That advice works on my XC loop as well. I call it riding efficiently.
For sure! Some things mentioned in the video can be applied to all types of riding! 👍
What a nice bloke Loris .All the best for next season .
Good job interviewer...a pro downhill biker isn't very good at communicating the basics (the purpose of this post) you did a great job of translating a tough interviewee into useful points
Yeah, definitely a language barrier. I think the pro was doing his best but it’s difficult to explain specific things in a second language. He did his best tho
I think it was more he's not a native English speaker, rather than his pro DH status making it unlikely. But true, some racers are analytical and verbal, and others more instinctive.
Helmet and gloves are the non-negotiables. A shredded hand can happen on minor enough spills and is so prohibitive in getting on with life.
Totally agree.
Slicing a nerve is not something I want to experience.
Helmet, gloves, and kneepads for me.
@@1911Zoey knee pads most of the time too for me but sometimes I'll go without on a longer XC style that isn't steep or technical.
Agreed! A helmet is a must-have! Gloves can be a slightly more personal choice, but crashing hurts even more without gloves! 😬
Personally, in order for me to be most comfortable and ride my hardest I need my full face, gloves, and knee pads.
Yeah, wearing more protection is great for your riding comfort and confidence! Safe riding out there! 👍
great video 😃😃 And I always have a lot of fun when I go down the mountain 😃❤
Great advice
For line comparisons you need the ghost cam like PB. Gives much better visuals.
It still happens so quick even in slow motion. I had to rewind a few times. Could you do the same with a XC pro on a short travel bike to see how it compares in terms of line choice for example.
The top i got from EMBN shop saved my skin a few times good quality merch 😃
Grande Loris!!!!!
2:26 What is that protection under the sock?
Def must have
Good skills, I want to learn too
Guys at GMBN. I know it's a pain in the ass to make videos with athletes. I'm guessing the guy eho edited it has way more gray hair than he used to.
But please continue making this kind of videos. Because a competitive athlete can give great insights to the topic
do a comparison of enduro bikes more than 180mm of travel like nukeproof giga, norco shore and the propain spindrift and see which one is the best.
Sick 🔥🔥
Thanks! 🔥
which trail in finale was that?🤔
So whats the chances canyon pirelli took on loris revelli to keep the rhyming scheme .
Niccolo machiavelli
It sounds great! 😅
Poor Rick, it was like trying to pull information out with a tractor🚜
that's exactly what I thought as well!
Nice job Rich. Loris did a nice job talking in English, could tell he struggled for the right phrases for his ideas sometimes, but he did well.
Thank you Jensen Button!
Big fan 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Thanks, Arnav!
@@gmbn Sir iam trying to wheelie on my Hardtail mtb. But I can't do please make video on it 😢
Fastest isn't always funnest. Riding obstacles and adding corners can be good.
Fun is fast
For sure! 💯
Does anyone manage to see the unweighting when the guest goes through that chute ? I don't. I don't see compression at the top nor release further on. The guy is low on his bike instead.
Unweighting the bike makes sense but I would love a little more insight on it
I always get emotional on the way down....
Why Canyon still have a team on the old Strive??.. everyone in that bike seems to have pretty good results, even now
Can i get an ❤️ from you guys?
I don’t know what the aversion to wearing full face helmets is these days with gazillions of vents and super light weight. I’m tire of driving people to the ER for facial stitches!
Switched to a full face a few months ago and I wear it every ride now. You’re right about the weight and vents. I ride in the high deserts of Idaho, Nevada and Utah that can get pretty hot but the helmet keeps my head cool and protected.
80% humidity and 90* at 8:00 am start in Austin, Tx😂
I hope this was filmed awhile back because if its recent then why the he77 is Loris riding on Rockshox old stuff?! He just don't care? lol
Recorded around one month ago... I guess if it aint broke don't fix it
♻same videos every week nice gmbn 💀
CE Zertifikat does not say anything about safety.
How the fuck is he even suggesting half lids for downhill
Cause he wears a pink one and no gloves. I'm definitely not taking advice from someone who doesn't wear gloves.
I'm not so sure half-llids have a place on nearly Any bike type (!). I've seen people in videos get gnarly concussions in half-helmets that wouldn't have happened had they a full-face. I had two crashes where a full-face saved my bacon, talked to a gent who had full-face reconstructive surgery because of a bad crash due to a half-helmet (He only wears a full-face post crash!), and am openly wondering why there isn't a road full-faced helmet. There's a lot of face exposed to kiss/hit that asphalt with those itty-bitty road helmets...
Also, full-faced helmets have been the norm for All (minus trials or Idiot Harley riders) motorcycling generes for a long time now. They've proven their worth and honestly, full-face helmets should have been the norm for mountain-biking from day one(!).
[As per Rich, the no gloves thing is probably some dumb hang-up on the gloves front I've seen with other riders here and there; makes No sense. You go to great lengths to protect everything else But your hands...🤔]
That helmet you have is absolutely no good for downhill man dear
