I just bought the hardware TUBE TECH Compressor LCA 2B ON EBAY. I took a risk because the seller didn't know it was functional but the light did power on. I think $1,500 is a good price for the unit. The big brother of this one here..
I appreciate the review. I was looking for someone to use it on vocals and you are the only video that explain how they use it on vocals so far. Thanks again.
Great video. Very entertaining presentation and I got the impression you actually really liked this plugin. I don't get that impression with every MPOTW video. Also refreshing to hear such a lust for life breeding music. I enjoyed this episode as much as I like this plugin from softube. Combined with the complete MKII strip is a joy to use. Cheers
I have the native and I love it on vocals and bass, top notch emulation quality. The only issue with this mk is the GUI size a bit large, I've noticed all recent Softube's plugins going this way now.
Excellent compressor, I Love it. For me the only drawback in the UA version is that it doesn't have "external sidechain" feature as the native version from softube. But it sounds good anyway. Thanks for that great review. You're the best Mike.
This plugin sounds awesome. Would you recommend it then over the LA-2A (which I already have, but if the Tube-Tech is that much better I think I better buy it). Do you also prefer the Tube-Tech EQ over the two Puigtechs? Thank you.
@@levondarratt787 Recently I've been in two very nice studios and both used the Tube-Tech hardware version. They said that it was similar to the LA-2A but with more controls and they described it as an essential part of their recording process. I also read somewhere that it is kind of like Pultec gear in sound which I love because it has eq that is warm and the opposite of harsh (the best way I can think to describe it). If the software captures this, then I'm sold.
Hey Michael. In your opinion how would you say the hardware Tube-Tech differs from a hardware LA-2A, what do you favour one or the other for, and which would you get if you could only get one(negating the fact that there are plugin versions)? Thanks.

how's it treating you?
Opto Comp with A, R, side chain and parallel, what’s not to love? It’s LA2A in a Superman suit.

Please let me know if I understood this correctly: What you are saying is the fix/man makes the attack knob into a "hold" knob?

@@Theboydevoye Ah. Cool. Thank you. I'll try and give my best ;)
This album really is killer. Cheers

I love this comp.
Me too!
The next best thing to a Fairchild which it was made in mind...

Another great review. Thanx for all the detailed explanations.
Cheers!
Hi. What about higher Parallel comp settings? 55%?

I'd like to hear the answer to this as well.

Great, informative video as always!
Is there a difference in sound between the UAD CL1b MKII and the Softube native version?
Thanks Mike. Good stuff. Question: Have you posted any videos on Avid Heat?
One of my favorite compressors, just amazing
One of my faves as well !
Thanks for the review on this, amazing sound.
Can you do review on Vertigo Sound VSC-3 and VSE-2?

The tube Tech sounds more like a Fairchild as it was modeled after it. Not the LA2a
@@MISTAMUSIK Oh ya, thats really cool. Thanks, I didnt know that Reno.
Great song
Great video as always! Have you ever considered testing the TC 2290-DT? Would have been great to have your take on it before buying.
Are you going to do a follow up on McDSP 6060 collection?
The vocal was recorded distorted and you want to add auto tune on the vocal as well! The vocal was very harsh...
Good choice MW!
Great comprosession
You are the best
Thanks man
Cheers!
Thanks
The needle always look janky
This can make even those old heroin voices sound palatable !
Pour quoi mes oreilles n'entendes pas ce plugin ? lol
