as a United fan, I am SO jealous of Arsenal right now for being able to get rid of their unwanted manager, while there doesn't seem to be a rock bottom low enough for our club to fire Marc Skinner. Lucky, lucky Arsenal. Enjoy your freedom, Arsenal fans!
@@For_Cruyff_Sake putting players out of their natural/preferred position, picking his favourites, producing eyesore football, not knowing how to integrate new players into his "system" properly, not taking accoutability and throwing players under the bus when we inevitably lose to the Big Three. We are good enough to beat teams in the bottom half of the WSL but we aren't good enough to qualify for the UWCL or contend for the league title anymore. Thats why the majority of United fans want him gone but he has kept his job.
It looks as though the interim coach is playing Blackstenius ahead of Russo. Not a good starting decision on her part. If she uses those two as starts/substitutes then she's no better than her predecessor. She should use them both.
I would rather see Casey Stoney back at Manchester United than at Arsenal cause Skinner is still on thin ice with the supporters after the disaster that was last season
I am a supporter of Arsenal and its obvious that Jonas had lost the dressing room and so it was best he goes. But most of the fans are so blinkered it makes me laugh. Why no criticism of the forwards who cant shoot straight to save their lives. 41 chances in two games hardly any on target and 1 goal. Thats not the managers fault. Start actually doing what you are paid for
Im gonna throw my 2 cents here: 1) Thierry Henry, arsenal legend, coach under 23 france men's team to olympic bronze this summer 2) twila kilgore, Gold Cup champion and SheBelieves champion 3) Carla Ward, she's been on vacation long enough, olympics over what else she up to now
As I already said, it was time for Jonas to go. He definitely tried his best, but 2 Conti-Cup titles is simply too little for a club like Arsenal with such a squad. Tommy Stroot might be an option. He wanted to leave Wolfsburg at the end of last season, but surprisingly decided to stay. At the moment though, he seems to have a tough time at Wolfsburg, although Wolfsburg just a few days ago ended Bayern München's 44 undefeated Bundesliga matches streak. Another option for Arsenal would be to stay with Renee Slegers with whom Arsenal just won in the Champions League against Vålerenga Oslo 4:1.
Hello Sarah and Sara. Now that Ian Wright has teamed up with Steph Houghton to do a TH-cam channel, I wondered if she might apply for the job? The men took a manager who came from Manchester City and they like the style of play he brought.
I felt the graffiti was a bridge too far. Criticisms were warranted of course. Wasn't feeling him from the jump, but that felt a little cruel and not so kind. Like let's keep it classy. But onward, Gunners! New chapter!
he resigned, a mutual decision (sure), like how arsenal and viv mutually(sure) parted ways. sigh. imagine viv declining lucrative offers from psg and barca and resign with arsenal just because she wanted to win trophies with arsenal. and after being injured fighting for said throphies, under his watch mind you, they just left her by the side of the curb. They could at lease offer her a token contract renewal instead of just showing her the door.
I'm sad actually. It's true that he didn't treat Viv well but who wants to be judged by their worst moments. Results have not been great but I don't think he made any obvious terrible mistakes. I don't think a new coach will fix things, but maybe I'm wrong. The main problem is the strikers not converting the many chances they create. I think Russo has been great recently but she's never been a deadly finisher, nor Blackstenius. When they're at the Emirates there's more pressure, then they miss chances, they get nervous, start to make mistakes at the back too because there's more pressure to keep a clean sheet. Not sure a new coach changes that. The only really reliable finishers at the top level in Europe are Diani, Payor, Alexia, Ada, CGH, Bunny, Viv (who actually hasn't looked great this season yet), and maybe Daly. Even Kerr and Paralluelo miss a lot of chances (although they both score goals out of nothing to balance that up). Maybe Mariona as a false nine might work... let's see what happens.
@GuyJames Jonas obvious mistake was that he made the players fit around his gameplan rather than come up with a gameplan to fit the playing styles of his players. Russo came from United, a team who's playing style is quick passes up the middle and passing through the backline with Russo timing her run to receive the ball. Jonas now has Russo mainly receiving crosses in the box but she is not a header monster while Arsenal midfield is not savvy enough to do quick passes and drive up the middle. Only Pelova took on players and drive up the middle. They usually shuffle the ball to the flanks and occasionally you have Frida taking a shot from outside the box. Jonas wanted Viv to do what Frida does but she naturally runs into the box while also doing midfield pivot. He didn't like Viv as a 9 because she wasn't staying IN the box like a 9 or standing shoulder to shoulder with the backline timing her runs into the box. She went and helped out the midfield ...which mean someone else have to do striker duties to cover and Foord and Meado stayed in the wings so.....instead of coaching wingers for a solution, he just couldn't figure out how to fit Viv into the gameplan and break up the royal lesbian couple of the WSL 🤣
it's nothing but witch hunting,he led arsenal to back to back conti cup wins by beating chelsea in both finals.under his time arsenal got to semi of the uwcl which they hadn't achieved for over a decade and he was the most successful manager after emma hayes in wsl but just because some people's favorite player left and he doesn't start fan favorite russo in every match even though her goal conversion ratio is poor they came after him but if you watched his last match arsenal played far better than chelsea, his tactics didn't let chelsea play their usual game and arsenal conceded two goal because of abysmal defending and finishing was extremely poor but yeah blame the manager
@@clayjackson5352 He didn't succeed in the trophies that count. The WSL eluded him, as did the Champions League. They became the third best side behind Man City, rather than the one challenging Chelsea for the top. I consider Matt Beard to be a better coach, having taken Liverpool from relegation to the fourth best club, without the money and star players Arsenal enjoyed. Then there was the Miedema fiasco. After letting her go, he couldn't afford a bad start to the season, but that's what happened and Arsenal's chance for the League cup are virtually over already.
I feel like current ownership want a male Coach. Tommy Stroot is Wolfsburg Coach. He is amazing. I don't see him leaving Wolfsburg in the middle of the season
HEADPHONE WARNING! about 7:05 i should have turned the volume down at that part!! Sorry about that!!

@michaelbirch5270 so what is Skinner doing that's wrong

Viv was way bigger than him, did he really think they would play for him after she went.

You’ve not been on Twitter recently… the forwards have been ripped apart on there

I'm thinking about that too
It´s so so sad...
players all looked jaded (said my arsenal fan friend) they have to ask the questions to themselves

I totally agree but I doubt Viv would have accepted a token contract because she wants to play and Jonas didn’t want to play her 😢.
Kelly shes played for the club she knows the players and shes a winner and get alex scott in as well
viv has just been on a team that beat barca , why would she worry !!
stroot has just extended at wolfsburg
Good luck in your new role Jonas... is it true Totteringham are already sniffing around him??

And Pernille Harder
@@michEjo-j4l yes I should have remembered her, given what she did to Arsenal just the other day

Carla Ward would be my number 1 but also would it be possible to poach Matt Beard?
Tony Gustafson the former Matilda's coach would be a superb fit
Well Tony is also a Swede. Will you accept him....hmm😟😁
God no, if we get Tony I will refuse to watch. He has not shown he is fit to coach and win at the highest level at all.
what about kelly smith , that would really be a dream
Non so scivere in inglese ma voglio dire che questo allenatore del Arsenal nonostante vale niente
❤
🎉🎉🎉🎉
arsenal would have lost against chelsea anyway
Who will be the clueless GM probably Male that hires Mark Parsons
