I can't help but wonder what the people who live in those houses feel about the orientation of their homes constantly changing at the whims of a reality-warping motorway builder.
Jon, you don't need to put traffic lights at every junction. Since you can delete roads at no cost, why not start with the simplest, cheapest option, then add complexity to solve problems?
Well the freeways video is one of my favourites. Hope for similar insights. And roundabouts. ok, the game doesn't allow as much free-flowing Jon creativity. but he's always doing his best.

I realize that this would be a...marked...genre shift; but given the long history of urban planning where roads don't merely react to cities; but can be used to shape them, I'm a trifle disappointed that you can't use infrastructure to get rid of especially inconvenient neighborhoods; or maintain a success condition where some of the motorists are ridiculously neglected so long as enough of the others are really, really happy.
So I think that you should be able to block houses and businesses popping up on a certain place by placing a 'dead' road in the way. So anywhere there is a road.. there can't be a house. So you could make life easier (maybe) with this knowledge?

@@josepholiveira2873 Well, the game has to place the new homes and businesses "randomly" but only on empty spaces... so, if you lay down a long straight road, leave 2 squares, and another road parallel, then anything that pops up between, is automatically connected. then you don't have a row of 3 houses nice and straight and then the one off by one square. The indicators for new "buildings" seems too transient. The blinking unconnected buildings under the motorways is WAY too subtle. While Jon has always had a low perception stat; I can see why he misses some of these things, in this case.
