I’ve never driven a KW cabover. One of my favorite shows was BJ & the Bear & Movin On! I’ve driven a T2000. May need to change that. I’ve loved cabovers since I was a kid...my dad owned a K100, about a 69 model. I loved it so much that I managed, at 5 years old, to climb up in it and took a nap. The truck burned down to the frame not long after that.😒 Cabovers have a SPECIAL place in my heart...there’s just something about them that I find radically cool! They sit up high, they’re different/rare and they show off their colors so well! God bless all of our truckers! 🤩
O-H-I-O Porters shout Happy 2024🇺🇸 Cabovers Rule! These are some smokin hot cabovers! I still haven’t driven a K100 but hope to do so some day. Blessings! 🥰😎✌️
Curt Ekstrom 🇺🇸 Now that sounds like a good truck. Got pics? Love cabovers! 🥰 I get all excited when I see one out on the road...even been known to flip around, chase em down just to get some pictures of them. I own an old Walmart IH. 🥰
I miss the aerodynes, I spent many miles with my dad in those cab-overs. I miss the early mornings sitting on the doghouse munching my breakfast as we went down the road. Of course, I watched the highways many times through the upper windows.
The biggest advantage of the cabover is in overall length. They have a small door,to the right of the grille for checking your oil,and topping it up,the rad on a KW is under a flip up hatch the KW emblem is on.The KW K100E is my personal favourite, and I wish they would bring them back,I'd buy one.
My first truck was a cabover Freightshaker, 350cummins, 9 speed,127 in. cab..air ride....loved that big dog box between seats and short shifter.... miss that ol' truck, made some good money,, fuel was .92 cents then also..lol..
Stanley Baker 🇺🇸 It’s a love/hate relationship with cabovers as it is. The mentality of big trucks is that we think that they need to have to shift 10, 13, 15, 18 gears...I think it’s cool to have automatics. I’ve only driven automatic Ryder trucks, never a semi truck with automatic. My oldest brother bought a Peterbuilt cabover just because it had automatic...and LOVED it, especially on the western runs.🥰
@@Rollercoaster555 🇺🇸Amen! I’ve been stuck in plenty of ditches & got out by rocking the truck. You can’t do that very effectively in an automatic. I agree that you have more & better control in a stick. Maybe I’m a little Old School, but I can see some applications where an automatic would be rather sweet. Gearing is always more important from my experience.🥰🤩✌️
@baggu250 easy know you never drove one ,i have a 1980 k100 and i would not like to swap my v8 scania for it everyday.the kw looks the part but the steering lock is bad.
I check my oil, water and washer fluid thru my board computer in my dash display. I dont get my hand dirty , plus in Europe some companies you wouldnt be able to turn with your bullnose. You would make a fool of yourself .

I own the 86" Aerodyne at 1.52! It's here in the UK being restored.
I don't see many cabover semi trucks out on the roads anymore like I used to back in the day.
Most are to old. Companies will not hire them.
i love those k100 areodynes....
@Rozlelous1165 that's a kw Bullnose. They made them from the late 50's/early 60's. Not 100% on the years, but that is a bullnose.

@jimmi0776 hm, often they get crushed by the load they were hauling.
Only if you don't know what you are doing.
What do you think of semi trucks going automatic ?

Why did they make the capovers, but then put em on a chassis that is almost as long as one of a conventional tractor? >> 00:57

You won't see many fools in a bullnose.now. They were used sixty years ago.
I dont care for cabovers taht much. Give me a Peterbilt 379 instead (cant believe they only made 1000 if those)
