Thanks brendog! Love the extra tips, hopefully it should improve my whip! I Think a video about "getting your own style" would be good considering how much u have!
Super awsome vid guys. What a great background to ur vid! And yeah I mainly do xc riding and I have a specialized epic comp 29'. Would u recommend me trying to learn how to whip?btw both front and back shocks have 100mm of travel
Probably not the best idea because the bike's geometry was designed with 29 inch wheels in mind. Of course you can fit them but I doubt it's recommended.
toxicat it’s entirely preference- ride with the foot forward you usually have and then when you whip keep that foot forward no matter which side you are on
Why no mention of speed? Im 180lbs and noticed i need to go faster to generate air time to even attempt a whiplike motion, too slow forget it. Slow motion is deceiving, whips require the fastest speed possible to avoid crashes. Whish there was air bag around here to land on! Lol
No issues with assembly for me th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L but I could see where some might benefit from using an experienced bike assembler/mechanic. I'm an older rider starting back after a 10 year break. This bike exceeds my capabilities and has been easy to get comfortable riding. I'm mostly on easy trails with almost no street riding and have not been disappointed with the performance of the bike. My fitness level is far below what I previously rode with and because of that the mileage is going on the bike slowly. While I'm losing weight slowly, the bike seems to tolerate my 220 pounds just fine. The bike has been used by several family members ranging from 5'5" - 5'9".
not getting it straight at all!!! doing what i do. hes in a hip so its fine. do that on a big gap thats a straight landing and on a dh bike so bar turn is minimal your gunna know about it. i can whip i cant bring it back and big step up my local wow is hard to hit let alone throw a whip. hoping be helpful vid some tips. nope :(
Danny Hart next HHAHAHAAHAHHAHAAHAAHAHAHHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAHAAHAHHAHAAHAHAHAHHAAHHAAAHHAHAHA, ok that was to far of a laugh i wasnt even laughing irl but

Brendan's face at 3:09 seconds when he lands the whip
More with brendog !
The best!
I ride with the same foot forward as Brendan, but I do whips the other way. Learned them about 8 years ago.

I have a Marlin 5 trek 29er and what rims and tires should I get?
Bontrager se4 on the front, Maxxis Ikon on the back. It's what I run.

Nice vid
Loving Brendog on these vids as of late! Not that I don't love the Scott, Donnie and Martyn though.
Fair enough fairclough!
Where is this? It looks like such a cool trail. Keep up the videos they're awesome and really useful.
It's in Saalbach
saalbach first third of z-line
Just a few good bits on it.
Thanks guys, I need to get abroad to ride at some point. The UK Is great but the ski resorts look epic to ride.
Beautiful location - can you please tell me where this segment was filmed.
Could be val Di sole or albstadt
Great! Now can we have a scrub tutorial please?
Go on laaaad! Oi oi!
What bike is that? Scott Genius 700 LT Plus??
Brendog solo vid! 👍
I have a 29er Kona Mahunna( might have spelt it wrong, wold I be able to put a pair of 27.5 inch wheels on it ?
No! It will change the bikes geometry which could cause the frame to snap.
Probably not the best idea because the bike's geometry was designed with 29 inch wheels in mind. Of course you can fit them but I doubt it's recommended.
some 29er frame can work with 27.5+ tire, wheel.
+Evan Jarvis 👍
+Evan Jarvis ok thanks mate
thankyou :)
Playing lessons from a pro!
Are you pulling the bike across you as you come off the lip or is that just happening from something else?
GMBA!
I am doing whips for quite a whil but I can't get it more than 50 - 60 degries out what can I do to whip harder

Thanks man i just tryed to wheep and broke my arm 😂 cuz i'm a beginner and i realy neded to know that
Get that thing back in!
looking where I am landing is the problem! it's one fluid crash lol
Omg as i watched this video the first time i didnt know who brendon is
Which foot leads into a whip ? Not one vid I’ve watched so far explains this 😐
toxicat it’s entirely preference- ride with the foot forward you usually have and then when you whip keep that foot forward no matter which side you are on
The steeper the landing the easier too.
Brendon should have yelled, ""Bombs away!" in the start.
"maximum sidness" haha
Why no mention of speed? Im 180lbs and noticed i need to go faster to generate air time to even attempt a whiplike motion, too slow forget it. Slow motion is deceiving, whips require the fastest speed possible to avoid crashes. Whish there was air bag around here to land on! Lol
first time i whipped, i just meant to do a bar turn. ended up hitting a tree with my back wheel, bouncing off it and spinning out.
The rear wheel wobble is kinda scary.
yes, but how do you nae nae?
