I have forgotten scent several times in my very limited experience, and it’s nice to be reassured that such a professional soap maker like yourself does also. Really enjoy all of your videos, I have watched many of them. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge. You give me hope.
When I forget the scent, I call it "unscented By Mistake". I have found that when people can't use scent, they still like a pretty bar. I also went to a palm free recipe. Very nice video. Subbed
I love the way your soap looks. All of your designs are amazing. However, to answer your question, I prefer nothing on top of the bar. When I have bought soap with dried flowers on top I wash them off before I use it.
I am really enjoying all your videos!! Thank you so much for taking the time to teach! I have mustered up the courage to turn our goat milk here on the farm to some soap! Blessings from Virginia! ~jc
I don't mind having a little bit of non soap decoration on bars, not a lot...and fragrance is nice, but sometimes I prefer no scent in bath products. I can't wait to try one of your soaps! They are all so beautiful and good quality!
I just so enjoy watching your videos! And to funny my first ever goats milk soap I made, I completely forgot to add the fragrance! I was so disappointed.
I would love to have the workspace in my room just to make sure you were so lucky I think it looks beautiful and I’m sure it’s going to smell great even with no fragrance
I think if I was to purchase for myself I’d prefer a really lovely plain bar, I’d be concerned with non soap product going into the drain then affecting it or find their way to the sea.
Beautiful! you are a joy to watch. about the tops i like the natural look any botanical is fine, not to crazy about soaps with a very high top and full of things that take too much time and don't add to the quality of the soap, but if it's a gift i would be happy either way :), Nancy from California.
Enjoying your videos. I for one am not one who likes all the toppings ,such as seeds, they can cause plumbing issues. Or might be scratchy. I also like unscented, but sometimes light scents are ok.
Hello Ms. Ellen. Nice soap. Question:what would be the best temperature to have in order to combine the oils with the goats milk/lye solution without acceleration? Thank you in advance.
Love it!! The more I watch your videos, I realize who you remind me of..... me 😂. Just used cranberry seed on my second CP. But I made a mistake and used the wrong FO. So disapponted because it was my second time and first time at swirling.
I have forgotten my fragrance so often that I decided last week to do an all natural unscented soap line. And a lot of ppl do double Milk soap’s and triple milk soap’s but that’s not fair to the Vega community. So I’m going to do a triple vegan milk line.
Because it's a % recipe, so you'll get the recommended liquid and lye amounts after you plug in the numbers of the amount you want to make into soap calc.
I don’t mind as long as there isn’t much. Life needs a little zing every now and then. ❤

Oh ya, it happens.... But I actually have a lot of customers that really like unscented bars too... So it's all good.
@@EllenRuthSoap Any hints on how to sort out morphing colors. It’s driving me out of my mind.

Love all you videos and thank you for your generous recipe blessings 🙏🏼🌺🌸🤗
You are so welcome!
Beautiful soap.. it does look like a lemon pie though...😊

Thanks for watching! Have fun soaping!

I agree, I go back and forth on the toppings..
I really enjoyed your video....you work and talk at a nice pace, easy to see what you were doing.
Thank you so much😀

Beautiful soap.
Thank you!
Gorgeous. I love those colors💖
Thanks! The oxide came out darker than I anticipated.

Thank you !!!!!!!!ELLEN
Love the new business, good to see you doing well Mrs. Dahl!!! (Devin's old friend from SD:)
Thanks Carly! I remember you!

Thank you Nancy! Yes, I go back and forth on the toppings... Looks vs functionality...😅
Muchas gracias!!😘
Hello! May i ask you… what do you do with the cutoffs of each soap? I mean, the edges that are rid off 😁
I make either rebatch or confetti soap
i love this recipe but i rewrite in my way that way i will have my own soap recipe
Enjoying your videos. I for one am not one who likes all the toppings ,such as seeds, they can cause plumbing issues. Or might be scratchy. I also like unscented, but sometimes light scents are ok.
That's so true about the plumbing, good point! Sometimes simple is best😉
Hello Ms. Ellen. Nice soap. Question:what would be the best temperature to have in order to combine the oils with the goats milk/lye solution without acceleration? Thank you in advance.
When using full milk, like this video, I start with frozen milk and add the lye very slowly. Then mix with oils when both are at near 85 degrees

Thank you,Ms. Ellen!!! I always enjoy watching you. Everything is very clear and understandable.
Love the Colours. Do you still make this recipe with the essential oils 😂
I don't make this recipe often, it's not my regular one...
Hi again, mum new to soap making and I trying to work out how % works out in oz . Is there a way to work it out please
if you run the # thru soap calc, it'll show the %
Love it!! The more I watch your videos, I realize who you remind me of..... me 😂. Just used cranberry seed on my second CP. But I made a mistake and used the wrong FO. So disapponted because it was my second time and first time at swirling.
Cranberry seeds are so pretty 💕
Also I used the soap calculator and the coconut oil has 3 options, which one did you use? 76 deg, 96 deg or fractionated?
I use 76 deg. coconut oil
You’re awesome, thank you 😊
Love it... what is the superfat % you used?
Thank you 💕 I usually super fat at 5-6%
My opinion is no I don't mind at all! The poppy seeds are a good exfolient.
I love your soapmaking videos. Can i ask something. When you use goats milk for the soap do you reduce your water for the lye.
Thanks! Yes, what ever amount of goat milk I'm using, I replace the water amount with it.
@@EllenRuthSoap . Thanks alot for the answer. Im so so gratefull to you
Which essential oil would have used and how much?
Bramble Berry has a good fragrance/essential oil calc
What was your SF on this soap?
I super fat around 5-6%
@Helen Ruth Soap where could i find the 6qt bucket?
either Amazon or Webstaurant
Ellen Ruth Soap Thank youuuuu 🌹 i just ordered 2 bars Triple butter and Berry 🧼 I’m excited about it. Lol 😂
Soul Guided thank you 🥰
I ran the measurements through the soap calculator and am coming up 4% short. Am I missing something?
Thank you for catching that! I don't know why I hit the 3 instead of the 5?? Anyway, it's been updated to the proper percentages now. Thanks again.
Hi , I was wondering is caster , caster sugar please
Castor is an oil
How much Goat Milk did you use?
I used full milk for this recipe. The amount depends on how big of a batch you’re making
I have forgotten my fragrance so often that I decided last week to do an all natural unscented soap line. And a lot of ppl do double
Milk soap’s and triple milk soap’s but that’s not fair to the Vega community. So I’m going to do a triple vegan milk line.
I do get a lot of requests for unscented, so it's okay. Vegan triple milk sounds wonderful!!
Hi, I’m Pat again, what’s the molds measure please? Thanks!
In this video I'm using the Essential Depot mold, their web site has all the measurements
Forgetting to put items in happens to me ALL the time. Forgot the honey yesterday 🤫
🤣 glad I’m not alone 🤪
Why arent there liquid measurements in the recipe.
Because it's a % recipe, so you'll get the recommended liquid and lye amounts after you plug in the numbers of the amount you want to make into soap calc.
Never use a calculator befor
I don’t like stuff on top of my soap I will cut it off before I use it
No extra soap is to bathe with not a designer thing...besides it just going down the drain anyhow...
