@@goldencyclone4984 I mean she does have reason to go to the cops. Literally when they show up let the crazy aunt try and explain how the twins did everythinggggg of the damage. Then ask her infront of the cop how they damaged parts of the wall and furniture they couldn’t even reach or have the strength to break/tear?? Physically and literally impossible, catch her in a lie then have the cops file a criminal complaint of damages. Take her to small claims court if the damage is less than a thousand if it’s more you can actually take her to civil court and she’s screwed as the requirement of evidence to make a conviction in civil court is mucccccch less than a criminal suit.

I've never had kids, but bein' as how I'm a woman 'n' all, I've heard tales from friends and family. I can't imagine going through non-stop hours of that kind of *work* (remember, there's a reason it's called "labor") with full makeup intact, especially without an epidural. What, the MIL didn't pop a single bead of sweat during her son's birth? My gracious -- when I go to evening patio parties to the summer, half my makeup melts off in the first hour! Although yes, what OP said is harsh. It absolutely is something that needs to be said. Cause that behavior, with therapy, and potential meds (depending on if its caused by a mental health disorder) can be fixed. And the sister needs to be the one to take that step.

What if she didnt have a phone and couldnt find somewhere to live? What if she couldnt find a homeless shelter? What if she couldnt find the police to help out? What if she was forced to rely on neighbors that may or may not take advantage of her? I'm sure there are good neighbors who mean well, but theres always a risk!
Its just pure and plain nonsense that has no business happening. Also, the parents are clearly just dumb savages who can't stand down and admit fault for anything, they have NO right whatsoever to be angry, that's not where they stand, they're the bad guys and their role is to either accept they were wrong and apologize, or screw off.

Last story (Lily kicked out at 18):
I have always been fiercely independent, and I moved out from my parents home a little after my 16th birthday (entirely my decision). To this day (I'm in my forties) I know without a shadow of a doubt that if the proverbial hit the fan, my parents or my wife's father would put a roof over my family's head, and make sure we are fed and supported.
Parenting 101, support your children, don't hold them back, but be there to catch them if they fall.
I'm very lucky. There are far too many parents like Lily's, who decide that their responsibility stops when their child hits 18.

    Can't understand that first guy.
For my wife I don't even remember looking at my phone even though we were in the delivery room for about 10 hours, only time I "relaxed" a bit is when I was asked to leave the room when they would actually make the epidural. Although I think I had a portable game console with me and a couple of books just in case as we knew it could take quite a long time, my little boy was really not wanting to get out of the comfy room he had inside (we were 4 days after the due date).

I'm actually upset that the MIL didn't receive a butthole score as well, because that's like one of the most disrespectful things to do and say to a woman in labour "Oh, you're not looking good enough while you're in pain, pushing a child out" and yes, giving the husband 4/5 for not supporting her is fine, but I think the unwarranted facetime DURING birth with the MIL that was initiated by him (why even facetime ffs?), adds a whole other level of disrespect. I was in labour for 23h when I had my first daughter and during the whole time, my husband just patiently stayed with me and held my hand, letting go when I asked him to, because I couldn't stand to be touched anymore because of the pain. He just turned off his phone completely and tbh if he'd have had the gall to not just accept a call from his mum, but facetime her AND let her see me while I'm in pain, and on top of that just let her make insulting remarks in my direction, that would have been instant divorce material for me.

I say that, because not only did she intentionally destroy all of the stuff of her sisters, but she didn't bother cleaning any of it up. She just left it there as a message like a "hey look what I did to you" instead of a "oh shit look what I did oh my God I'm so sorry". She purposefully made her sister and newborn feel unsafe in their home. That's premeditated crazy, and that's the scary part.

Second story: As a sufferer of psoriasis (think an autoimmune version of eczema), 3.5 wasn't enough. Without the oral steroids, that flare-up (severe enough for hospitalization) would easily be cracked, oozing, bleeding, and possibly even infected with Impetigo or Staph. Eczema is no joke when it requires steroids for treatment, and even less so when those steroids could have prevented the skin lesions that caused her to be hospitalized in the first place.
OP's boyfriend is lucky all she did was lock up her skincare stuff; she could've had him arrested for theft and possibly under prescription theft laws.
As an aside, the oral steroids may not "make him buff at the gym (couldn't even *type* that with a straight face)," but they do have the possible side effect of causing roid rage.

I would go full Scorched Earth on their careers, their reputations, their livelihoods, everything. All their dirty laundry I can lawfully expose would be out there for the worpd to know, and I would not care one bit if I was an asshole for going that far. Apparently my dad got flack for having me leave the nest at 20 (cause he was that age when he started on his own). However, he gave me several months notice to look for a job, and a savings to use for rent. He still has my back, while I'm in my 30s, he just wants his kids to be independent.
I get parents thinking 18 year olds should be independent and on their own, but 18 year olds still have immature brains (frontal cortex fully developes at 26) and need life experience. Ease then out, or help them build resources so you aren't just evicting them with nothing.

I would have been ill but not to the point of disability due to abuse suffered in childhood but refusing to help when I moved to another country and then came back to my home town and became homeless was nail in the coffin. to this day I wish I had a new mother, that someone would heal the wound created years ago. Second Story, NTA: OP’s boyfriend is a selfish prick. The fact it got this bad to the point OP had to lock up her own stuff speaks volumes of the situation. OP needs a new boyfriend and new friends. This guy literally allowed OP to constantly suffer for his own benefit. Good on OP for leaving this bozo
Third Story, NTA: This guy talks about shame when he should be ashame of himself for ruining a 13 year relationship by cheating. OP is not obligated to do anything for this man
Fourth Story, NTA: Wow, after OP offered to he her surrogate she destroys OP’s stuff over her petty jealousy?! While OP shouldn’t have said what she said but what OP’s sister did was beyond messed up. Imagine destroying everything and then blame 3 year olds. Also, I’m just glad she didn’t do anything to these 3 year olds
Fifth Story, NTA: The parents deserved to be called out for this appalling behavior. Imagine making your own child homeless. People who kick their kid’s out the moment they turn 18 are the absolute worst kind of people and do not deserve to be called parents. I hope these “parents” get non stopped shunned for what they did. “Slander” lmaoooo it isn’t slander if it isn’t the truth. “They given their daughter everything and she is ungrateful” I don’t believe in this neither

Story where OP’s house is destroyed by her sister : OP, actions speak louder than words, even if your sister has done a lot to help you in the past, she showed her true colors by destroying your house (and blaming your kids for the damage) when you were in the hospital giving birth to HER baby… if your parents want to say that you’re in the wrong, show them the damage and ask weather they thought it was caused by an adult would or two 3 - year - olds and if they believed it was the kids, what kind of adult would let them do that much damage… then tell them that unless EVERYTHING is replaced or paid for in full by X - time (whatever you think is reasonable) AND your sister owns up to what she did then she’s getting the cold shoulder and that if they take her side they’ll be in the same boat!

Years ago, a neighbor was in an abusive marriage. She has 3 children (all grown now). Her husband chased/kicked out all of them. (To be fair the older two were on drugs at the time.) The youngest (a boy) was kicked out around 1:30 to 2:00 am in FEBRUARY! The poor kid had just what he had gone to sleep in and his shoes. He was in a light weight t-shirt and (what we now call) dad shorts. He ran over here. The next day we (my hubby and I) had him dressed in our son's clothes and took him to a store to get him a coat, and new outfits. He lived with us for a few years till his mom manage to kick the A-H out of her life. He still comes over and we count him as our younger son.

Story 3: Doesn't seem like a you problem tbh. He dug his grave when he cheated on you, and then he put you down as a contact without your consent. As far as I'm concerned, he's on 'stranger I spoke to once' terms.
Story 4: F*cking yikes, that's gratitude for you. You offer to have a full on child for this a-hole and she tears apart your house. "After all she's done for you." What has she f*cking done? She tore up your house after you offered to have a kid for her.
