Oh, I disagree, _some_ music of this quality is absolutely stillbeing made. It's just harder to find among all the commercial rubbish (especially in some parts of the world... such as th USA with their music industry's grip on what's "popular" and what's ignored since they can't squeeze enough money of out it). One song that came to my mind pretty much immediately was Marko Hietala's "The Voice of My Father" (easy enough to find here), and even though Marko (former bassist and secondary singer of Nightwish, who are half-jokingly considered one of the main export articles of Finland...) certainly is among the top world-class musicians, there definitely are more out there 🥰

My grandma passed away 2 days ago. Things have been very difficult, but this song has helped me a lot while i'm carrying this pain inside me. She never listened to it, she has no conection to the song or the band, but this is the song that has been pulling me up since i found out she died.
