    Nice bike. Thanks for sharing. Like the exhaust look.. This and Norton is the closest modern production bike to a cafe racer.

    Absolutely like your bike. The silver looks wesome. Thinking get one too. I just don't like the rubber tank pads, but thats my taste.

    • @wpanik
      @wpanik  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks! I'm honestly not in love with them either, but the bike needs them. The tank is so narrow and slick there that it's very difficult to grip without the pads.

    Nice bike! A black ohlins sticker in stead of those blue ones would really match the blacked out rest! Greetz!

    Absolutely sick bike!!!! Im torn between this and a moto guzzi v7. I realize they are totally different bikes....just looking to add to my 2022 bmw r1250rt. I need something to rida around town....and this bike is a front runner! Nice job!!!!

      Thanks so much! I have really loved having my Thruxton. I think what I most enjoy is how modern it manages to feel while still having amazing classic looks.

      Thanks so much! Unfortunately not. My plan is to never own a "forever bike." Nothing wrong with that, there's just so much it there to explore! If I were going to have one though…this might be it!

      Yeah, that's a good point. I do need a ride-along video! I do have a full exhaust video posted from off the bike which gives a pretty good feel for the sound.

  • @alexdb77

    Absolutely Gorgeous! Is the ridding position too agressive? To much weight on the writs and back?

    • @wpanik
      @wpanik  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks so much!
      It's kind of like 25% more relaxed than a sportbike. Slightly lower foot controls and slightly higher clip-ons compared to a true sportbike definitely make it more comfortable than that. But for long rides it can get a little uncomfortable.
      That said, the knee pads help a lot with that giving me grip on the tank. Also the standard bike without the fairing has clip-ons with about a 2" rise making them even more relaxed.

    • @wpanik

      The seat cover is by Luimoto. The quality is great. Showing virtually no wear after about 5k mi!

  • @alexjean8071
    @alexjean8071 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Love the bike man, considering running the Arrow headers on my R. Do you run any kind of boosterplug type thing for the fueling? Just don't want to run the bike lean.

    • @wpanik
      @wpanik  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the compliment! Apparently the self-learning ECU is able to compensate. That said, you can definitely get more power with a tune!

  • @darryltovey
    @darryltovey 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video, I have the same bike in silver, just without the fairing. How did you get the seat cover sorted, was it self installed or did an upholsterer do it for you?

    • @wpanik
      @wpanik  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! The seat cover was installed by the previous owner, but he told me he was able to do it himself. He removed the OEM one and then stapled the new one in place.

  • @maccamacca7762
    @maccamacca7762 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Gorgeous bike mate. So with the Arrow headers, you mentioned the cat stays in place and is non functioning. Does that mean that the headers are relatively easy to install? I was thinking of decating and just installing the cone engineering pipes. I hear it can be a real bitch to get the factory cat out?

    • @wpanik
      @wpanik  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry for the delayed response! Sometimes YT doesn't tell me I have comments.
      The headers were actually installed by the previous owner. But yes, this is exactly my understanding as to why he went with these. Now, I've learned that there are actually two versions of the Arrow headers: one that keeps the cat in place (these) and another one with a cross pipe where you actually remove the cat. Personally I would've opted for the version where you remove the cat just to pull out some weight. But yes, it's my understanding that it's a HUGE pain to remove the cat. If you have some good experience wrenching, and are methodical with the procedure, you can make it happen!

    • @Cfitzge
      @Cfitzge 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve removed my cat and put in an x-pipe and it’s definitely not too bad at all. If you can replace the clutch cover, you’re more than capable of doing the cat.
      I’m gonna be doing my engine and clutch covers soon, so thanks for the video!

    • @wpanik
      @wpanik  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the money doesn't matter, might as well go for the RS. But they're certainly similar enough that if money is tight at all, you wouldn't ever notice the difference going with an R!

    With the exhaust mod did you retune the engine so it doesn’t run lean?

    • @wpanik
      @wpanik  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did not actually. The ECU is supposed to be able to relearn a little to compensate. But I could definitely get a little bit of a power bump with a retune.

    • @wpanik
      @wpanik  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't understand why they do that… Rizoma's stuff is so good but they always stop making it before the run of bikes is done. I guess it keeps their stuff exclusive..?
