all the money I had saved from working that Summer with him...
I think I went up like 17 times...
Last trip was just he and I...
He asked what I'd like to do on this last ride....
I was so excited I almost yelled out the question....
I blurted out "Combat Maneuvers...!"...
He got this epic grin on his face, and away we went....
Yeah..... darting the animals....
You wouldn't need to ask me twice....!!!
Looks like Amanda had the time of her life. I bet it's a real privilege to view a game reserve by helicopter. It looked really spectacular.

Wow, this is a great story, she's won a short trip to Kevin's resort, and at first she did not believe SHE had won. And in RSA, her enthusiasm even surprised Kevin a bit, like, get real, you work with rhino's, never forget how special that is! She can win a second contest, the moment she enters! Can't she be staff in South Africa, for a year?
That was a experience of a lifetime. She will tell her grandkids about this.

Seeing Amanda put her head on the rhino to listen to its heart beat and breathing is just the scene in Jurassic Park with the Triceratops. What makes it better is that her name is Amanda so it’s like they took Amanda Kirby from Jurassic Park III and put her the first film.

I was just telling my daughter yesterday that if it wasn’t so far to go to South Africa I would love to travel there and my first visit would be to the Sanctuary to see all the lions that I watch every week on your videos and also to get the chance to meet you Kevin! Thank you for all the education that you provide. The only wild animals that I can see are squirrels and skunks 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️. It would be so trilling to see the lions ☺️☺️
And how fortunate you are to see SQUIRRELS (1 of my fave critters) & schunks eh! I see huge Black Cockatoos and smaller White Cockatoos, Opossums and the occasional Bat here in Oz! ❤

That was really great and I am so glad Amanda and her husband loved their experience especially the part where Amanda had her moment with that Rhino when she was in total bliss. Would have loved to see her reactions to your lions and leopards and hyenas. Also I am so glad that the money raised from that competition was enough to implant all those Rhinos. Thanks again Kevin!

I'm glad Amanda had such a lucky win and got to experience all of that. I will never be able to see your sanctuary in person but I am so glad for what you do to help the precious animals live meaningful, healthy, and worthwhile quality lives. I would have taken some Dramamine and gone along to experience that helicopter tracking and darting process, I think it would have been the best part!
At the end of it all, Kevin can say he did something in his life and there are hundreds of thousands of us that would agree.
