    In next week's video, we'll be talking about industries in Chem E!
    Some smaller scale companies worth looking at:
    Carbon Engineering (Direct Air CO2 Capture) carbonengineering.com/
    ClimeWorks (Direct Air CO2 Capture) climeworks.com/
    CarbonCure (CO2 injection in concrete) www.carboncure.com/
    Planetary Hydrogen (H2 from sea water electrolysis) www.planetaryhydrogen.com/
    Proton Technologies (H2 from the in-situ combustion) proton.energy/
    CERT Systems (CO2 to fuel/pure O2) co2cert.com/
    Other industries not mentioned: food and beverage, cement, nuclear, aerospace, probably a bunch of other ones I missed :)

    Chemical Engineering in Netherlands(Especially TU/e) has a ton of chemistry. I am doing a 3 year old BSc where I have done courses from advanced inorganic chemistry to supramolecular/nano chemistry to advanced surface/interface chemistry. Granted its mostly material chemistry as I have worked with photonic materials in labs but I do think there is a ton of chemistry in engineering programmes here in netherlands.

    • @shawn.builds

      That’s awesome! Does everyone do that or was that your specialization? I wish I did more material chem courses.

    • @shawn.builds
      @shawn.builds  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      great to hear that I didn't butcher it :P i've never heard about solution thermodynamics, what's the difference between that and regular thermodynamics?

    • @deep_diaries2744
      @deep_diaries2744 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Solution thermodynamics can be seen as a branch of regular thermodynamics ...for example concepts like chemical potential, fugacity, different free energies may not be an important part of regular thermodynamics but they are an essential part of solution thermodynamics , statistical thermodynamics...

    Hey Shawn. I have been accepted into UBC Okanogan for a bachelor in science because I was unsure of what exactly I wanted to do back in January when I applied . But just recently have found chemical engineering and I am interested in taking the program that Vancouver campus offers. I would have to transfer in my second year. My questions are:
    Is it difficult to transfer into the program?
    Should i change into some type of engineering program at Okanogan to prepare for chemical engineering?
    If so what program would be best so that the classes match what I would need to take in first year chemical engineering?
    The engineering programs offered in Okanogan are:
    Mechanical engineering
    Civil engineering
    Electrical engineering
    Manufacturing engineering
    Or should I just stick with the science bachelor for first year?
    Any help is really appreciated. I’ve just recently found your content and it’s been super informative. Thanks!
