Glad there's one review from our very own here in the Ph. I just recently bought it and so happy of the decision I made, I just had 75% kboards and I'm loving the 65 layout. Still tinkering and choosing the right switches to go with it.

@@myke6972 yes it gets decently bright. The only reason it doesn't show clearly is because the switches I used didn't have clear / see-through top housings

Just got my Sugar 65 in today and it's very nice! I agree with the case feeling somewhat chalky but I do like the heft. I initially put WS Morandi in it but with all the included foam it was almost muted with those switches. I pulled them and put in some Akko Cream Blue Pros (my piano pros are going in my GMMK Pro to liven it up) and it sounds amazing with those switches, very similar to your build with the Piano Pros. For this price this is an amazing little keyboard... if only it had QMK/VIA. Thank you for the build guide and review, it definitely pushed me to get mine on order and helped with the modification process!

I own a Leobog Hi75 and let me tell you, these boards in this particular price range, is an absolute steal.
The Hi75 is my first ever alu kit and I don't regret buying it. Now, I am thinking of updating my CIY GAS67 for this one, cause why not! It is definately an upgrade over the GAS67. Nice vdo btw. Keep up the good work.

I dont think so, there are flaws with this budget aluminum board. Opposite works with the higher expensive board they meant to have a perfect finish of paint, as well as its availability. But i do agree their profit margin is significantly higher compared to cheap alu. But thats how the market works

@@HarryLorenzo their build quality is difference, their availability is difference. People who designed or company who produced it gives a higher value as well, if you think that isn’t justifiable, it means you’re not the target market of premium boards. I have Womier S-K71 and it's great, but this one supports split spacebar which is very important, as I have to type a lot of my national characters using right alt. It's cumbersome without split keyboatltd. So far I managed to go around it with alice layout, but alice keebs are much larger...

Right now I'm absolutely swamped with things to review so I can't make any promises at the moment.

Btw, do you know if there's a difference between the R1 and R2 of this board? Is it just the Sugar engraving at the back?

This board is absolute lason, but i'll wait for now. Maybe another board will overtake it in the value proposition. Really need software even if it's just proprietary for that price.
