Monk Synopsis: Adrian Monk (Emmy®-winner Tony Shalhoub) was once a rising star with the San Francisco Police Department, legendary for using unconventional means to solve the department's most baffling cases. But after the tragic and still-unsolved murder of his wife, Trudy, the devastated Monk becomes obsessive-compulsive. His psychological disorder has caused him to develop an abnormal fear of virtually everything: germs, heights, crowds... even milk. Monk's condition costs him his job, but he's back as a police consultant despite the unique challenges he encounters in his everyday life. These challenges lead Monk to hire a personal nurse, Sharona Fleming (Bitty Schram), who is always there to offer her assistance, even with the simplest of tasks (like organizing his sock drawer). Her less-than-subtle prodding keeps the "defective detective" on track in his investigations, as well as in his efforts to convince Captain Stottlemeyer (Ted Levine) to allow him to return to the force.
The Official Channel devoted to the brilliance of DI Adrian Monk; the defective San Franciscan detective, whose OCD is both a blessing and a curse. We'll be posting the very best moments from the show so, like Monk, you'll never miss a beat.

Its super weird to see Sean Astin play a villain
This is what would've happened if Sam kept the Ring.
...Or maybe this is what happened to Mikey after finding the Rich-Stuff.
I know, he usually plays such friendly and wholesome characters.
@@GanonGhidorah there's also Dave if he achieved total popularity as planned with having the caveman be his wingman.
he played another villain in b99 as a guy trying to hack the NYPD computers
DIDN'T REALIZE IT WAS SAM OH!
Natalie's parents? You mean the guy's parents
Great episode of Monk
Indeed
This is wild. I literally just started watching this episode and this video showed up in my feed during the opening theme song
watching all the way from the Bahamas
Samwise Gamgee!
OMG, not her parents.
Fun fact: Traylor Howard (Natalie) was actually pregnant during filming season 5 of Monk
Anyone who isn't blind can see that. Her baby bump is very well visible in a lot of scenes and they did a lot of the typical hiding stuff such as carrying boxes, purses, coats or holding a clipboard.
@@lisvanaI never noticed lol
Uh, YEAH? It’s blatantly obvious.
N me diga
An angry boyfriend and a baby bump don't scare him off, he's been through the gates of Mordor and the fires of Mount Doom.
He looked at Natalie's fingers and saw there wasn't the one true ring on them, an engagement ring, so there still time to wed her.
He also found out that the inheritance would be worth enough to save his old hometown, the Goon Docks, from being torn down and made into a golf course. And that was why he was so greedy and wanted that inheritance so bad.
@jonathansmith8672 and yet, he would still struggle in high school. It took "the missing link" of a caveman to get him on the map, but it would just be HIM (the caveman) that would get the attention, thus the angry boyfriend still not landing Natalie.
Wait, Natalie's parents didn't die. Her parents' neighbor's died tho
Even Monk looked a bit surprised at his warning shot kill.
*Natalie's parents neighbors
Neighbor's parents
Exactly!
*Parents neighbors Natalie's
@@Greendalewitch lol
Thank you! I swear people don't know how to properly title videos anymore. Lol
It was her neighbor's parents, not her own parents
Man, Samwise really became nasty once Frodo left with the elves.
Poor Sean Austin. Didn't he know that murder begets murder? It can really turn into a bad Hobbit... I mean habit.
It’s actually Buchanan’s parents. A year before he killed his butler, he discovered his father died of a heart attack, then he set the stage to make it seem like his step mother died before his father. He knows the laws of inheritance that if his father died first, his step mother’s children would have the house and the money, which would have left him nothing. The only Contradiction we noticed was the phone reception, and that’s what troubled Natalie and Monk since they went to check out the scene of the staged accident. The only problem Buchanan had was that his Butler knew the truth of his parents’s accident when he found out those blackmail letters he burned in the fireplace. He was safe, until Natalie showed up. 💼 [*Case Closed*]
It's inexcusable for the official Monk YT channel to publish this video under that name. Have they ever even seen the show? Absolute joke.
@@encycl07pedia- It’s a Mishap title. I’m sure they watched it, they just overlooked their clip scene publication. In fact, this wasn’t the only mishap video they published.
@@cornelius2227 Mishap title? Is English your second language? Yeah, this never happens on the show. It doesn't matter what clip they showed: this title would NEVER be accurate.
The fact that they've done it more than once is further proof that the person(s) running this channel needs to be fired.
@@encycl07pedia- Fired from uploading clips for free, of a show that finished airing 14 years ago? Calm down buddy
@@magaman49 No. They should be fired for screwing up the titles and descriptions for events that never happened in the show. I can't stress this enough: THIS NEVER HAPPENED IN THE SHOW! It's not like they uploaded the wrong file. They literally don't know enough about the show to title the video properly. They just aren't able to do their job.
It's like a singer not knowing the lyrics to their own song. It's like a pilot who doesn't know how to get a plane to take off. It's like a bus driver driving the wrong way on a one way street. They have one job!
Anyone can (and many have) uploaded Monk clips for free with better titles.
*Monk Solves the Death of Natalie's Parents*
Might want to change the title there.
Sometimes Monk has almost psychic abilities but deductive reasoning and pattern recognition will often appear that way😅
The USA show "Psych" was based on that very premise
"I'm not going to ask you again."
"Thank you, sir."
Get it right...NOT Natalie's parents!
A wellness check was made for Natalie's parents. They were perfectly fine. They were understandably bewildered by the sudden news of their daughter's impending pregnancy. Everything made sense once it was explained, more or less.
"Impending pregnancy?"
Thank the comments for letting me know the title is wrong. I was going crazy.
Honestly, I kind of feel bad for the guy. His father made no assurances that his own son would be taken care of if something happened to him. And it's clear that his Stepmother and Stepsisters didn't think too much of him, given that he was confident they would _cut him out completely._
I'm not saying the son deserved to get _all of it,_ but he was the only one biologically related to the man. By rights that entitles him to something, if not the most _sizable portion._
To me he looked like an adult functional person, perfectly capable of working and earning a life for himself. Maybe not to maintain the lifestyle he was used to, with butlers and all the like (but hey, if he killed them then he should not have them).
In many cuntries this would make no sense beause children are by law entitled to inherit. Doesn't matter whether the parent was married or not or re-married or not. I don't know about inheritance laws in wherever this takes place, but I wouldn't be suprised if the idea that the guy would be left with nothing just wasn't accurate.
Monk, you can boil them, mash them, put 'em in a stew!
Natalie's parents didn't die! Paul Buchanan's father died from a heart attack, then he murdered his stepmother.
Heres what happened you staged your stepmoms death just so you would inherit money
Clearly the guy uploading these has never seen an episode
Money is necessary but it’s not important… in that it’s not what matters most in life
My family isn’t loaded by any stretch but they’ve managed to do alright all things considered
If my folks decided that I’d biffed it way too many times to trust me with a piece when they go, and instead leave it all to my sister, then that’s what happens.
I’m neither owed anything nor entitled to anything
My mom once “threatened” (she was joking) that maybe she’ll take what money she has one day and blow it all on scotch and Chippendale’s, to which I said “do it; it’s your money… but I think you’d get more out of it if you spent it all traveling”
She disagreed
Either way it’s not mine. Would it be helpful if she thought to leave a little something-something? Of course, but I’m not banking on it, nor should I
exactly that, you just make your own - be it barely enough or more that enough. Dad gone without inheritance that goes specifically for me but that's that. He raised me to be independent & always learning to make my own living...
"Who are you" Natalie "This is Adrain Monk, my boss"
Adrain?
@@encycl07pedia-somehow managing to get the line out of order while also butchering the spelling of his name, that's impressive
So Sean Astin went from leading his gang on a treasure hunt, to becoming a hobbit trying to destroy the ring, and now to a rich boy murdering his own parents over inheritance? Dang! 😳😲😯
It was the treasure hunt, then unearthing a caveman, THEN becoming a hobbit.
Fun Fact: Natalie’s actress was actually pregnant during the second half of the season, so they made this episode to work around the problem
“Sam Weiss Gangy”
“I ain’t dropping no ease sir”
eaves*
You mean Samweis Gamgee?
Natalie's parents did not die. what the heck? why would someone write that on this "official" channel?
Sam would play a great villan
I'm disappointed in the Monk TH-cam Channel, this is not at all what happened in the episode.
Wrong parents 😭😭😭 LOL
Monk isn't really a flexible person. He is quite stubborn with his OCD condition it is up to the tenth.
You are aware the OCD literally has the word obsession in it... and for a reason
He was solving the murders of "Pauls'" parents, not Natalies...
i just love Monk he's awesome
The title on your clip is wrong please correct it.
not natalies parents,chage the description
I was SO confused by the clickbait title....
The killer perhaps as clever as Monk. Maybe even more clever. He figured out what must be done and in what order in a matter of a few seconds. And it took Monk the entire episode to discover it... And the "here is what happened" was just saying something... not proof...
The title had me confused lol
The title is killing me
Not Natalie's parents please know your information before posting
And the stepmothers plan to inherit everything almost succeeded if it wasnt for the sons greed being bigger than hers
Please tell me it is not too late for those taking offense at the structure of the title to take a remedial English class.
Samwise Gamgee is a long way from the Shire
1:03 check out the background on the right
what is the episode number
WAIT. THOSE WERE NATALIE'S PARENTS??????
No. Someone made a typo
A few seconds after this ends, Natalie's parents show up.
@@rahbeeuh It's not a typo. It's throughout the entire freaking title, description, everything. This video title is a scam.
😮
1:28
I just noticed this synopsis error is on the Google search for this ep as well...might wanna fix that 😅
2:54- don't you just love how Hollywood adds fake gun sound effects that make no sense?
I'm not sure if that was to make us belive he was closing the action on an already closed action or spinning a lever action on a break open shotgun.
I thought it was a new episode. Lol... "Natalie's parents"
Inheriting Bag End really sent Sam down a dark path.
Astin also played a really believable creep on My Name Is Earl. He’s good!
It's jungle out there😂
My fav part 😂😂😂
Natalie’s parents were at the wedding of her brother.
Natalie looks nothing like her parents...
Evil kid and its all about the money.
Clickbait! 😏
Monk has no idea how wills work. Her kids would not automatically inheret anything
In california, it's legal to leave children out of the will. If the spouse is in the will and the child is not and the parent dies first, then the child will get nothing.
If there is no will, the child (and adopted children) get a share and the spouse gets a share (which would pass tho their children).
However, community property ( such as a house or car purchased during the marriage) would go to the spouse.
So for monk's statement to be true, the wife was in the will as getting everything and the murderer was not in the will. However- if the wife died first, then the murderer would get everything (as Monk said).
So Natalie's parents were murdered by their son and Natalie refused to go with him to the prom.
Why did he ask his sister to the prom?
Nah I think person posting the video just made a mistake, it's the guy's parents not Natalie's (her's are in the episode though)
