I think judging how every player and staff and fan was in tears for Viv's last game, the Miedema decision has had deeper impact on tbe team. They don't like him. They beat hacken because they were playing for themselves and didn't want to be out of champions league but no Viv for the season is depressing them. For the Everton draw...his crappy coaching really shows when his 2 wingers and fullbacks are playing so close together when we all know you have to play with width to stretch out a low block. They only got width when Foord was fullback even though she would be more effective as a winger up front.They keep playing ineffective short corners and Everton was always 1st to their crosses. Maanum was gassed by 60th minute and should have been subbed out for Kafaji but he wanted minutes for defenders and defensive midfielder Walti against a 12th place team that was barely able to attack. Embarrassing could not even begin to cover the draw with Everton. Arsenal and City were given the bottom table teams as softball warm up to champions league but arsenal choose to fumble and be the wsl laughingstock. I hope they waste this season as that will be the only way to replace Jonas, who spends 500k for Russo, big money for caldentey and kafaji and van domeselaar and Foxy but buckled at the 12th team in the league who suffered 2 ACL to their star players.

The problem with Arsenal is even if you have the best players, the coach is the problem because his play style plan don't work. You can buy the best players but if the coach is lousy, Arsenal are not going to win The coach don't instill the players with the best technique and game plan and cannot win against other top teams whose attacking style are formidable.

Again Arsenal were lucky against Leicester recently they made a mistake and Arsenal capitalised or it could very well of been a three draw start to the campaign. I didn't watch the Everton game but these are the games that you have to win if want to win WSL titles no doubt. As I said in a previous post that a lot of WSL teams that you would say call mid to low table are investing more in players, coaches and infrastructure so margins of victory against some may not be as wide as before or in certain cases. Credit to Everton for a getting a point. Arsenal I love them but with the quality of the team should be doing a lot better. Jonas has a tricky week ahead with the two see what happens. Arsenal should have smashed Everton. They don't look good on the pitch and the team doesn't look happy. They have some of the best players in the world but their coach leaves a lot to be desired.

On the one hand it's still early in the season, but dropping 4 points in the first 2 home matches isn't a very promising start. The problem with Jonas is that he seemingly hasn't yet found the best mix with such an awesome roster, unlike Sonja Bompastor, Gareth Taylor or Marc Skinner. Maybe the Champions League match on Wednesday will be one of Jonas's last chances with Arsenal. Bayern is definitely a difficult team to play against, Although Bayern won all of its 5 Bundesliga matches so far, it still only beat struggling FC Colgne last weekend 1:0. Congratulations to Orlando Pride for winning the NWSL Shield after such a convincing seasion so far. Would be great if Marta would be able to win the championship before ending her career, just like Ali Krieger did it last year.
I went to Brighton v Aston Villa on Saturday and Arsenal v Everton on Sunday and the obvious difference between the two was how much the Brighton team enjoyed playing their home game and what a happy occasion it was, but how joyless the Arsenal team looked in their game. There were ten times as many fans at the Emirates and you'd think the Arsenal players would be thrilled to be part of the game - playing for Arsenal in front of tens of thousands of fans at the Emirates should surely have been living the dream for a lot of them, but there was no joy in their play at all. We can only speculate as to why - whether it's the manager, the pressure they've put on themselves to win the title this season, or another reason. The team is full of winners - World Cup winners, European Championship winners, an Olympic gold medallist - and exciting players but they did seem lost for ideas and creativity. Obviously, something is wrong. The season is fresh and only just beginning and all the top teams drop points on occasion, but why did they appear so despondent on what could have been a thrilling afternoon full of exciting football but became a bit of a miserable day? Maybe we'll find out sometime down the line.

It seems like for years, the Gunners do well against top teams, but the lower teams they sometimes do well against but sometimes they struggle against them. This makes sense on some level as a former competitor myself, it sounds odd but when yr at a certain top level & you face opposition which pales in comparison, it's sometimes just hard to adjust. Better opposition you rise to the occasion, they bring out the best in you. it's the thrill of the fight but against mid tier talent level it's hard to transform yr top form down to their style of play. Does that make any sense? But they consistently show up against top opposition. This inconsistency reflects a crack in the mentality. True top of the podium champions consistently beat ALL the teams. Chelsea have done this much better every season, and that's why they're consistently champs. You can have blips here & there of course, no one team can win every single game, but Chelsea only loses to the other top 4 squads & thats only rarely. That's why they have been the champs, & why Arsenal always just falls a wee bit short. And then of course, there's the Jonas factor. (I'm not a fan, haven't been since the jump)

I keep saying how they are like 1970s Leeds United men, all stars and few trophies. They look like they will need Bayern Munich to play in their Oktoberfest dresses and get caught in their bows. That would be something to watch at the Emirates.
Jonas has to go ! But it is the management above him who has got things wrong by allowing him to stay and choose players that he is unable to fit into and effective team. He has top players and does not get the best out of them. He is stubborn which from the outside looks like is causing problems. The selling of Miedema because she questioned his tactics, the constant playing of Stiena who can not pass the ball, is ineffective at closing down, has very little football intelligence (makes stupid runs), means the team is playing with 10 players. Zinnsberger thinks she is an outfield player and makes too many silly errors. I can not believe Kelly Smith is being allowed by Jonas to develop the attacks because only Frieda takes shots, too much short passing around the box and crosses that do not find one of the team. The Transition from defence to attack looks pretty, lots of passing, but is way too slow and predictable. Caitlin needs to be told to be less physical and use her skills, Katie should not be Full back she is too good as a winger. Kim looks a shadow of the player she was last year. Hurtig is the biggest waste of money,

Jonas wants the team to play with quick short passing through transition, which they do but he has no style for defence or attack. I have never seen our defence so vulnerable as it is now and players are not taking enough shots, too many crosses to opposition players.
Who is Jonas sleeping with to keep his job, because you cannot repeatedly do this badly and with this much funds for a club like Arsenal and remain an employee without some other shenanigans going on to help him keep his job.

Jonas wants the team to play with quick short passing through transition, which they do but he has no style for defence or attack. I have never seen our defence so vulnerable as it is now and players are not taking enough shots, too many crosses to opposition players.
