- Kharyzma DIY: How To Make a WOMEN'S DASHIKI. EASY!
In this tutorial I show you how to make womens Dashiki by using a sweatshirt as a pattern. I originally wanted to make a Dashiki Dress, but when I got home and looked at the fabric I realized that the lady didn't cut it the right way. I was so excited to male it that I worked with the fabric anyway.
*I will make a men's Dashiki very soon and from that tutorial you can see how to make the dress, it's basically the same way, just cut the fabric longer.

Hi. I'm not sure where you're from. I got it from a fabric store in Harlem a few yrs ago. I live in NYC. If you are from here, try Harlem, Jamaica Ave. Otherwise I'd do a Google search for African print fabric. Hope that helps. 🌝

Now how you cut your neck line you kind of followed the pattern already in the fabric if I'm using another fabric what can I use to still get this same neck line you have here ?
Hi, just study your garment closely and do your best to cut it the way you want. Practice on paper first. Necklines are always tricky. You may have a shirt that has a neckline that you want, try to copy that.

+Sweet Drop Hi. Thanks. No, I wasn't planning on adding buttons, but you can always alter the one that you make. I may add pockets though. I put my tutorials up as a guide, but you can feel free to switch it up however you want to when you make yours. Thanks for watching:)

+YaNVme Hi. How are you? Long time! Yes, I will sell them very soon. If you want to use your own fabric that will be OK too because I have not yet stocked on Dashiki fabric being that it is pricey for the fabric alone. I'm sure we can work something out if you really want one though. Just let me know. I originally wanted to make a dress though. I'll be making a Men's one this week and it really is the same technique for the women's dress. Also, you can always learn from the tutorial how to make it for yourself ...WINK :) Great to hear from you!!!
+kharyzma4u Thanks sis! I don't even know where I could find that type of fabric. My resources are limited here lol. Maybe I can look online. I really love the way yours fits. I'm short so I thought if I bought one online, it would look more like a dress on me lol. My mom sews. She tried to teach me, but that was a disaster lol. Maybe I'll have her work with me again. If it doesn't work out, I'm coming back to you! :) lol

If you have a local fabric shop, or order online. I can make fabric available, but the prints that I have access to is limited.
