Imagine showing someone creep and then this
In the time span of 8 years.

Either this or 'Twist' by Korn
In Pyramid Song (originally called Egyptian Song), we hear about someone on a row boat on the Nile going to heaven. In egyptian tombs, called mastabas, they had a fake door (literally called "fake door") which would open only to the soul of the dead. After all of the real doors and trap doors in the pyramids, you had one you would be never coming back from...
I'm scared...
I just read yesterday about how this album was inspired by Egyptian and Greek mythology
Don't forget the fall of the Roman Empire You and who's Army?..... Oh Space Force Holy Shit U got it !
hmm...
This is misleading... the dead soul goes into a fake door and cannot come back. Have I read you right? What is this then about other souls entering real doors? Confusing. Rephrase.
"And there are trap doors, that you can't come back from"...Man that bit always gives me chills. Also it links back to "In Limbo" where he says "trap doors that open, I spiral down".
Kid a and amnesiac were recorded in the same time so they are linked
Love those Songs
I fully believe kid a and amnesiac are intentionally connected
technically amensiac is kid a's b sides@@riahlexington
@@watxhythat's just not true in the slightest, do you even know what a b-side is
Now that's some stuff of nightmares. Wish I could find a meaning and proper explanation of all the bizzare things found on Kid A and Amnesiac.
Exploration and experimentation within the inner self. A voyage inside yourself.
I heard that when OK Computer exploded, Thom got depressed because he thought, "This is it. It's downhill from here." After a bit of a break, they decided to say fuck it and make the weirdest, most different music from what they were known for. Thus, Kid A and Amnesiac.
Same goes for many a track from NIN
Well they are Just nonsense but after like the 20 time listening to it u can vibe to that shit lmao
Kid A is about the life of a clone as he/she goes through many of the struggles that a normal human does.
Amnesiac tells the story of the sequels of that clone including some failures like the one in life in a glasshouse who is an ovum/sperm stuck in a Petri dish, or the one that goes mad in spinning plates.
Not canon, but my personal interpretation of the albums.
not the best thing to watch just before going to bed
I watched this before bed once...
Or on acid lmao
I am on my bed. And fuck it's 3:37 a.m. I just wanted to discover the "Amnesiac" RH's album.
this soothes me actually
Noted. I’ll watch it later...maybe.
I love how a third of the way through, you can hear the ending sounds of "Pyramid Song". It makes it feel really cinematic, like those sounds are a reoccurring theme.
Although they only reoccur for one song.
Reminds me of Damon Albarn’s little known Mali Music with the recurring ‘sunset coming on’ on harmonica (I think) building toward the song Sunset Coming On.
a lot of their music is very self referential like that. the experience of listening to Radiohead is truly a privileged one.
@Michael Sauner I'm two years late, but why "I Will", since it's an HTTT song?
@@GReduxZ they originally recorded it for Kid A/Amnesiac, but it sounded like "dodgy Kraftwerk", so they reversed it. If you re-reverse Like Spinning Plates then you can hear what they mean.
This was made in 2001 and still feels like a brand new, and very unnerving futuristic vision.
The future has already happened
I watched this on piles of 2CB when it came out.
It’s the elites genetically modifying humans to be obedient slaves.
Nah this music video is y2k as hell
this song just furthers my fright of listening to certain radiohead songs in the dark...

It’s been like 20 years and I still get terrified with the “spinning plates” part 😖
20 years since listening to this on repeat when it first came out. First time watching the video. Wow.
It's a combination of 2 songs off their 2001 album "Amnesiac."
Ayyy first comment
Huh? 15 years ago on a 9-years-old video?
@@roxwizeI think this video was a reupload.
@@DefeatedAgain-it wasn’t. Radiohead lost rights to their music for a while so this was probably made private.
Pulk / Pull Revolving Doors is probably Radiohead's most creepy and disturbing song
Like a pig. In a cage. On antibiotics.
I find Spinning Plates to be creepier than Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors.
Kid As vocals still terrify me
Trans-Atlantic Drawl
Kid A title track IMO
That moment when the ribs are finally out and you know they will never breathe again but the camera doesn’t show their face anymore... just oil that looks like a tear.... yeah. It’s that powerful.
This is peak ethereal Radiohead.
What if we kissed in the rotating baby machine 😳
whoever directed this is a madman
thanks to that one guy who told me this was not a good thing to watch before bed.
came back the next morning and wow
two of my favourite tracks combined... I don't know what to say
Video is fantastic
This is a masterpiece. Not for the feint of heart but omg is this brilliant. Radiohead peaking creatively in ways I wouldn't imagine. Listen to the live piano version when you get the chance, amazing.
Comparto plenamente. Y la versión live de esta canción es sublime con Thom al piano.
I feel like this is just a screen recording of Thom playing Portal 2
This version of Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors here is very different to the one on the Amnesiac album. How odd...
The only difference is the intro, from what I've heard so far.
Also, the outro is more a part of the video than song.
problalby cause then you need pyramid song
...and where are the lyrics on pulk/pull?....
I’m not gonna lie the voice effect in the album version of push/pulk is absolutely ass.
Lyrics for push pull:There are barn doors
And there are revolving doors
Doors on the rudders of big ships
We are revolving doors
There are doors that open by themselves
There are sliding doors
And there are secret doors
There are doors that lock
And doors that don't
There are doors that let you in
And out
But never open
But there are trapdoors
That you can't come back from
Portal 3 Trailer or something?
Ahriarah i have a theory. radiohead bandmates are actually aliens. all of their songs contain secret message about the truth of the universe. and this video is actually a cryptic instruction to build a time machine.

This comment is underrated. Adult swim has some weird psychedelic mind control demonic shit lol
if I caught a Johnny Hardstaff short in the middle of [as] that'd be the last time I ever watched the Cartoon Network lol, terrifying shit.
*_no babies were hurt during the making of this video_*
Death Stranding - *opening scene*
Ardnegan have you seen the new trailer?
I love the out of tune "piano" chord at the beginning of pulk... I dont know why...
I'm getting a lot of Chris Cunningham vibes off this one. You can definitely tell this aesthetic was right on the heels of videos such as Bjork's All Is Full of Love and Autechre's Second Bad Vibel.
That music video directed Johnny Hardstaff, not Chris Cunningham.
The Pulk/Pull part reminds me of the Gantz Graf video or the unofficial plyPhon one
True Love Waits is the most sad song and this one is the most creepy song by the group
Look @ 2:52, its a menu screen for operating the machine and you can see a whole lot of medical instruments (clamps, scalpels etc) displayed like menu options.
So I think the machine isnt to hurt the babies, its for medical imaging/therapy.
It just looks creepy and futuristic - I mean if the babies' bones were really being ripped from the body there would be blood and guts everywhere, but its all clean and clinical.
Besides, the machine looks fucking awesome and I want one!
I like to think of it as some form or cloning technology/transferring an AI into a human mind, one of the babies is just a shell and the other is live
The machine spinning the heck outta the babies is bound to cause them distress. Together with the lyrics, it suggest that this is not to help them. The reason why we don't see any blood or guts could be the secret working of the machine. Maybe in this futuristic society, extracting babies' bones is acceptable but it's done in such a way that is "painless", "scientific", and "moral".
It really begs that question of what kind of a society it is that the existence of this machine makes sense.
2:26 pyramid song?
I think they reused the same loop for both songs. In the album, Pulk and Pyramid Song are next to each other and end almost the same way
Exploration and experimentation within the inner self. A voyage inside yourself.
That’s what the album amnesiac is about
I feel like I've said this about a lot of music videos but I think you make this the opening to an entire movie with whatever this horrendous machine is being the main plot.
This feels like a fucking nightmare, the weird hellish mechanical environment is so chilling and i’m terrified...
Who say electronic music cannot express feelings? Radiohead ftw, they're intense.
such a bizarre & fascinating song off amnesiac
You're clearly high.
stfu willice i'm the baby i'm allowed to say this
i'm amazed. radiohead is offically my god.
All hail Radiohead.
Hail to the thief
Are you such a dreamer
To put the world to rights?
While you make pretty speeches, I'm being cut to shreds
Like Spinning Plates I really underrated and one of my favs off of Amnesiac, the chord progression I mean. Unfortunately as much as I like the ideas on Pulk Pull Revolving Doors, I find it disappointing that the song didn’t really go anywhere, it just layered things. Strange but catchy beat I will say for the most part though.
@@brotosaurus everyone thinks that so they listen to it more out of pity, so it isn’t really that underrated
My 2 favourite Radiohead songs
Best Abstract Performances award goes to: RADIOHEAD!
This sounds and looks like the opening scene to a sci-fi horror movie.
Beautifull conceptual art, no more words needed
This is a perfect trip song,, high eneeyfy then getting the sound waves back n fourth.. love this track combination right here
All these years later, I now understand my fascination with experimental music. This was my favorite song on the album for some reason
Looks like my corrupted blender project 😭
Two masterpieces and this video combined. How radiohead HOW???
Radiohead is so awesome! But how come some of their songs have no words? I love their singer!
He has the most eerie voice in the world I jumped when he started singing
the difference between music "stars" and actual artist. This
well radiohead's entire discography in general.
@ajre82 imagine what it would have been like watching that in '01. very ahead of its time and still is
this video absolutely the real song for Daydreaming clip video
Man I remember watching this in the 2006 version of youtube
Reading into the music video (again), I feel like this might be about human sacrifice. Let's take into consideration, many industries (such as petrol) have predicted the collateral damage that could happen from not taking into consideration ethics, yet many times they've ignored them to justify bigger earnings. Of course, we have some signs that are easier ties to this explanation, such as the black droplets (akin to petrol), or the machine in question. However, what sells me on this explanation is the babies in question. After the Union Carbide disaster, many children (if not dead) were left with developmental impairments due to the pollution caused from the disaster, which leaked toxic substances to the water supply of Bhopal. In other words, industries not only have ignored the potential damage their operations could make towards their environment; it's part of their equation.
But this video is one of the most interpretative music videos Radiohead has ever released. I previously interpreted this as war, considering the war themes of other songs of theirs.
I love how you can make something so inorganic and emotionless (e.g, a literal machine) give off such an evil vibe with just the right tweaks
I'm not gonna lie, this is one of the few Radiohead songs I dislike. It makes me feel too uncomfortable. Imo it doesn't even belong on the same album as "life in a glasshouse".
@@janrychly6651 we have very different tastes lmao. Literally mr fav RH track
@@Slurpgerk Yeah, we do. Yet, it's interesting how RH can produce such a variety of music.

Loved the use of this in the show Dopesick. I got addicted to Oxycontin whilst in a huge Radiohead phase and this was the song I'd play when waiting on dealers sick or out of money... Or nodding out on my drug... Addiction is just spinning plates endlessly..
The one problem with this video: there aren't enough doors

This is the scariest video I've ever seen. At first you don't know what it is, then you see what it is and you don't understand anything. Then you realize that there is nothing you can do. It's like a Space Odyssey 2001, only scarier. And the most terrible thing is these are the blue drawings. The presence of the human with it is not necessary in all this.
