The issue here between Lil Wayne and Kendrick was that Wayne DIDN'T actually hear the line referencing him. When Skip Bayless read it to him, you could tell by the look on his face that he realized he made a mistake. He literally said he hadn't heard the line and then immediately broke down the line referencing him and said he understood where Kendrick was coming from. I think Wayne let people get in his ear and he felt a little embarassed by it.

Which besides him apologizing which regains a lot respect I have for Wayne because once I knew he didn’t even listen to the song…or screamed “Careless directed aggression without any concern of research.” Which isn’t a good look. However, I’m glad he did apologize. Wayne should just retire and be a Coach his glory days are over honestly

It was weird watching Wayne act like this over a Superbowl Halftime Show, but I kind of understood why. That said, it had been in New Orleans plenty of times and he was never once offered it, so why react this time around? It made sense from a business standpoint to pick Kendrick, as he doesn't pose the many risks that Wayne would AND he's the hottest big name rapper right now. Just makes sense.

Things were not quiet until the drop of GNX. After the initial reactions months later Wayne doubled and tripled down at his Wezyanna Festival. Him and Master P were on stage talking about him the "Superbowl was taken from me." Before all these antics there was every chance that Kendrick would've brought him out at the halftime show.

Wayne would've been Kendrick's first choice, but he fed into the BS, which had alot to do with Drake and Nicki w JayZ mess. He didn't give Dot the chance to contact him before going off the deep end. It was Jay that bailed Wayne out of his financial mess, not the others. I don't think that he would've disagreed if Kendrick chose to bring Wayne out, which I think he will. He's for the people. He's got a surprise for Louisiana. He has the chance to make Wayne's dream of his Mom seeing him perform at the SB, he got that. But he needs to clean himself up, from the inside. I think that's why Wayne is so calm. Pop out!
