I did a build in a Montech Air ARGB which I bought from CCL for £46. I was really impressed with the quality. Would definitely buy a Montech case again. Thanks for the review.
I've built 2 pc's with this case, one black and one white versions of the case. Phenomenal bang for buck case. I'm looking at upgrading my personal pc case with the king 95 pro. Great review my guy!
Banger, usually you don't get PWM for that low price, saw 4pins so PWM. I think PWM is more power efficient than voltage variation to control fan speed (3pin style). SUP WILLIE D!
It is an amazing case for the price with fans included.. Shows what can be done.. By the way, I got my Technically Stable mousepad delivered, ordered Sat evening, delivered Tuesday morning.. Print and colours are very sharp, I did a 4k ROG design..
What a great package and offers such flexibility for upgrading later. Looks good with rgb included and much prefer storage options for ssds as mbs are limited with m.2s on entry mid lvl mbs! Wonder what matx/itx options Montech offer! Thanks Mike and Kath 🐈👍
Bought the Montech SKY2 and think it's great except.... it comes with with 4 ARGB fans (external frame lit, not blade lit) 3 reverse RX 120's and an standard AX120. Bought another RX120 to double up on the bottom and the blades are black, the case shipped with grey blades on the 3 RX's and black blades on the reverse mounted AX yet you can't buy the grey blades to match if you want to add more (ultimately want 3 more AX fans to exhaust on the top to replace the 3 standard arctic none argb fans I installed (only held off as I wasn't sure whether my 240 aio would side fix (it does if you push pull to use the fans as spaces otherwise the Radiator pipes don't fit in the side mount recess, and only works if using a Vert GPU mount) if it didn't i would have bought the 360 top mounted AIO instead so held off. Kind of unrelated as it looks like they have grey bladed fans as well but a quick look on there website shows those fans have grey blades anyway, just a minor annoyance for my SKY2 case if wanting more fans i can't buy a perfect match.
Great video :). I am upgrading my ancient ryzen 2600, rx 590,8gb ram. Getting a ryzen 5600x,rx 7600,corsair 16gb 3600 cas 16,Asus ROG Strix B550-F Gaming WIFI II (AMD AM4) B550 ATX Motherboard. I was looking at the Corsair 4000D AIRFLOW to put it all in as im not really an rgb guy lol. this case looks awesome though. can you just turn the lights all off ?
Hi Mike can it take a arctic 240 aio, the reason i ask is I have a thermatake one but not able to put the radiator on the top, not got enough room and had to put it on the front so im looking for a cheap case to accommodate it.
I had that case its ok but the case fans don't last long. The bearings went on them after a few months and I had to replace them better jus spend a bit extra and get say the NZXT Flow 6 that has a much better build quality.
Looking like there's no dust filter behind the front mesh,? I'd prefer the fine dust filter to protect my components from dust and pay the extra couple dollars
Actually surprised to see 3x 4 pin RPM fans, a HUB and magnetic mesh filters at that price point..Not many cases out there with such value for the price
planning to buy this case and plan to pair it with a rog strix b550 a gaming mobo will the 2x USB3.0 Port in the front panel still work if i connect it to the usb header? im not planning to use the type c usb just the 2x USB3.0 Port ? pcpartpicker says ( A USB 3.2 Gen 1 to USB 3.2 Gen 2 header adapter is required) will it work if i just dont get an adapter ? but with a lower speed of transfer?
@@mikesunboxing thanks mike. i really dnt need the extra type c as the mobo has it. i just need the extra 2 usb slots to put my wifi dongle and 2.4g for my keyboard.
@@mikesunboxing This case is awesome! It did not note the back 140mm exhaust fan in the listing but there it is, 4 140mm fans! It is going to be a joy to build in it and look foward to it.

Nice one! i like the brand and styling, hopefully they don't do an "arctic" and start believing their own hype and upping the prices
I purchased the King 95pro and love it, would like to see you do a review Mike. I got it for £113 from Scan.
i'll see what i can do

thank you very much
Thanks for showing this Mike I have both the black and white one and love it! however i did swap out the back fans for a rgb ones.
it is a great case, and it's a shame that i can only review it once :-)
Hi Mike, bought one in white for my next build. like you bought it on Sat' night delivered Mon' afternoon.
Enjoy it
I bought this case for my first build in a couple decades.
how did the build go?
Montech is making some nice cases. I still wish I had bought the King 95. :) Their Sky Two GX is also nice.
there are a lot of nice options available
Just what I've been looking for. Looking at building a new pc for my Dad, as I get frustrated at how slow his current PC is 😂. Thanks for the video.
Glad I could help! and hope you build goes well when you get round to doing it
Just done a build with the MAX. Very impressed. Quite a premium case rather than budget.
really nice case, glad you liked it
Great space in it. great price and a great review 👍
Thank you very much for it MUB HQ 😀
No problem 👍it is a great case and a great price, hard to find any faults with it really

it really is a very overall package with no downsides, i will get the white one next i think
@@mikesunboxing Like the look of the Sky One Mini for itx/matx but not got further than website as yet. White looks good choice in the Max.👍

thanks for letting me know, that is quite annoying
I’ve been looking at for a while now
it is really good value, very hard to beat

yes you can turn off all the lights and you can even buy it without fans so you can add ones of your choice
Hi Mike can it take a arctic 240 aio, the reason i ask is I have a thermatake one but not able to put the radiator on the top, not got enough room and had to put it on the front so im looking for a cheap case to accommodate it.
yes easily
Excellent review Mike 👏
Thanks 👍appreciate you

thanks for the info, hopefully yours was a manufacturing glitch, doens't seem to be many others mentioning issue with the fans
@@mikesunboxing Yea could have been overall though for the price its a great little case
it does look like a decent case for the money. i like it.
it is really good and lots of room to work in
Nice review... Thanks !!
Thanks for watching!
Looks great!
It does!
Looking like there's no dust filter behind the front mesh,? I'd prefer the fine dust filter to protect my components from dust and pay the extra couple dollars
the mesh is micro mesh and should stop the majority of dust getting in
Actually surprised to see 3x 4 pin RPM fans, a HUB and magnetic mesh filters at that price point..Not many cases out there with such value for the price
it really is a cracking deal and Scan.co.uk seem to still have the deal active
Is this a standard mid tower size case?
yes maybe a little larger than some due to the much bigger fans
Montech puts their name on PSUs Mike. I'd like to see more about them. Thanks.
i will see what i can do
@@mikesunboxing thank you Mike.

yes if you plug in the USB 3.0 plug into the motherboard header it will work and the Type c won't
@@mikesunboxing thanks mike. i really dnt need the extra type c as the mobo has it. i just need the extra 2 usb slots to put my wifi dongle and 2.4g for my keyboard.
Amazon has them in Canada for $140 for black and $160 for white
that seems quite good based on the exchange rate i think?
I cant seem to get my case fans under 600rpm, could there be a specific reason for this?
make sure the motherboard is set to PWM control and run the motherboards fan speed test to discover the high and low points.
Will let you know how I like it.
please do, always good to hear your thoughts an ideas

what the hell? how is this so cheap? no idea
maybe it is retailer generosity - unlikely though :-)
review gamemax quest
i'll see what i can do
What's wrong with it? it seems almost too good to be true.
can't fault it, great deal. well worth buying
