    Also, this ain’t a new thing it’s been going on since the dawn of time. We as a race need to stop giving attention to ppl who degrade our image, tune into anything but them. At what point do we stop saying it’s corporations exploiting it and just say it’s communities diminishing themselves, can’t say a 25 year old is being exploited when they’re literally just being themselves ya feel me

    • @Trepanation21
      @Trepanation21 7 วันที่ผ่านมา +11

      Perhaps you don't understand what "exploiting" means.
      Both can be true at the same time, but the conversation isn't about the source, it's about the incentive to perpetuate it. The topic is literally about an _industry_ that's putting money and machine behind the problem.

    • @AaaaAaaa-ql3kj
      @AaaaAaaa-ql3kj 7 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      @ I know what exploiting means very well, but to suggest that 20-30 year olds are being exploited when they’re more than capable of making their own decisions is beyond me. And why doesn’t it ever translate to any other genre? Just because hip hop is black music doesn’t mean behaviour from corporations is MORE predatory than others.

    • @Kuhmodo
      @Kuhmodo 7 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      But it IS corporations exploiting this. The issue is people keep saying 'corporations' instead of being specific. What's 'Corporations' last name? What does 'Corporations' look like? Saying that doesn't help. If you REALLY want to know how all of this works out stick around:
      There's a method of calling out people specifically because when a crowd is called out they often never listen. This can be used to save someone's life too. 'For example, if someone is hurt on the streets and you're surrounded by people don't just yell out asking for help, point at someone specifically and ask them to call 911 or whatever.' Also I didn't make this shit up you can look it up. Same logic applies here, but instead these people think you're too stupid to do so. Matter of fact, they depend on your ignorance. Another prime example is Diddy taking all the heat while Lucian Grainge and Clive Davis get to kick their feet up and keep doing it.

Even though copycat-ism is prevalent today, I don't think we're going to see MANY young ladies try and replicate Sexyy Red for the simple fact that people are going to analyze the return on investment. Even though Sexyy Red has been able to make a great living for herself, the amount of collateral damage that she's had to withstand is not for the faint of heart. And yes, she's brought most of it onto herself.
