Out of all the videos I've seen, you sir explained how to remove the window railing best. Other videos only tell you have to remove it. I completed it, everything works. Thank you!
Such a helpful video saved me $200+ in labor. Ordered the part mentioned in the description and I installed it in about an hour and a half. Works flawlessly. Thanks a bunch
Thanks for the video. I just finished replacing the actuator in my car. If it wasn't for your video I would have been lost, gave up, and had to pay someone to replace this part. Thanks a bunch for saving me some $$$
Just want to give a thanks for this video. I used it today to replace the driver's side actuator in my 03 Accord. The video was excellent. I wish it could have shown the actual re-assembly of the actuator holder, but I managed to figure it out. In any event, great video! Saved me the cost of having it done at a shop.
Nice job on the replacement. You go at a nice pace that is easy to follow, and certainly know the process well. My only suggestion is to have somebody hold the camera for you to avoid the jiggling and skipped sequences. This would make this A+.
Thank you so much for making this video. I finally finished the replacement for an Acura TSX. The 3 door latch screws were very tight. I accidentally stripped two of them and had to use a Grabit screw extractor to get them out.
Nice and strong! I have to do mine soon. Thanks for taking the time to show us. It sucks to have to manually lock your door with two arms loaded down with groceries.
Thanks, I was able to use this video on your 2003 Honda Accord EX Coupe to figure out how to replace the driver side door actuator on my 2007 Honda Accord EX sedan. The rods for the key and door handle layout are different, but for the most part everything else was the same. Thanks again!
Just did this tonight on both doors. A piece of advice though, when u are removing the connector for the interior door latch be very careful not to break the tan colored plastic retainer on the wire. If u do...like I unfortunately did, your interior door latch won't work and you'll have to replace the part. Mine is ghetto rigged for now but is definitely going to need replaced. I don't feel like having to open my doors from the outside every time I want to get out :D
Thank you so much....the video was great.....replaced it and it works!!!....when you take off the metal plate on the latch....make sure that the parts are exactly as you take them off...or it will not work!....had to redo it once
and exactly how is that? I did both doors (they're kinda different lol) but the part where you open it doesn't catch right...is there another way to mount it? I mean, the hook can be moved (i don't know how to finish my thoughts. Just help me if you can
3 hours later mission success. Putting everything back together was a bigger pain in the ass than taking it apart. Impact driver was key. Getting the door latch mechanisms connected again to the door handle was a giant pain in the ass! next project installing auxiliary in factory stereo
I have had some diagnostics done and it appears it is most likely the "multiplex connector unit." This appears to be fairly expensive and maybe a little difficult because of so many connections. Any videos for this?
I had to insert a flathead screw driver between the linkage and the door handle assembly and rotate it to separate them (after rotating the plastic clips out of the way)
hello I am in the process of putting the gold harness back onto the accuator thingy and I am having an issue with securing the linkage cable. I hope I hear back from you soon.
FYI--- People before you buy the lock actuator look at the color of the actuator. MY 2003 has a white actuator. This was a problem as I didn't know that in the door it's different then the videos. I pulled up several actuator videos and never saw a white one. The white one has a cable swivel mount on it that the black one doesn't.
Does that actuator affect or contol all locks on the vehicle? All my doors will unlock but not lock via button or remote. It seems unlikely that all actuators would go out at the exact same time.
so i just installed the actuator and now it will unlock and lock but im hearing a sort of grinding noise when i lock it. only lasts for a second but its noticeable if your near the car. what did i do wrong?
No it doesnt, have you tried individual lock switch to see if same result? Have you tried unlocking/lock from pass? or is issue just from the master (driver switch). If you have power to all actuators up & down, then would have to say you have actuator failures.
m having the same problem on a 2005/Honda/Accord/Coupe EXL. Since this is such a common problems. Why hasn't Honda do a recalled and address/fix this problem?!? I just found out this is a problem that goes back all the way to 1990...
Hey, on my 03 Coupe, the door locks and unlocks manually, but the Remote Fob doesn't lock or unlock the car. The remote opens the trunk, and lights up when any button is pressed. Also when I press the Lock/Unlock, the Head and Tail lights light up as if it worked, but it doesn't. Anyone know about this issue or what the problem is??
I have the same problem with my '04 Accord. It could be related to the actuator, but folks on the Accord Forum say the MICU controls that, and it often fails and causes the problem. I found this video looking for an MICU replacement video. Apparently, the MICU is built into the fuse block on the driver's side inside the car. Not sure how you isolate between the MICU or the actuator mechanism though.
1st check to be sure fuse/s are ok, if ok then I would suggest pulling the panel & verify you have power to the actuator when lock or unlock button is pressed. If you have power then you have a failed actuator. The connector is 2 pins, pin 1 is + pos , pin 2 is - neg when the actuator is locking, its reversed when unlocking.
Hi great video, helped me a lot but something happened when I reinstalled it the latch does open but the lock actuator works. Anyone have this problem? How to unlatch the door? The panel is still off.

I appreciate your effort, but I got dizzy trying to watch as the camera was waving wildly around, plus, the real thing people need to see is HOW you put things back together. I understand that's very difficult to do one handed while holding the camera, but I feel the most important things people needed to see where cut out of the video while you stopped recording so you could use two hands.

Thank you for this great video! Able to get this fixed on my 2006 Accord and now my key less entry works again!!
Thanks dude, you just saved me $200 bucks and a valuable experience. SUCCESS!!!
Thank you! This helped me tremendously with my "stuck lock" and now it works!

Good instructional video. It took us a little bit but we got it, it works now. Thanks!
Thanks for doing this video. I just changed out my lock actuator using this video as reference.
Thank you so much this video helped me fix my actuator in my 04 accord coupe on the driver side as well! took me all of 20-30 minutes
Thank you for the detailed video! Just got mine replaced using it.

Thanks, Great Video! Fixed my drivers door.
thanks, what a nice video at the right time.i used the same presudare, every thing is fixed now.you saved me some bucks 🙏
Thanks for the vid. Looks like it's exactly the info I was looking for to fix the lock issue on my Mom's 2005 Accord LX. Excellent!
Very good video. I used it to change mine. Appreciate it!

really good video..... thank you
love how u explain all process

Thanks bro! I was able to fix min too! Not for the faint of heart lol.
I had to insert a flathead screw driver between the linkage and the door handle assembly and rotate it to separate them (after rotating the plastic clips out of the way)

Not sure what you mean but are you talking about the connector at the actuator? Or the linkage to the handle or door lock?
Sounds like a linkage issue, be sure all are connected properly at the lock & the cable housing is secure on the door panel.
I have a 4 door. Got all the way to removing the linkage and could not get them out. Any suggestions?
What specifically could not be removed? the linkage from the handle and the lock cylinder?
Great explanation, Thank you!
so i just installed the actuator and now it will unlock and lock but im hearing a sort of grinding noise when i lock it. only lasts for a second but its noticeable if your near the car. what did i do wrong?
does this work for the passenger too? thanks walk through!
What is the yellow cable name at 6:21? Thanks
That's the wiring harness
Dies this work for the 2004 4door accord?.... How much are actuators?
