So much I could comment on, but no surprise Ian and Steph said it better.
I commented elsewhere last year that I thought Manchester United would have tried to sign Asisat Oshoala as a forceful striker. They have moved on and got someone to find the back of the net.
I saw Blanchard in the pre season shows and she was obviously confident. I had seen her for England junior women's teams, but she will need that if Palace are to get results.

Been watching this show from the beginning and i just love how there is finally a Women's football podcast to listen to and catch ups as well. Its such a joyful watch and listen. Keep up the good work both of you!
I do find it weird that I've rarely seen Chloe Kelly play as well, especially as her performance vs Paris FC 2nd leg was very good. Also, seems her, Hemp and Shaw just strikes fear into many teams, i feel her absence has taken some sting out of City's attack as well. Wish we were able to at least get a point against City as we did perform well, but just that City resilience is just too good as always.

I think Steph knows Arsenal's deficiencies very well having been a player in WSL not long back . The Arsenal players are not getting close the opposition players and sometimes standing a couple of feet back yet playing a high line is a systemic and tactical flaw.

Olivia Smith is already World Class. Along with Höbinger, Nagano and Enderby, Liverpool are on the right path. However, the club need to start getting it right in the transfer market even spending the big money. Since coming back to the WSL we didn’t sign Alexandri, Hasgawa, Fishel, Macario, Terland, Bizet, Roord, Meidema, Gayse, Le Tissier, Lyzell etc… if we’re ever going to get back to playing Champions League or Club World Cup then that’s what we need.

Well done Ian you have mentioned about Blanchard she is an amazing talent for Palace. Yes ian Wright even though I'm still vex with you for putting on that dress or skirt I agree with you saying arsenal have no pace upfront. Soon manager's in the WSL are going to start thinking like the managers in the mens game and start bringing black players with very fast pace to use them as an attacking fret, at the moment we don't really see much black players in the WSL but it's going to change soon.

Absolutely love this show. Ian and Steph the perfect duo. How can the brilliant footballer Steph be equally as brilliant and eloquent at this as well? Perfection.
Lionesses squad -Why is Poppy Pattinson the brilliant Brighton left back not in the squad? She is in brilliant form and with Charles out we have no left back yet again. Are we going to crowbar yet another right footed player in to left back again? Carter? 8 defenders picked and only Greenwood is left footed!!!
Blanchard unfortunately will not get in squad as regardless of form she plays for Palace and small team players do not get the hype the big team players.
I have to confess Sarina is losing my support because the squad is virtually cut and paste now with what looks like a closed door to younger in form players unless they play for big clubs.
Why does Sarina never drop big names out of form players?
Ian you are 100% right about getting a player into the squad to have a look at them, but Baggaley should have been called in when Earps was injured and Roebuck was out last season just to have a look at her, but Sarina chose to reduce the no. of goalkeepers in the squad down to 3 instead of 4 and then in the next squad called up a Championship keeper at the same time saying Blanchard was not being looked at as she was not playing in the WSL and they need squad players to be playing at the highest level!!
The young players are not going to get any experience before the next world cup campaign starts.
The young attacker that England have and hopefully will start playing at Palace soon is Poppy Pritchard. She is the real deal.
For me the England starting line up should be:
    Hampton
Layzell or Le Tissier Morgan Greenwood Pattinson ( as Charles is injured )
    Williamson Walsh
    Park
    ABJ Russo Hemp
(Front 3 can all interchange position in game )
But we know it will be
    Hampton
    Bronze Williamson Bright Carter
    Stanway Walsh
    Toone or James
    Mead Russo Hemp

I agree with most of what you say.
      Where I disagree:
      1. double pivot of Williamson and Walsh as they have the same attributes. They are basically the same type of player. I'd rather pair Walsh with a box to box type of player with great technical ability and a neck for scoring goals. Clinton might be suitable for that role.
      2. James should always be starting whether as a RW or a number 10. Can't bench the player with the highest ceiling in team.

    • @EdmondDantesTyler
      @EdmondDantesTyler 17 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

@@davidkunhai4475 Fair enough. I think Park is the better link with midfield and attack so Williamson can spray her passes about creating chances and help Walsh and in fact free up Walsh more. These two together would form a better more fluid defensive barrier for the back four as we are exposed on regular occassions with the sytstem and players we have at the moment. Clinton is still learning the game whereas Williamson has played this role with Little on many occasions and is better in midfield than defence.
Regarding LJ she is truly a once in a generation talent but I would pick Park ahead of her at the moment purely down to current form. We can agree to differ?

@EdmondDantesTyler. I commented before elsewhere that the TV audience expect to see the Lionesses that they saw in the Euros and World Cup. The FA need them to play to keep the occasional viewer having player recognition to grow the game. I watch England junior women's teams and the potential they have will start to conflict with needing to play the star players to get ratings and grow the game.
I reckon Emma Hayes should have played Aggie Beever-Jones more last year. I commented at the start of last season that they would need her to get experience for the end of the season big games. I think this might have been better for England and Chelsea might have won UCL.
It might need England to be knocked out of the Euros for the younger players to come through.
On a similar theme I have been comparing Arsenal women's star team to 1970s Leeds United men for over a year. I am surprised the manager did not leave sooner.

The comments about what's going on with Beth are disappointing and a missed opportunity to address the abuse of certain players on social media. To say that a player shouldn't look at comments on social media is to completely miss the point of the conversation, we're not talking about people criticizing a player's performance, we're talking about people sending death threats to a player.
