Pekora finally realising that her English isnt good, its just that Moona understands Pekolish so well.
Also Towa flexing stuff she learned from Mumei.
Laughing imagining Pekora trying to ask "Gura, what's your FUCKING favorite Ghibli moive?" to liven things up.
God I bet they would die laughing
Pekora: what fucking gihblimovie like?
@@ramsesmarco hwatto ghibli stadio raiku- faqing raiku eiga?
They shouldda listened to Coco.
Better that than, "Gura, what's your favorite FAQING movie"
Botan is a true gamer. She has some weird online gamer veteran type of wisdom.
Pekora using her passion English. No one but Moona understands.
Towa and Botan using their FPS trashtalk English. Everyone understands.
Ina with the Nihonggo Jouzu saving the convo
Something about this clip makes me think that Calli's next English teaching stream, with Pekora and Botan, will be very interesting indeed.
There's something both oddly cute and extremely cursed about Towa saying "using swear words is necessary when communicating in english" lmao
Zoomers have brainrot that makes them put swears every third word, some millennials do it too. I'm not against swearing but their vocabulary is 90% fuck and shit.
I believe you mean 'There's something both oddly cute and extremely fucking cursed about Towa saying "using swear words is necessary when communicating in english" lmao'
Did they hug??
DID THEY HUG?!?!!?
Ina said yes in today's stream. She collected Marine and Peko hug.
@@GlideAndSlide123 holy crap. She collected the fabled peko hug.
@@GlideAndSlide123 A Peko hug?! That's like... A *SS RARE* hug!
koyori said she was with gura, got to hug gura, the other two did not hug gura. with all these different stories pretty sure it was koyori, marine, pekora, gura
If your Passion(power) is not enough, thats mean you need more Passion
Surpass your limits, right here, right now
Based
english speakers outside japan don't really care about grammar that much either, just "say words good" is a good start + lot of practice will correct it over time
This. As long as you get the words out, I can rearrange them myself in my head to figure out your meaning. Sadly, I have plenty of practice with this reading shit lvl translations and MTL games that still haven't left JP.
@@nekopunchi9793 I'm exactly the same, I'll read the most batsh*t crazy sentence and just think "Oh that's not that bad. There's 3 wrong pronouns and the subject is missing, but I can figure it out."
@Lucas Lennan
Lol I actually find it harder to understand native speakers sometimes because they tend to ignore a lot of basic stuff or straight-up use words in the wrong way.
@@nekopunchi9793 the three levels of fluency. Using words wrong -> using words right -> using words wrong intentionally
@@nekopunchi9793 Have you ever really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
Pekora realizes how OP Moona truly is.
Thanks for the translation and the close-up of Botan.
And I really would like for Gura and Botan to meet (two of my favourites, so I am biased, I know) and maybe, just maybe Gura can achieve her dream of jumpscaring Botan (Although that seems impossible. The planet exploding seems more likely)
Now I know that Moona power to understand pekolish is the big part too LOL 😂😂😂
Botan: I am not good at English.
Also Botan: Uninstall please.
On one hand: appreciate the TL! It's a long clip with a lot of detail.
On the other: sensing a bit of a fellow SSRB bias here. Continuous 5m+ closeup on Botan facial expressions the entire time. 😅
I can just imagine Pekora next time walking towards Gura and Ina saying "ohh hey Gura Ina faq faq!!"
If I ever see someone with a JP gamer tag write "good morning motherfuckers" in chat, I'll know they learned from the best.
Kinda off-topic, but watching this, you can really tell how much more comfortable Pekora is talking
JP Greetings: It’s good to see that you’re well!
EN greetings: *Jackass intro music*
LMAOOOO
edit: I've been laughing for a good 5 minutes thinking about this
This feels like a long con by both Botan and Towa.
I want a fucking podcast with this 3 discussing random and/or mundane bs like this
Makes sense. Miko saying faq got the vo of GTA5 to send her a bday message while joining the cult of faq is love.
peko-chan, towa, and boton together are such a cute combo
The thing when learning a new language is "do not translate things from your language to the other" you need to think in the other language, for 2 reasons
1. Every language has a way of talk, you can't expect to translate sentences perfectly from one to another
2. If you want to translate is gonna take you forever to talk with someone and eventually came to the conclusion that is not going to work xd
I can speak in Spanish, Japanese, English, Portuguese and Guarani but except my mother language is almost imposible for me at least, to dominate every language, i'm probably making alot of mistakes because english is not my language, and i also sometimes try to translate something from one language to other knowing full well that is not going to work xd
You're Paraguayan?
@@ennui9745 yes
@@piedra7040 Cool. Spanish and Guarani I get because they are Paraguay's official languages, English I get because it's the dominant world language, for Japanese I'm guessing you are interested in Japanese pop culture too since this is a Hololive video, how did you come to learn Portuguese? Is it because of Brazil?
Indeed, swear words are the best way to bond with people when learning a new language. Wether you are teaching a class, meeting friends, or even in business (after the meeting) it is a great way to break the ice, and let your counterpart know you are both human. It breaks the stress barrier, and the person you are communicating with will remember those words above all other, and associate them with you.
Ahh yes. the Uninstall (game) is da wae
I love the amount of effort the girls go to to understand eachother, Passion English is so cute.
This make me in awe with Moona's capability to understand Pekolish
"Fuckin' Ghibli, am i right?"
Idk, there's a chicken that loves to say "you little shit" to almost anyone lol
Yeah, the communicational difference between EN and JP is major. Greeting friends with insults is the norm here. But the tonal difference is what helps distinguish friendly banter from actual insulting. Learning that tonal difference is important, and I imagine quite difficult to adapt from another language, like JP.
Typical Japanese-speaker interaction: “Hi Roboco-san! Looking very high-spec!”
or
“Towa-sama, you really are devilish today!”
vs
Typical English-speaker interaction: “Good morning, motherfuckers.”
or
“What the fuck did I tell you guys about spamming ‘ole Adam Sandler?”
"Fuck you and I'll see you tomorrow!"
That's just some people. I don't insult my friends.
pekora completly dropped the peko at the end of the sentences at this point huh?
Happens in offline collabs
Like subaru she sometimes doesn't really pitch her voice when she's not in character
I love how Pekora wants to learn English language but asks for Botan who only speaks Gamer language, LOL
the n word 💀
Not gonna lie, if I was playing with Botan and she told me to "Uninstall please"... I would do so immediately and not even feel the least bit bad about it. Would most likely record that game section and keep it as a family heirloom.
Step 1: Learn Swears
Step 2: Make Friends
Step 3: ??????
Step 4: Profit
Ina over 9000 IQ 😎👍
FAQ!
They can just ask miko since she's from EN
How to become friends with foreigner
Learn english and speak politely ❌ ❌❌
Learn english and Swear ✔️✔️✔️
Sasuga pebot
Moona spoiled pekolish too much
so, fucking, precious.
Anyone else physically cringe a bit when they all agreed that swearing in English is the best way to make conversation and friends overseas? Like they're not entirely wrong but I still feel bad for their potential future interactions overseas XD
What's your favorita Ghibli movie? Laputa
If you know why is this funny answer jajajaja
Oh my god no, lol
Me and the boys calling eachother every slur in existence with excessive use of your mom inappropriately
honestly though if someone's cussing at me foreigner or not, online or not. I tend to keep my distance from them. I don't like hearing foul language when I want to enjoy a game.
Plus not being able to hear their voice if they chat (So I can't tell their emotions.) or understand their intentions if they use voice chat (cause of incomplete sentences.) Makes using swear words even worse for making friends with people then it already is.
But good on pekora that she knows that her english is not good and she needs to improve. ^_^
Oh no, the Internet has ruined these poor girls’ perception. You definitely don’t need to swear to get along with people in English and to use it so casually to people you don’t know well can be ver off-putting. I hope some bilingual folks in their chat can communicate that to them
thats true, some dont really like swear wordd. but i guess they are talking im the perspective of internet communication, and swear words are casually used.
I think they based it on general FPS Lobby LOL. Considering Botan even pick up some Russian from MW(?) too and Towa is big in Apex especially.
South East Asian here and I dont know about otther cultures but we here at SEA online game chats pretty much figure out each and every other races swear words and it kinda works it really makes a very easy ice breaker or conversation starter. We have like 5 or more different languages we use here in SEA we are pretty diverse.
It's not that English is difficult. It's actually incredibly easy.
It's more that Japanese is incredibly complicated and does not translate well to any other language (Maybe korean?). My native language is Spanish and despite English having little to no similarities, the general 'language' is the same only with different words & syntax. Japanese though, makes no sense which is why they struggle.
English is famously one of the most difficult languages to learn as a second language lmao
@@SilverScizor753 Actually it's the easiest. That's why it's the universal language. Better luck next time though.
