I felt so sad for the lady in Tucson. The agent must have alerted the crew, and the crew went above and beyond their jobs to help her help the passenger. Bravo, Sunset crew, Bravo!
Watched it and was extremely pleased that she was able to get onboard. This speaks highly of the train crew and the station personnel at The Tucson Station.
Couldn't leave anyone stranded in that dump longer than they had to be.
Proves there are still good people in this world. And for those that commented that she shouldn't have been late I hope you never are in that situation
@@kevinhosey9570 Agree. It could be that s/he was held up at the counter trying to get a ticket or something else happened. Never assume that lateness was caused by an oversight of person(s) involved.
I remember when those Klemme, Iowa grain hoppers were close to brand new when I was a kid growing up in Iowa. Nice to see them still in service, along with that Soo Line!
I'll echo that..
Whoever the late passenger was, I hope and believe that they had a pressing reason for being late. But I was expecting the lady who was waiting to get on too, and I was quite surprised when she didn't. Anyway, try that with a jet plane? I don't think so. The crew was so kind to make that extra effort. I also still love the steam-engine whistles more than almost anything on here; they sound like the history and romance of our nation condensed into one beautiful, mournful song. Keep up the great work!

Nice to see Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn's great grandkids enjoying a day on the river at 19:45....Another great grab bag, I really enjoyed it! Liked the double car between the tracks action too, and the knight-ings. The Fedex truck may have been driven by Sir Backus Overshoot. Very close call with the car behind.

Whatta Maroon! At Big Sandy, the Eagle, (all 4 cars of it) and one or two engines takes 10-15 seconds to clear the crossing. Glad that Darwin Candidate has an extra minute he saved. Sheesh.

Full marks to Amtrak, the patience of the Engineer and the courtesy shown by the Conductor. I don't think anything like that would ever occur in the UK.

Hey, we’ve seen a lot of as- um, donkeys, on this channel. Most aren’t obeying the rules of the road as carefully as this one.
That person at Elkhart wouldve been history if a train was coming!
I feel sympathy for the rest of Elkhart driving public that night-they had to be in danger as long as he was on the loose!

You is Elkhart’s platform so far away from the station? I’ve noticed a lot our the Amtrak stations have platforms that are a fair distance from any shelters/station buildings. Is this dine on purpose?
On purpose in the sense that it probably happened before Amtrak. A lot of those stations had tracks closer to the station so that stopped trains didn't interfere with the traffic on the main. Those tracks are long gone. It looks like Elkhart may have had two or three tracks closer to the station in the past.

You talking about the driver in Elkhart because not only he needs to go back to driving school, he would've been history if a train was coming.
Someone had way to much to drink and should not been driving.
Miss Western Maryland has a lovely voice when she calls her crossings etc...but hate to see dirty inefficient stacks for the sake of some photog who does not know better the clean. So many Flags indeed, couple of them new to me and I been watching the bag grabs a while now... 'Moving house?' I almost spat laughing and sped up just a bit it was more fun than when I saw it live on that cam...
There could have been all sorts of extenuating circumstances for the passenger being late. I found your Amtrack 10 and Passenger 0 comment to be in rather bad taste! People get called out in chat for less than that but it's ok for you on a grab bag?
