Hey! Was wondering when this would turn up! Thanks for sharing. FYI, there was no other cast. All foreign languages were subtitled and not dubbed so you can just call us the cast.
Thanks for letting us know. We either include the wording "English Cast" or "English Voice Actor" due to a standards and practice we follow. We will modify the title to better clarify the name of the panel.
@@ConventionCoverage Thank you, I hate to keep doing this but the vast majority of work done on Red Dead was performance capture and not in fact voice acting. They are two extremely different disciplines. We're trying really hard to raise awareness to the fans as to how their favorite video games are actually made. Voice acting is and always will be a staple part of gaming but pretty much all AAA games today use performance capture as the predominate way to record an actor's performance. So we're not just the voice! We did everything you see in the game apart from major stunts. Just calling us the 'cast' is the easiest, most accurate label. I appreciate the edit very much! Thanks again.
I love that Gabriel is so defensive for Javier. Seriously we have him alone to thank for actually being a decent man in rdr2 a completely different person then who he is in the first game. As a Mexican who absolutely loves westerns and cowboys, Javier was one of my favorite characters and now I know I have Gabriel to thank for it ✊🏽😂
I really think given proper time to process things he'd have sided with Arthur. He only decided to side with Dutch, I think, because he didn't know what to do and well, Dutch was the leader so that was the default
What's Poppin B It’s actually your choice to whether John kills Javier himself or not. Obviously you still have to capture him but if you just turn him in the agents will take him. I do believe he still gets executed but I don’t remember if that was actually said.
Well in the end mission Javier shot at John and Arthur while riding their horses. Javier just didn't have a brain for himself, he trusted Dutch too much despite the circumstances
TornadicBandit he actually isn’t in that scene, it’s just Dutch, Micah, cleet, joe, and maybe Bill I can’t remember if he was there. But Javier just left
To be fair though, Rockstar gave us one of the biggest most indepth single player experiences ever.. gotta give them credit for that. And you know any other company would have chopped off the epilogue and sold it as DLC, but Rockstar included it all
Directors: "OK let's make him taller, him skinnier and his voice deeper" *Hosea walks in* Directors: "OK we aren't gonna change a THING about this guy"
28:24 the way they all respond "howdy" so naturally gives me life Also, super sad how they all wanted Rockstar to do a DLC and Rob felt the need to promote RDO because they know it won't happen. Rockstar is too greedy and even the actors know that.
“Bill’s biggest weakness is he’s always seeking approval and he doesn’t feel accepted.” That’s what I’m talking about with the character of Bill Williamson. His story is really just as much of a tragedy as John or Arthur’s, where the pitiful idiot turns into a monster via the circumstances he’s faced. I believe Abigail said in Red Dead 1 that when Dutch went insane, Javier took it the hardest but I disagree, it was obviously Bill who took it the hardest.
I think Javier took it the hardest because he didn't have a purpose anymore, he lost his family and he had to comeback to Mexico, Bill actually had his own gang that he always wanted
Yeah, another deep aspect of his character, is some think hes racist because of the war with the indians, when the fact is hes haunted by them, he has ptsd instead. Listen to the wolves story. If he were racist and fought for that reason Charles wiuld not have been able to even say hello let alone fight beside him.
yea i agree, that was the dumbest question i ever heard asked to voice actors. like come on they don't even get to decide what's gonna happen on the next games.. wtf
I always felt Bill wasn't as bad as the narrative tried to imply. But by the time of the events of the first Redemption, he's certainly lost any of what well meaning he may have had prior. In RDR2, he's very loyal to the gang. He was also a vetern. By the end of the game, when everyone is at a stand off, Bill was forced to side with Dutch over Arther. It's a bit ironic, considering he would later break off from the Dutch gang and form his own offshoot, stating that he was tired of taking orders. It's also somewhat in implied in dialogue by Grimshaw that Bill is a bit of a hot head and that she thinks he's capable of killing innocent people. In RDR, his gang committs rape and murder. And it's suggested that the gang in particular is violent. So he's of course a villain at that point. Possibly insane too.
Oh, I agree 100%! It was definitely their strongest moment, despite the heartbreak of losing Sean. Sean may have been like an annoying little brother, but he was nevertheless a good member of the gang. I loved his camaraderie with most of the gang, his agreement with Arthur (and others) on not trusting Micah, and how good he was with Jack. I made sure those Braithwaites and Grays paid for the loss of Sean. And also, you noticed that Dutch really cared about John's mental state when it came to rescuing Jack? He made sure if John was really up to it and kept his emotions in line so he wouldn't go crazy, even as hell broke loose.
I let out a small “awww” when Rob and Mr. Dobell (can’t remember his first name, Hosea’s actor) said who their favorite character was. I just felt some kind of emotion that i can’t explain, with a tear sloooowly dripping on my cheek.
You can tell when a cast has gotten close on set and become a family. I feel that vibe really strongly from this cast and it’s wonderful. Makes me love the game even more.
NHILE Ik this is an old comment but honestly, the actors are the characters, Ik that the creators are in charge and they made it but when you are the character and relate to it and have a attachment to that person you become them and that’s what he did he felt like Javier wouldn’t fully agree with Dutch and that Arthur was his brother and he knew what was wrong like, he took into consideration that hey I’m this character and Ik him more then his own creator and I spent more time in him
I would’ve liked to hear someone mention Kieren when discussing some of their personal favourite characters. He was just some lost kid who had to find his way and got caught up with the o’driscolls. And when he finally finds a group that he could rely on, it was so hard for him just to fit in because of where he came from. All he wanted was a family and he only got some aspects of that. It wasn’t until his death where you see how much the gang actually did care for him

I’m surprised nobody mentioned Hamish for the “what is your favorite character” question. He’s one of the most underrated characters in the Rockstar series by far.
Hamish is amazingly fleshed out! As is Charlotte. Some of the less crazy strangers in the World give it the Wild West vibes it needs. Its like an history class in game.
The braithwaite manor mission; hell yeah! I LOVE that mission, it’s probably the best in the game just because the Van Der Linde gang is at 100% power and coolness/badassness in that mission!

It’s the man himself! Hello Mr. Clark!
Roger Clark You’re awesome. Just all the way around awesome.
I love that Gabriel is so defensive for Javier. Seriously we have him alone to thank for actually being a decent man in rdr2 a completely different person then who he is in the first game. As a Mexican who absolutely loves westerns and cowboys, Javier was one of my favorite characters and now I know I have Gabriel to thank for it ✊🏽😂
I love how even the actor knows Javier would never betray a brother for a non justified reason. I don't think he'd betray Dutch either though.
I really think given proper time to process things he'd have sided with Arthur. He only decided to side with Dutch, I think, because he didn't know what to do and well, Dutch was the leader so that was the default
Frank Woods yeah but John still kills him in the future
Players: It would be so nice to see more of this characters in a singleplayer expan-
Rockstar: Hey, kids! You want some GoLd BaRs??
People were asking for story mode dlc to at gts v but never got it. We probably wont get sum til next game
To be fair though, Rockstar gave us one of the biggest most indepth single player experiences ever.. gotta give them credit for that. And you know any other company would have chopped off the epilogue and sold it as DLC, but Rockstar included it all

My desired DLC would be a youthful adventures of Arthur and John, and them being raised and influenced by Dutch and Hosea. ♡
Follow that up until the Blackwater event!
That would be amazing!
Dotnotaspeck that’s a whole other game my friend
It would be amazing if that was red dead redemption 3 and had a 2 player story
and you play as a young hosea?
“If you could change one small part of the story, what would you change?”
Literally Hosea: “not to die 😐”
“Bill’s biggest weakness is he’s always seeking approval and he doesn’t feel accepted.” That’s what I’m talking about with the character of Bill Williamson. His story is really just as much of a tragedy as John or Arthur’s, where the pitiful idiot turns into a monster via the circumstances he’s faced. I believe Abigail said in Red Dead 1 that when Dutch went insane, Javier took it the hardest but I disagree, it was obviously Bill who took it the hardest.
Like your screen name.
Vivian Darkbloom thank you
Bill seems the most pissed at Arthur for being disloyal. The gang is everything to him
I think Javier took it the hardest because he didn't have a purpose anymore, he lost his family and he had to comeback to Mexico, Bill actually had his own gang that he always wanted
Yes finally Hosea joins in the panel.
Edgar -69x I would really like to see The voice of Charles Smith. Noshir Dalal on the Panel he was one of my Favourite Characters in the Game

She may as well have said when's GTA 6 coming out 😂😂😂
yea i agree, that was the dumbest question i ever heard asked to voice actors. like come on they don't even get to decide what's gonna happen on the next games.. wtf
Why would they even ask the actors
How would they know?
I like how you can even hear Sean shouting at Kieran in camp for saying "Colm" instead of "Colom"
literally
Wonder if that interaction was based on Roger Clark’s frustration about the name
@@matthewcastro2230I hope so
Steve J Palmer’s thoughts on Bill are amazing and I agree completely. Bill is sad and miss understood
I feel kinda bad for Bill, great acting
He suffers from ptsd as well.
When I go back to RDR, I'll feel bad for killing him. Both Bill and Javier, both too naive to not follow Dutch in the end, gets split up either way.
Yeah Bill could have made the turn
Man I love so much Gabriel (Javiers voice actor) he’s so charismatic
100% agree with the “gangs strongest mission” answer of Braithwaite Manor. I love that mission more than anything in the game.
Plus Micah was the only gunman that didn't ride with the gang in the mission. So no imposters.
@@ShibalotonSeattle rockstar just wanted the badass members for that mission
You could make an argument for Fleeting Joy and Eastward Bound too.
Yeah best mission
"We want yall to huddle real tight around the stage for a big group photo..."
*EQUIPS DYNAMITE ARROW*
I let out a small “awww” when Rob and Mr. Dobell (can’t remember his first name, Hosea’s actor) said who their favorite character was. I just felt some kind of emotion that i can’t explain, with a tear sloooowly dripping on my cheek.
His first name is Curzon
I like that Curzon likes Lenny, and the fact that Hosea and Lenny were buried right next to eachother
12:26 “what?” Peter is literally a playful Micah I love it.
You can tell when a cast has gotten close on set and become a family. I feel that vibe really strongly from this cast and it’s wonderful. Makes me love the game even more.
Nice to see the actor for Javier doesn't like the fact that he turns on Arthur at the end of the game, it just felt wrong, even Bill's actor
Really love Javier's voice actor taking pride in his character, love the guy tons
Edit: Hosea's va really looks like his self, weird to say.
NHILE Ik this is an old comment but honestly, the actors are the characters, Ik that the creators are in charge and they made it but when you are the character and relate to it and have a attachment to that person you become them and that’s what he did he felt like Javier wouldn’t fully agree with Dutch and that Arthur was his brother and he knew what was wrong like, he took into consideration that hey I’m this character and Ik him more then his own creator and I spent more time in him
What's fun is actually a lot of the VAs look similar to the characters because of the MoCap
It wasn’t until his death where you see how much the gang actually did care for him
15:45 What Roger Clark says here is so true and hilarious if he does say anything About DLC for RDR2 then someone is going to make a Clickbait Video with “OMG RDR2 DLC CONFIRMED”

Micah Bell - epitome for the best antagonist in a video game in recent memory.
Seriously, these two were sooooo well written. Bravo. I miss this game! Cant handle seeing Arthur pass away again in good honor. 😭
I’m surprised nobody mentioned Hamish for the “what is your favorite character” question. He’s one of the most underrated characters in the Rockstar series by far.
I liked the War Veteran, Sean, Charlotte, and the Dwarf.
Hamish is amazingly fleshed out! As is Charlotte. Some of the less crazy strangers in the World give it the Wild West vibes it needs. Its like an history class in game.
