@@alexsnower5743 While Touch of Evil's title sequence is impressive, it does not do the job of a title sequence that well, the point of the title sequence is to introduce the cast and give all the credits, Pulp Fiction does this way better as the names of the cast are the focus of the sequence, while in Touch of Evil it is the scenery with credits on the right and left side, the sequence is just way more memorable. The opening dialogue is already really interesting, then the robbery is really abrupt, but when Misirlou kicks in you know you're in for a fucking cool (and different) movie.

Pulp Fiction is one of the most captivating and entertaining films that I’ve ever seen. Every time I watch it and I’ve seen it tons of times I always notice something new and it always feels like I’m watching it for the first time all over again. Last night at 1AM, I scroll through Netflix knowing nothing good was offer then I happened to find Pulp Fiction on the list. So, I clicked it and watched the whole thing.
The engine you hear reving in the beginning is actually Butch riding away on Zeds chopper. Cool detail I just learned about because of the order the movie takes place.
Have you ever noticed that when a subject is talked about with passion and detail , it’s captivating to the listener , even if they had little interest in the subject previously . That what makes this scene great . Tarantino distills this in Roth’s tangent about the logistical challenges of robbing various places
Amanda Plummer was so awesome in this scene. I love how she’s sickly sweet to the waitress, beaming a huge fake smile while talking about being a piece of shit in life. Her and Tim Roth were perfectly cast. Then she says she’ll, “execute every last motherfucking one of you.” People always give me shit that this and se7en are my favorite movies ever. But there are very few perfect movies out there. This is one of ‘em.
Amazing little detail most people miss: in both Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, both films have actors and a director, and they both start and finish. Tarantino is a genius.
I actually switched to mayonnaise with fries after this scene, way back when I first saw the movie in 1995. The Dutch were right, it's infinitely better than ketchup :)
Both are inferior to a 3:1 mayo to ketchup sauce. Add garlic powder and Worcestershire sauce; salt and pepper to taste. And that's just the basic recipe. Go crazy with sriracha, cayenne, pickle juice; the possibilities are endless. Refrigerate for a few hours for best results; thank me later.
@@Vendzor Thanks! In a pinch you have to settle for less but I don't doubt this is better Think I'll go with some ketchup substitute though....even in a recipe I can't stand the stuff.

In any case, if I had to choose between any ketchup or mayo I'd have to go with mayo. I used to hate the stuff and agreed with Jules' disgust for it, but now I can't have a burger without it. It's always fun to mix things in and make a nice aioli for dipping some fresh, crispy fries. One day I'll stop buying Hellman's and jar my own stuff.
@@Vendzor It's totally conceivable because I haven't tried any in at least 15 years and I love tomato sauce (Thick, no chunks). Spiciness is good. It can be an acquired taste. I don't put it on burgers often but a conservative spread on turkey and swiss sandwiches is heaven.
