All these people that say that engine needs a tune up need to get their ears checked a big cam and spin teck mufflers with a big engine sounds good to me
Oh it needs some tuning for someone with a trained ear. It needs way more ignition timing at idle for starters and by doing that it would require the carb to be retuned starting with the idle mixture screws and then a reset of the curb idle! Not sure what the total timing is set at, but by the lack of proper bottom end tuning, probably not enough! A choppy cam means nothing if the carb and ignition aren’t in good tune!
My thoughts exactly. I have a chevelle malibu im converting to an SS. Jusy need the dash and shifter left is all. Yeah im swapping my Flowmasters now haha
Doesn't say if those were 6000 or 9000. 9000 is definitely for a heavily modified engine. 6000 is just exhaust porn to the ears. Powerful and gressive hum/and thrap! Sound excellent sir!
In seven years hopefully you figured out a proper ignition timing tune so that rough running thing will run better! And I ain’t talking about that choppy cam.....that engine doesn’t have nearly enough initial timing and/or vacuum advance or has it hooked to ported vacuum like most other TH-cam mechanics!
yes and no. obviously the lope is cool sounding but the poppy nature is coming from the muffler. for some reason the spintechs add a higher compression sound effect to the exhaust note.
Nicholas Fernandez could you recognize from sound which model? Have a sound I want to recreate from a video and I know the person used spintechs. Just not sure on the model

Spintech is the ONLY muffler I use. Have them on both hot rods.
Have 3" 3000XLP's on the Hellcat and 4" Pro Bullet ovals on the twin turbo 70 GTO.

All of us don't like that high pitch sound. It must be a generation thing.
I don't think you realize exactly what I'm saying. Spintech has a very metallic sound, the X pipe just brings out this nasty shriek at high rpm.
