With the new Phineas and Ferb movie "Candace Against the Universe" approaching Disney Plus, people are going to wonder what other animated series could make a special comeback, with the idea of Gravity Falls being all but inevitable. So, what would a new Gravity Falls movie look like? We have a decent idea, involving the Pines family in a different kind of adventure! How has the town changed after Weirdmageddon? Dipper, Mabel, Soos, Grunkle Stan, Ford, Wendy and even Gideon all have something to do!

Honestly, building off of MatPat’s theory that Bill lives in Stan’s mind, I think a movie with Bill-Stan as an antagonist would be a good idea. It would also be absolutely heartbreaking to see the GF crew fighting Stan, but Bill would use that to his advantage.

I feel like at the very LEAST we need a Disney+ miniseries of the Stan’s adventures overseas.
Also, love the idea of this movie plot you came up with, if this thing became a reality I would honestly like at least a couple subtle jokes of Mable dealing with the struggles of puberty (like her shifting around in her seat uncomfortably because her body is acting weird to her, or having to go the bathroom for “girl stuff” at random points in the movie)

Maybe Mable could have a boyfriend who she (after asking Dipper because she learned her lesson in sock opera) shows him journal 3,leading to him and Dipper also being close. I imagine his signature colour would be green and he might even have a hat like Dipper’s.
They could use Dipper’s real name at one point,from a teacher or parent or this friend of his.
They could lead to something like Dipper actually being an anonymoly with his birth mark.
Maybe their parents could come with them to see the adventure and meet their children’s great-uncles.

Yes, we know it's over. But we also know, that EVERYTHING is has a secret meaning related to Gravity Falls. Just think about it. You see a random bird? Oh dang, isn't that the bird that watched the bedroom at the end of the show? Wait, is that a pine tree? I don't think I need to explain further more. This show basically gave us secret meanings to all of our lifes. And also the curiosity to explore(or atleast for me, after this I jumped into the paranormal things). And after all, who knows, maybe Hirsch is lying about everything, and we believed him, and he is working at a s3&s4 at this exact moment. Who knows? Remember! Reality is an illusion, the universe is a hologram, buy gold, bye!

I would love to see those kind of problems with our main cast like Mabel's stressing, Dipper being a loner etc. But not too much for a single movie. If they decide to make another season, you can give every character these realistic prob. and it would be THE BEST THING EVER !!!
Exactly but I would also like to see the bad after-effects of their summer in Gravity Falls, realistically that kind of stuff doesn’t just go away, obviously Dipper would still investigate the weird and Mabel would still wear sweaters and be a little more upbeat but it’s obviously in reality they would AT LEAST have PTSD and SEVERE separation anxiety among other things, also I’d like to remind you all that stuff happened to two TWELVE/THIRTEEN year olds, yeah kids find it easier to accept things and adapt then adults do but it’s going to leave lasting damage, I mean they were almost killed on a number of occasions and lived through a literal apocalypse, also if there’s a sequel or movie or whatever I’d really love the shapeshifter to escape the bunker, I don’t know if he should be a bad or good guy but I can just imagine an important or even a side character being revealed to be a dangerous shapeshifter, plus it always bothered me neither him or trembly was seen again (not to mention the president’s key), sorry if that didn’t make sense or if I offended you
Short answer: IT WOULD BE A GIFT FROM THE HEAVENS
I want to give my take on this pitch!
As a result of the Weirdmagedon, there is a bigger rift between the normal and supernatural sides of Gravity Falls. A third party comes to reinvent the town into something more "normal", which threatens the Mystery Shack's existence. The newcomer is also plotting to capture and exterminate all weird creatures but there could be a hidden agenda related to dark magic (like absorbing the place's natural "weirdness" to fuel their power)
Since the finale was about fighting weirdness, this would be the opposite. Embracing the weird as what makes you special, and by the end, the humans and magic creatures of Gravity Falls would be one joined society.
Maybe even Bill gets a redemption arc

It would be cool if Bill comes back and makes a deal with Trent (I think that’s his name-) and Bill helps transform the people into monsters, in the last episode Bill Calls upon the Axolotl and says that he will return so I would make sense, maybe Trent could meet with the axolotl and somehow gets Bill back and makes a deal
But maybe bill sees the error of his ways,realising that there are more important things than power,ending the movie trying to find a way to bring his dimension back with Ford while helping the towns people with day to day tasks

You guys still remember the kid in the isolated jail in the swimming pool? As the credits move on you see it snows at some point, which means that hes been there for the WHOLE series and even at Weirdmageddon because it all happens in one summer. Dipper and mabel already left Gravity Falls after Weirdmageddon. At some point it isn't Winter anymore what tells us that the last cutscenes are glimps of what happens after the show ends, from that child's piont though.
This is an amazing concept. I love how it's so grounded and not too outlandish. And really keeps the spirt of the original series.

The only time the characters speak backwards are when Bill is in there mind sorry for this long paragraph😭😂
If they were to return bill I think one of them should be relaxing outside whether its Dipper, or Ford, or who ever, they should be relaxing when they suddenly sit up and then reality should go all altered on them. Then the evil dorito should make some grand entrance announcing basically the whole point for a movie.

I LOVE this idea! At the beginning of the video, I thought about and came up with a winter-based idea. Possibly winter holidays theme with a few wit-filled jokes made about weird holidays in Gravity Falls as a call back to the Summerween episode. But in another video you mentioned Gideon getting possessed by Bill. What if the twins visit gravity falls before the holidays during winter break and at first it's beautiful and snowy just like you imagine. Then the weather or season completely changes and Dipper doesn't pay it much mind because "its gravity falls" until Ford points out that it's never happened before because the magical creatures need a specific ecosystem (maybe some environmental message). Turns out there's a new source of weirdness in the dome that's causing this new brand of chaos. It appears to the family in the form of a possessed Gideon or his dad. They think it's Bill and that idea gets played with for half of the movie. However, it's a totally new creature or mutation that just let them assume it was Bill so they would be scared or not figure out the right tactics to use against him. It could be a funny nod about how fans want Bill to be revived but Hirsch or others are adamant he won't. We get to see more interaction and character development with the townspeople and Gideon. Eventually, the creature over-exerts the host leaving itself vulnerable and that's when the pines take them out.
They'd do it without Alex Hersh's permission probably.

Fun With Christina It depends on how the new Gravity Falls book performs. It’s the first bit of Gravity Falls media released by Disney without Alex Hirsch’s input, blessing, or even knowledge. If it does as well as the stuff he worked on, they might totally stab him in the back & make a movie without his permission. If it flops, they might reconsider shutting him out of his own franchise.

Dude Honestly, I’d like to debate the, “difficulty” of making the show. If he’s worried about a stressful schedule, he can just release a new episode ever few months if he needs to. If he needs voice actors, PLENTY OF PEOPLE are willing to audition and I personally know some good VA’s who care enough about Gravity Falls to work for less than minimum wage. If he is worried about him just not having time to work on it, because of the amount of projects he is working on, then we are perfectly content to wait, as long as we can at least hold on to the hope of a return. Even if he just doesn’t like gravity falls anymore, he could just let a trusted group of people do everything else, and just review what the story is when they’re finished. If he has a problem with something, we are ABSOLUTELY WILLING TO HELP FIX IT
I think it would be cool if instead of him just Turing them into monsters. He has a machine that determines weather something is “trendy” enough. It would end with Tren-T falling onto the platform and having is own machine deem him not “trendy” enough which turns him into a weird huge monster.

As much as I like this, I think the biggest problem is bill. If gravity falls came back, everyone would want him to come back. The problem is, how does he come back without feeling like a repeat of weirdmageddon?
The only thing I can think of is dipper doesn’t like school and keeps telling himself he wished he took fords offer to become his apprentice. But then he would have strange dreams that would over time subliminally draw him to the bill statue. He might make a deal to set bill free but rewind time back to dipper and Mabel vs the future. Dipper would be able to stop weirdmageddon from happening by getting the right backpack this time and then ford and him would seal the rift. But due to dipper shaking bills hand before he went back and stopped weirdmageddon, the two of them would be connected somehow, maybe like how bill was with ford. Ford might start to realize something’s off and then we might have a return of bipper. Meanwhile Mabel’s story would be that at first when the story opens, she would have a lot of friends and be very happy with dipper holding her back from doing things. When dipper changed the time stream and she doesn’t get mabel land, she would have to learn to deal with change in her own way which is when she might find a new love interest who actually cares abt her and become the #1 ship where it’s not forced but still clearly cannon. But then the end result of the movie might be Mabel reverting the time period back which would save dipper and the universe but make her loose everything she’s ever dreamed. This would be good for 2 reasons.
1. It would make up for all of her selfish acts through the show
2. It would mirror dipper reverting back the time to not be with Wendy so that Mabel could have waddles

Trent D's motivation should be that growing up in Gravity Falls he came across an anomaly, and because of this he was slightly deformed and the rest of the townsfolk made fun of him calling him a monster. He comes back to Gravity Falls as an adult in order to seek revenge on the townsfolk.
Maybe they wouldn't have made fun of him, but rather pushed him out

This is actually a REAAAAALLY good plot, and considering how Gravity Falls is, it would be a really great change from the type of themes it used to have. I don't want a season 3, I want this.
I love the idea and what if he was a monster the whole time and he wants revenge for something, and what if he has a magical artifact that turns them into monsters. Maybe something that has relevance to bill or Weirdmageddon

The plot would be that when Stan’s memories were restored, Bill survives while his brother is a lot worst than bill himself. The brother would make a mashup of every monster slash enemy Dipper and Mabel faced. For once Bill is shined as a hero and gets a redemption arc. When it comes to the final moment when Bill decides whether or not to save Dipper or Mabel while killing himself in the process, he decides to do it. The final scene is shown that the Pines family and everyone in Gravity Falls at his funeral. There is a post credit scene taking 30 years in the future where we see that Dipper is married and has kids as well as Mabel. Both of the Stans would be settled down at the Mystery Shack in a spare room. We see how everyone in Gravity Falls is doing in 30 years, including the kid in swim jail. He eventually gets out after the events of War of the Falls 2. One was the series finale. I would love a movie version of this

This is an awesome concept! I would so watch this. I have some of my own concepts too, though I won’t go into to much detail.
1. During a Spring Break visit, Gravity Fall’s Weirdness magnetism starts effecting Dipper and Mabel, altering reality in different ways that will force them to stay. And when they’re really close to figuring out the answer to everything, the days start to loop.
This movies theme is about letting the series go. Dipper and Mabel’s friends (aside from Gideon strangely, who accepts that they’re going to leave) and family missed them a lot more than they thought they would, and kinda trying anyway to convince Dipper and Mabel to stay. This, however, is he cause of Gravity Falls not letting Dipper and Mabel out.
It’s revealed Gravity Falls has gained a sort of Consciousness from the events of Weirdmaggedon, and has in silence grown attached to Dipper and Mabel, not wanting to let them go. It’s fed off of all the great memories Dipper and Mabel have had with everyone else, how much everyone wants them to stay.
This movie doesn’t end with a big battle or showdown, it ends with Dipper and Mabel getting through to Gravity Falls, and all of their friends that they’ll be back again. And no matter what, they won’t forget them. Ever.

We all know that even if Bill’s physical influence is restricted to the town, he used to have access to the Dreams of a whole planet’s worth of pawns/puppets/humans. We did claim that he’d be constantly observing the Pines & co, but Bill’s was (is still?) almost omnipotent. He defied the laws of reality; I’m sure he had more than one scheme going on at a time...
It’d also be ideal to avoid a simple retelling of Ford’s story.
No accidental summonings, or desperate attempts at gaining power or knowledge.

If Cipher were to ever return, there would have to be a new, unique & vastly different story to tie it all together.

I got the perfect idea for a Gravity Falls sequel! I worked on it for a while and am really proud of it! The basic idea is that it takes place five years after Gravity Falls' last episode airing date, which was 2016, making it 2021 when the story starts and is following a new group of kids coming across the three Journals, tossed around due to the Bottomless Pit's canon unpredictability which releases Bill Cypher onto the world again and brings major Gravity Falls characters Dipper and Mabel back into the Gravity Falls-like world and meeting up with older, changed characters! Dipper will be a mythologist, now obsessed with the supernatural even more, and Mabel will reveal to have gained PTSD from the Gravity Falls experience. The short version is that it focuses not only on a bunch of Gravity Falls characters meeting up again but also answering what I consider what Alex Hirsch meant when he made the canon statement that if Bill Cypher were to return it would be in a different form and a different time. It may or may not call back the theory that Bill is going to return through Great Uncle Stan's mind. I love the idea and throwing it to other Gravity Falls fans I know has made the sequel sound even better! It also has more risky moments like, for example, Gideon returning as an 18-year-old nicknamed "Big Gideon" in charge of his father's company, has taken over Gravity Falls as a town and putting 21-year-old Wendy out of her unsolved relationship with Robbie V and put under abusive labor, EVEN going so far she almost DIES! If I could, I would go through a LOT of the details in the story because it's so fun to hear and read because I'm writing books like this for real!
