    Theres a fix for the wheel not being centered. Rotate the mirror for the backside of the steering wheel sensor. I used a small plastic piece i had laying about, removed it from its position and just glued it to the plastic piece at 45 degrees to the left. Might take a few tries to finetune the center position.
    If you want 900 degrees then cover another hole on the black sensor disc (totally 3 holes, the rest covered), thatll actually give you 868 degrees or something like that. I think that 4 holes is good though otherwise youll end up steering too much for a wheel with such a small diameter.
    Make sure youll use a ziptie and pull it hard, for the steering wheel connector, that way you lock the last part containing the loose wires and youll not damage them as easily.

      Jan Kadeřábek Hmm, I no longer have the steering wheel, but I guess you will have to take it apart (just put all the screws in one place so U don't loose any ) if I remember correctly there is a PCB with micro switches for paddle switches and front buttons. Once you get to them you might just clean them up or replace for new ones. I hope this helps :)

    • @AFreakinProblem
      @AFreakinProblem 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@theextratesticles2358 Finall got around to doing it and I either wired something wrong or got a bad slip ring. Gonna mess around with again later to see if I can make it work. If I can get it to work, then splicing in a slip ring would be the way to go as it would allow the wheel to rotate an unlimited amount of times with risking wire breakage.

    Hello! This is quite an old video so I doubt I'll find help but I did this mod and my force feedback does not return to the center properly anymore unless I remove the tape on the motor (thus making the mod pointless.) Any ideas on how I could fix this

    • @radekciskowski2070
      @radekciskowski2070  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, you can see when I did that mod the wheel was not returning to the centre, that's the only down side, this is why I put the tape on the steering wheel to mark the middle for the video. It is what it is... But imagine you can use the mechanism and electronics to adapt to your own wheel for cheap $$ ? :)

    I tried this and now windows doesn't recognize the wheel rotation anymore. Pedals and buttons work fine. Noticed the crumpled reflective sticker for the ir transmitter and replaced it with aluminum foil. if I let it calibrate upon plugging it in, the wheel will just turn indefinitely. Any idea how to get windows to see the movement again?

      Sounds a lot like you accidentially destroyed the mirror. But without seeing it I guess you just need to align it precisely with the detectors again and then it should also work with the aluminium foil.

      there are two screws inside the casing, one on both sides of the wheel (lord knows how they've gotten there). you can try to unscrew them with a long screwdriver through the airvents, assuming the FFB variant has them. my non-FFB certainly does.

      Radek Ciskowski I made this mod today, inspired by your video. I've found out a way to make the rotation to pretty much 900 degrees(like a normal car) Also i've found a way to make it center, it's actually really easy, but the disadvantage is that you need to do this every time you plug the wheel in, or everytime you start up your pc again.
      Hit me up if you want to know how i did it.

      A large effect on the operation of the wheel have settings in game. The more settings the better.
