    I’m calling it - Josh Johnson is going to be a 🐐 of comedy, among the ranks of Carlin, Pryor, Seinfeld, and Chappelle.

      Comedians are the court jesters of our day and age. Court jesters were the people that could make fun of the king and the ideology of the day. They can criticize anything if they make it funny. For anyone who may not know, Josh IS a writer. A rather well tenured one. I believe he started in one of those like 30 Rock shows, then SNL, and other people. Daily Show. All the shit you like.

    The fact people didn’t and still don’t understand what a “black” job is to me at least is astonishing.The demographic of jobs that most black folk have or go into is what is considered a black job very simple.

      Then tell me.
      ‘Cause every time I see black people working places (fast food places. . . ) I ALSO see Hispanics, Whites and Asians. So how can they be “Black” jobs?
      Now if a McDonalds is in an area that has a population of 95% Blacks, then yeah- there’ll be Black employees. That still doesn’t make them “ Black” jobs.

      I feel like that’s a bit extreme. To be fair it may just be a difference in culture and generation, but my brother and I were raised that same way and yes in the moment as a child we felt that it was horrible, but as an adult I feel that it worked as a solid discipline for us cuz we didn’t repeat the thing that got us whipped again and learned from it.
      Granted my parents always gave a choice of being punished from basketball or games or picking a switch, and I always chose the switch cuz one would be over in a few minutes while the other would last a few days to a week lol

    I find it interesting the heat that Trump got for saying black jobs. I thought it was implied that he was saying jobs that were once filled with black employees are essentially being outsourced by an unregulated labor force, not saying that those jobs are dedicated for black citizens. I think he was attempting at speaking at the working class but tailored his wording to the audience which was predominantly black. Whether or not you agree or there is significant data to back it, illegal immigrants are not taking white collar corporate jobs. They *would* be taking blue collar jobs that typically hire based on physical willingness and work hour flexibility.
    TLDR, he’s saying that immigrants would be taking jobs US citizens lean on, in the working class, because the lower entry barrier that isn’t stacked with needing a degree/student loans/internships to build toward an income. And yes it would be affecting black workers as well as any worker that expects better pay and benefits while an immigrant is just banking on getting some type of paycheck.
    Any company that is leveraging cheaper labor instead of paying citizens adequately for sustainable living should be vilified. We are Americans first, and have a lot to do to ensure common Americans can have a decent livelihood. It’s impossible to guarantee the livelihood of immigrants (legal or not) when born citizens are already suffering from inflation, super competitive job market, and outdated wage system that does not account for the new averages of rent/mortgage rates.

      I don’t know. The way you describe what a “Black job” is sounds kinda’ racist?
      However I agree with a lot of what you’ve said.

    • @zaccarter3801
      @zaccarter3801 21 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @@kurtkish6970 then you avoided my point. It was likely said “black jobs” because he was at a convention that represented African Americans. There are thousands of black employees in white-collar roles and even stakeholders of companies in the Fortune 500. This was clearly intended as an appeal to the lower and middle class. Which many black Americans are apart of. We could dissect many reasons why and directly point it to the Democrat party throughout the 1900s or we could just admit that an influx of cheap labor is not a good thing for those that rely on low-entry requirement jobs. They are literally the backbone of the country regardless of skin color and should not be dependent on uncontrolled immigration. I’m not saying that we shouldn’t allow immigration either, but the border crisis is absurdly uncontrolled and largely misunderstood. It goes beyond politics and Mexico takes very little responsibility due to cartels assassinating over 100 candidates that want to regulate the country to the point that would encourage people stay. But because people want to leave because of corruption and poverty, and also cartels want to drive drug and human trafficking through North America (not just USA). The change to immigration won’t happen unless the U.S. doubles down on border security. The fentanyl crisis is largely attributed to cartels and their efficient drug trafficking (and our pharmaceutical industry leading patients to opiate dependency but that’s a whole other conversation). But a crime syndicate/conglomerate that literally involves US and Mexico citizens would be hard to dismantle even with border control. So at the end of the day, let’s just help get our lower and middle class Americans some job security and more purchasing power. Unfortunately I don’t see either candidate making the changes necessary to do that as it goes beyond the executive branch.
