    Got the Flow Mastering Suite from Softube a few months ago. Most of the plugins you have vids for are in the Flow Mastering Suite. I know these are old vids but they are still relevant and very good tutorials.

    It's my favorite too! I love what it does to the low end on the kick...very rich and sweet.
    Cheers!!!

    I love that you know the history of the stuff you review. By far my favorite review channel on youtube. I don't usually subscribe to channels on youtube but you deserve many more subs and have mine.

      +Jason Cox Thanks Jason!
      The history is a very important part of using any emulation properly. Otherwise, it is just another plugin. This is especially true of vintage compressors.
      Cheers!

    I do check out your reviews often. Very informative. Just a quick note. As mentioned, history is important. At the end of 1968 the first TG12345 console, the Mark I, was installed in studio 2 (there were later two revisions leading up to two Mark IV consoles). The only album The Beatles recorded on the TG12345 was Abbey Road. Geoff Emerick said he liked the way the way the drums sounded better on the Redd desk. I, personally, LOVE the sound of Abbey Road. Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon and George Harrison's All Things Must Pass were also recorded on TG12345 consoles. Keep up the good work!

    Great video, I now see for the second time. I love this plugin. I only wish it would have a continuous frequency selection mode so I could make more accurate tiny differences between L and R channels to emulate small tolerance differences.

    You're very welcome. Again, great video. Convinced me to buy it ( even though I already own the Waves Redd, TG12345 and the R56). the extra bands are really useful in doing modern sculpting, while getting a vintage sound...plus I LOVE UAD stuff (would probably sound great with the TG emulation in Waves NLS).

      Cheers Ruby! The TG emulation in the NLS is by far my favorite of the 3 options. Love what it does to the low end imaging. Sweeet!

    This is one of the greatest plugins that I've ever heard. Already purchased (after only two days of demo) :)

    Nice review as always, did you ever review the Waves Abbey Road EMI T12345? I couldn't see it. Maybe a side by side comparison with the softube Curvebender would be cool.

    • @mixingwithmike
      @mixingwithmike  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Death By Dub Digital I did a TG12345 video for the Waves website and TH-cam channel when it came out. The Chandler version is meant to be an improvement on the original, so I'm not sure it's a fair comparison. The VCA compressor on the TG12345 channel is crazy though!
      Cheers!

    This is exclusive for the UAD platform

    • @mixingwithmike

      +Quinn Smith Hi Quinn,
      That is true right now. I suspect that Softube will be able to release this natively at some point. The same has happened with some of the brainworx releases that were UAD exclusives at first.
      Cheers!

    Love it but do you have to have a UAD interface for this or can it be 3rd party :)

    • @mixingwithmike
      @mixingwithmike  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This one is currently available only with UA systems. From what I have seen in the past, I would expect Softube to release this native once the licensing deal with UA allows it. May be 6 months to a year.

    Hi, Michael! Thanks for great review! Please, if not difficult, tell me about your Neve 1081 settings on guitars (track GTR 1.02,2.02, 5.02) or may be show a screenshot.

      @mixingwithmike  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Alex Berkut Hi Alex,
      The 1081 is amazing on guitars and just showing a screenshot will not do justice to using it. I will create a tutorial on this so you understand it beyond just the numbers.
      Thanks!
      Mike

    A lot of compression, I could barely hear the transients...nice plugin though!

      Never too much, hahahaha! This is a typical "radio friendly" approach to a mix so it cuts through in your car over traffic noise.

    Somebody sort that bl**dy hi-hat. Every time you add any air it sticks out way too far. Otherwise, excellent review.

    • @mixingwithmike
      @mixingwithmike  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm afraid that overuse of NS10s in the 80's and 90's has shorn off my sensitivity to hihats in this one. :-)
      Cheers!

      Michael White And I'm hyper sensitive. Was doing a live recording for a jazz/jazz funk band. The drummer asked me why I wasn't direct micing the HH, I said something along the lines of "you'll fracking hear it". I actually find it most difficult to get right, that, and plank spankers who insist that the only way they can get 'tone' is by turning gain up full on a 200 watt rig. Keep up the good work.
